I need advice from women with PCOS

I’d like to hear from other women that struggle with PCOS. I know that it affects all women differently. For me, I’ve had struggles with fertility and having a normal cycle. Here is another struggle that I think could be caused by my PCOS. I have a very low sex drive. If my partner doesn’t initiate it, we’d likely never have sex because I don’t care to. I absolutely adore him and being attracted to him is unquestionable. Once we’re started, there’s no issue, I just don’t care to initiate it and I know that it makes him feel that I’m not attracted to him or that he doesn’t turn me on and I don’t want him to feel that way. Could PCOS be the cause behind this? Of course, I know that I should talk to my doctor about this. I have an appointment coming up and could mention it but I just feel so uncomfortable/ embarrassed talking to a random man about this and almost ashamed to even have to mention it. And even if I have a hormonal imbalance and there’s medication that I could take, I’m breastfeeding and would possibly have to hold off until I’m done. So I’m just looking for advice from someone that has been in a similar situation and if there’s anything you did that helped, without medication. Thanks in advance.

You need to see endocrinology and gynecology specialists.
As for not initiating sex ask why? You said you’re breastfeeding so young ones can stop you feeling up for it, also pcos has chronic fatigue with it so that’s also another reason, so is depression, along with feeling bloated, unwanted hair etc. There is another reason why you might not initiate as somewhere deep down you’re afraid of being rejected yourself.
I was 15 when I learned I had PCOS, for 22 years I believed I couldn’t have children,I was left on dianette for 10 years which gives false periods. The endocrine/gynecology took me off that, put me on Metformin and through that I became pregnant with my precious boy.

Get a woman gyno. That’s what I did and they understand everything you tell them because they’ve probably been through it.

It’s most likely a hormone problem. I only see female doctors now because they understand.

Feel free to inbox me!! I have a couple women who suffer from PCOS and drink products from revitalu. They have their pcos under control, sex drive is back, Diabetes is gone, those that were suffering with weight issues have lost weight. Women with pcos suffer with many issues that are not discussed.

This product is only available in the US at the moment.

I have read that many use the KETO plan …gives energy…weight loss…and feeling better in gener

Wow I’m 59 years old but aside from that & not being pregnant ( lol ) you just described me to a T ! ! !

Think of them and start by kissing often at home. Touch on the arm.
PCOS could have low estrogen levels.
If your endometrial layer is thick be careful you get checked every year. I have endometriod carcenoma. Thickened endometrium / uterus can be caused by PCOS. Mine was not genetic. Stage 1 and I’m cured from the cancer going any further than uterus. I love the man I want him. Lots of dating is a precusor to sex too.

Well spell it out. Wth is PCOS

Can you possibly go to a female doctor? It would help I feel when talking about intimate issues such as this.

Yes PCOS can cause that

Start it anyway, even if you don’t feel like it. It will make him feel wanted.

Im 44 and was diagnosed with PCOS at 20. I had to have fertility treatments and when I got pregnant. I lost the baby at 8 weeks. Then a few months later I got pregnant with my son. I also have a daughter. I had complicated pregnancies too. Now at 44 I have pretty much lost my sex drive. I’m seeing my woman gynecologist this month. I think being premenopausal has alot to do with it too. Yes PCOS causes fatigue that you just want to sleep.

I have PCOS along with a testosterone abundance so I actually have the opposite of your problem. Your estrogen may be imbalanced and you have an over abundance of it. This will cause a low sex drive. Definitely recommend getting female doctors as far as your gyno and endocrinologist. I’d also look into a regular female primary to make it that much easier to be real about your current and future symptoms. Ask about your iron levels as well this can cause you to be extra tired and just extra not into doing the deed.

Try some cherry wine at night, exercise, kiegel exercise, also sea moss

Well im not a doctor or anything…
But i do know that a mother faces a lot of emotional and physical changes after delivery. Since ur child ur breastfeeding…i suppose that he is small.
I would suggest u to just give sometime to urself… try to do light exercises, yoga and stuff related to this problem. Avoid medicines at this time coz ur child is breastfeeding…as im sure these medicines would be strong.

Men are just going to have to accept the fact sex is always going to be the last thing on our minds let alone wanna start. That’s something that will 99%of the time be their responsibility in a relationship.

Never not talk to your doctor on any issues they can’t help if they don’t know…also talk to your hubby before it causes a rift in the marriage…pcos is hard to get controlled without meds and if left in treated will cause a lot of physical and emotional issues…mine was not discovered till it was to late and had to have complete hysterectomy at age 23. Talk to your doctor’s.

I’m 49. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14. I struggled and had most of the symptoms you do. I had fertility problems from day 1 of trying to have a baby. I have been pregnant 6 times, I have only 1 daughter who is 23. I buried my twin boys together. One was stillborn and the other died a few hours after birth. I had all late term miscarriages. I also suffer from endometriosis. I’m tired all the time and in pain most days. I have had many laparotomy surgeries to remove large ovarian cysts. Good luck to you. I was on Metformin for a while, but not any more.

I worked for a Reproductive Endocrinologist for 14 years that wrote a book that you can get on Amazon called PCOS The Hidden Epidemic by Samuel S. Thatcher MD. It explains PCOS in terms that you can understand. It talks about infertility. It’s a very good resource and a must read.
