My friend had twins born at 24 wks and 3 days. Neither weighed over a lb… one stayed in the nicu for 8 months, the other came home a week after due date. They hey are 8 yrs old now and doing quite well. They are small for their age. But we can’t say it’s because they are preemies or genetics. Their mom is a short tiny thing and their dad isn’t a big fella either.
I don’t know the survival rate, I do however know that they can do miracles. My oldest grandson was born at 28 weeks weighing in at 2 pounds 6 ounces and will be 13 at the end of June. God bless you and your baby.
My cousin was a preemie. He’s 46 and as big as a football player. Take care of your baby, watch over it, and they’ll grow.
You should be having that conversation with your doctor, not face book.
With today’s medical advancements, they’ll be fine
Ask your medical team caring for your child. Pray to God. FB is not Qualified to answer that question.
I’ve been a NICU nurse for over 30 years, 29 weekers have an excellent survival rate. Talk to your nurses and doctors, they’ll be able to give you the best advice.
