Also, a hair dryer on high heat, against the roots will hell explode those bastards.

Bed bug Bomb your house
I drive a school bus and it used to happen quite often at one particular school . I use 90 proof whit rubbing alcohol… out it in a spray bottle soak the head wrap in a towel until dry… Kit dries pretty fast and they just fall out dead. You’ll see them on the towel. They lay eggs and hatch rapid, like every three days … I repeat every other day until I see no more in the towel and their is no more scratching… use the same bottle to spray all over Al of your surfaces … couch bed pillows car etc… it dries fast and does not stain… Please… spray it on the head outside where there is plenty of air . Do not do it inside…you need ventilation… but it does work… 90 proof … not 70 not 40!
Wash and blow dry…then flat iron@
Not sure if my comment posted but DE gets rid of them for good!

Go to Lice Clinics of America. That’s how we got rid of my daughters!
I put ivermectin in a spray bottle and it killed the lice immediately and the eggs didn’t hatch. I got rid of it in 1 day.
Ivermectin Topical: Uses, Side Effects, Interactions, Pictures, Warnings & Dosing - WebMD.
I could never get rid of it til I went to these people!
I hired the.lice crew
Put a couple of drops of tea tree oil in coconut shampoo and conditioner. Also you can put mayonnaise on her head and wrap her head in a plastic bag for about 15 minutes. Make sure you use a lice comb to Get all dead bugs and eggs out of her hair especially behind her ears and nape of hair. You may want to have her hair cut also. These remedies worked for my Grandkids as every time I got them on weekends they had them. It’s not a shame for a child to get them but it is to keep them. Also the whole family needs to be treated.
Smother them. Old school remedy. Cover her head with mineral oil and put a plastic cap on her head. I promise that they will go away.
Katie Henson …can you help out with this?
This stuff def works.!
Pour on Ivermectin. 1 part Ivermectin to 3 parts conditioner. Saturate her head and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash out and comb through. Repeat in 7 days. Make sure all of her bedding is washed in hot water, dried on high and if you want to be extra cautious, bag it and set it in the sun for a few days. Spray all furniture and carpet with bed bug spray. Forget that lice spray that comes in the kits, it’s worthless. And good luck!
Cut it it will grow back
Ask doctor about this
There are services that will do it.
Buy the 10% on line or from a feed store.
Look into I v e r m e c t I n
Have you used a straightener on it? World the heat help kill?
We went through this with my son when they had an outbreak at school & I ended up buying 10% permethrin from the feed store and mixing it about 1/3-1/2 with the nix cream rinse (nix is 1% permethrin and this made it about 4-6%), letting it sit, then combing through a small section at a time with a lice comb.
I also bought the lice combs with the long metal teeth rather than the plastic ones, and that seemed to get a lot more. I kept upcoming for several days even after I didn’t see any more lice or nits.
This plus washing all of his bedding and jackets and everything in hot water and washing his headboard and the walls around the bed worked.
We had to do it several times because the school hung everyone’s jackets up together touching and lice kept spreading.
There’s a pill (Stromectol) you can take & everyone in the family has to take it. If she does to school it might also be a problem w kids spreading it.
Keep her hair braided or up
This group right here.
Have a professional service come in and treat the whole house as well as continued daily treatment on the hair. Trow away all brushes and hair accessories. Continue to launder everything soft on high temp
I don’t know if you have something like this in your area but you can try
I had mine all cut off
malathion lotion prescribed by the doctor. The junk at the stores dont work. After that you gotta comb comb comb. Treat hair with mayo and coconut oil afterwards. Put everything you can in dryer on high heat for a cycle. Bag up anything else n leave it like that for a couple of weeks. High heat and suffocating is what’s needed. If you miss one, then that’s all it takes for reinfestation. Dont forget shoes, backpacks, toys, mattresses, brushes, hair ties, etc. Literally EVERYTHING. Vacuum vacuum vacuum!! Dont forget to dump it outside!! Put a few drops of tea tree oil and coconut oil into all shampoo and conditioners to help prevent. Pull her hair up into a bun and spray with hairspray when around others to help prevent too
Lice Clinics of America
Shampoo her hair to kill the bugs. Comb thru and let dry. Then use the Straightening iron…in sections. Kills eggs. Do it everyday for the week until reshampoo.
If you are treating home properly this should take care of problem.
Make sure you’ve vaccumed your car too. Slot of ppl forget that part.
Try hair dye also time to bomb your house with bug bombs
Use a hair straightener
Vamousse works so good! I recommend trying it
Clearlice or flea shampoo
Teatree oil helps alot
Licefree is the only stuff that has ever worked.
It also has a repellent spray to use during the school year… it works
These people are amazing - used them when my daughter came home from a sleepover with them
I’ve heard love clinics work
licealiz po babad nyo lang po sa ulo nya
100% real Mayo!!! Wear it on all night with a paper bag on hair. Wash out
When my daughter was little she got them from a neighbor. Her hair was the same. We did mayonnaise and then put a shower cap on her head… worked fantastic. The oil made all eggs fall off. And suffocated the bugs.
I had head lice for MONTHS when i was around 11-12. I stayed out of school bc every time i went back i would get it again. We bought cheap conditioner and smothered my hair in it and left it for a couple of hours and it killed them every time. We of course made sure to wash all things cloth that my head touched and that seemed to do the trick. Good luck!
There are some great ideas on here that I’ve used too! However, the best way I found was a shop named lice avengers. I don’t know what your financial situation looks like but there are shops who do only this. They recommend a screening for everyone in the house, but then treat only those who need it. The one we went to she was very informative, she showed me everything and lice was gone that day. She told us what to do before and after treatment and we got in the next day. It was so painless, she guaranteed her work and was worth every penny…just a thought! Good luck, having lice sucks so bad
You have to wash everything!! I mean everything!! Boil combs and brushing! If you have couches and such that are fabric spray them down too! And yes it’s best to do everyone’s hair in your household. Spray the mattress. It’s a lot of work. But if they are in your house which they will be she will keep getting them.
You should cut her hair this time at least chin length…they could lay egg in every part of the strand of her hair.my brother used to have it when we were kids and he loves to play under the sun. Everyday we try to kill as much as we can especially the eggs then we comb it with a lice comb kill the big ones and then one time we even washed his hair with dog shampoo that kills tick it works with lice too but you really have to be patient combing your child’s hair…
This is gonna sound crazy and idk maybe you could give it a try or maybe not. When I was little and had a lot of lice and it was out of control. My mom tried everything and nothing worked until my mom was fed up and threw rubbing alcohol on my hair and scalp. Yes that’s crazy idk if I’d do that to my kids but. Honestly it worked. I’ll never forget the image of all those nasty things dying and literally falling off my head.
Although it is not recommended for your hair but, listerine has alcohol that will kill the lice afterwards dilute vinegar to loosen up the glue that holds nits to the hair shaft. Have her sleep somewhere else besides her room for a couple of days. Lice dies in 2 days on their own. I would also wash all of her bedding a couple of hot cycles to be on the safe side .
There are lice removal clinics that are a complete life saver. And lice cannot live off of a human head for more than 24 hours. So don’t stress out too much over all the bedding and stuffies.
Might need a new mattress … my sisters struggled with it and found out the mattress was infested plus u will need to cut her hair to manage the live better … her hair will grow out again
When I was in 4th grade I got lice from a girl that was a new transfer and she sat next to me in our classroom. My mom used this home remedy.
Vaseline on the head with a shower cap overnight. You will have to plaster this all over her head and make sure all her hair is completely coated. (For longer hair I would recommend probably using the entire container. But it would be alot less work and most importantly more effective if you cut the hair.)
The lice suffocate in the Vaseline over night. Rinse the hair in the morning and the lice should fall right off. It will make her hairy greasy but you will have to do multiple washes with shampoo.
Take any stuffed animals and bedding and put them in a garbage bag for a week, then wash and dry all of them after 7 days. You can purchase a lice fogger for the remainder of your home (this works like a flea fogger) Good luck!
I was also told this same method works with mayonnaise but Vaseline smells better lol
Life Free at Walmart is the only thing I’ve had work. I have 3 girls, and all their hair is thick and at the time was past their butts. You also can’t just rely on combing their hair. I sat with a headlamp, and went strand by strand picking the dead ones out, and all the nits. It’s a pain in the butt, but unless you get 100% of the nits out, which the comb just doesn’t do, the problem won’t go away. All it takes is that 1 egg that didn’t get enough treatment
My aunt had used Hair dye for my cousin when younger, and it really worked. Try and find the same shade as her natural color. Dye it put a bag over it let the dye do it thing and remove then use a lice comb to comb through hair
My sister and I battled head lice for 6 months. We would take bottles of alcohol and dump over our heads and comb it out. At night we slathered mayonnaise on our heads and wrapped plastic around them and smothered them at night.
Go to the market and get Suave coconut shampoo and conditioner. Have her wash her hair and then use a ridiculously large amount of the conditioner. Have her let it stay on for a minimum of 5 minutes. Then before rinsing comb through the hair and they will comb out.
My daughter and I both had lice for about 6 month, this trick cleared it up doing it every day until I wasn’t seeing any.
See if there is a lice removal salon in your area. They will get it out and tell you what to do for your home.
Heat kills lice. Blow dry her hair in the am and pm. Gather all bedding and run it through the clothes dryer every day and all stuffed animals can be put in the drier too! It works!
For hair I use tea tree oil and suave kertain conditioner. Mix it put in hair wrap a tops bag then towel around hair for as long as she can stand then comb it out then get in and wash it out
I’m not crazy, promise it works. Take all the beddings and wash and dry them…. Keep them in the dryer extra long so they heat extremely hot.
For her, it seems horrible and extreme but in middle school my cousin and I had hair down to our butt…… we tried everything and our love never would go away. Finally, one day we turned out head completely over so nothing would drain into our eyes and poured gas on our head. As soon as it hit of course they was falling out like crazy. It took less than a minute and we took the water hose and washed it out with Ajax. After that we went straight to the shower and washed again. Took our hair and out it up in a hair net after we got out of the shower. After we sat for a few minutes we took our hair down and she combed through and got all the dead bugs that didn’t fall out and the knits. It took forever to get the knits out but she had to make sure they were all out or it was all for nothing.
My cousin has sores in her head cause her live was worse and of course it burnt but we were desperate. It didn’t hurt either and we are grown now and just fine…. It can’t hurt you as long as your in a open space when you pour it on and make sure the head is tilted completely straight down to the ground so it won’t run into the eyes. Only leave it on for 15-20 seconds and rinse immediately with Ajax and rinse outside before she goes to the shower.
No judgement or smart comments please…. Unless you have been in the situation you don’t understand.
Use grease in her hair- lice can’t breathe with grease or use the blow dryer in her hair 2-3 times a week - the heat will kill them…
Stay out of fall leaves when raking.Animals and birds can leave critters behind while in the trees !Having worked in the schools for 33 years the school nurse was the go to. Spraying furniture, rugs ,cars , cloths , hampers closets any contact from the infected heads . Whole family is recommended to use special lice shampoo and ask best friends to Check their heads. They can live off a host for 3 days then crawl back on . So vacuuming is good after the spray kills. Long hair may need extra shampoo. Some kids in the school actually cut their hair out of frustration. Lice Spray and shampoo add up so some schools have funds for families that are in need financially. Hope this helps.
Apple cider vinegar. Coconut oil and hot water. Use the hot water to melt the coconut oil and mix it all together and pour over your daughters head. Let the water cool first but it always works for my little one.
They have essential oils that could help with lice and keeping them gone.
Use a hair straightener and get as close to scalp as possible. Also, you could take her to lice removal salon.
Flat iron her hair… even if it’s straight anyway… the heat will kill the bugs and eggs and help melt the glue that sticks the eggs to the strands of hair…
I agree with Melissa Heldwein shave her head throw the clippers out with the hair then fog the house. Dont forget to treat your pets. And your automobiles
I had long thick hair to the waist and my hair had to be cut really short. My Mother cried
Have you tried mayonnaise . And put all her stuffed animals in trash bags and forget about them for a long while
Put mayonnaise in her hair cover with a plastic cap or bad tight for an hour
Lice angels on TikTok has products they sell. Haven’t had that issue but it seems to work for them
Crisco. Spelling I know is off but that what I used with peroxide
Well you also need to put all stuffed toys in wash dry and seal in zipper plastic bags for a week and the very last resort I mean the very last Nothing else works you might have to break out the clippers and shaved head and
Coconut oil. In the group home i worked in before the kidsgot a perscription we used coconut oil. If she doesn’t have school just keep adding it to her hair. It smoothers them
Listerine soak her head cover with shower cap 45 minutes comb throughout always worked for us
I’ve been through this and what really worked was a zapper comb
my mom used mayo and a shower cap. id sit like that for hours. then shed comb thru with a fine tooth comb. my son had it when he was younger. he has longer thick hair. id use coca cola and conditioner. conditioner suffocates them. also tea tree oil!
Maybe there is a lice clinic in your area!
Sulfur 8 hair grease and clear plastic shower caps sulfur 8 shampoo and lice nit comb
Don’t forget to treat your vehicles; car seats etc.
Mayo and hair net! Won’t burn her head and it works
Shave it. It’ll grow back and you will finally be done with lice
Take her to the health department they will take care of the issue
Hire someone. It’s a thing and a lifesaver!
Shave it all off and start again!..
