It’s possible he’s lying but the algorithm is periodically adjusting, I usually get mostly building stuff or nature stuff but a few days ago all I started getting was random acts of kindness which I watched and now that seems to be what is mostly shown.
It is possible that some came through and because he didn’t skip them it started showing more.
I’m guessing he didn’t actively search them but also didn’t actively avoid them either and it’s now something that will regularly show until the algorithm adjusts but he’ll need to actively swipe them away instead of watching them.
He also needs to nut up and stand up for himself because you sound horrible and controlling. Lying is a cowards way and there is no excuse but you also need to make/keep an environment where both sides can speak what’s on their mind and it sounds like he lies because he doesn’t want to disappoint you or put up with your nagging.

All it took one was one video, which could have been nice or funny, and he could have them flood his TikTok. It may have even been a mother in the background while her husband talks about it. The FYP is absolutely tailored by the algorithm to show stuff you’re most likely to enjoy….
for example I use mine to show off my art and in turn most of the people I follow are other artists. So my FYP is constantly new artists I haven’t followed yet. I occasionally get the more “trendy” videos to pop up but most of it is art because that’s what I like and search out.
