You’ve either got to wash ALL soft items that she uses in hot water or bag them up in an airtight bag for a week. This includes stuffed animals, throw pillows, throws, small area rugs, car seats covers, etc. and not just bedding.
Cut her hair ! It’s not worth it for that child to have to go thru all that . Shorter hair is easier to take care of !
I had hair past my bottom too and I had a terrible lice problem as well. It was my neighbors. Any time I went over there I would bring the lice back home. My mother refused to cut my hair (thank goodness) and we powered through it. We would put mayonnaise and egg into my hair, a good lather, and then we’d wrap my hair up and put it under a bag for two hours. After that we would wash it out and use the lice comb on the front porch for hours combing and picking through my hair. On top of that, the whole house needs to be deep cleaned and bombed. All stuffed animals need to be bagged up and washed at a laundry mat and then kept in a bag until the house is clean. Wash her pillows, put a cover on her mattress. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, all the time and everything. Great everyone too, not just her. Make sure any animals have you to date flea meds as well. You do not have to cut her hair all off. I did not and I got rid of it. What the comb wouldn’t or couldn’t remove, my mother picked out. It was long hours of tedious work but neither one of us wanted to cut my hair off. Start adding tea tree oil to all of her shampoo as a preventative
My doctor told my guardian to use equal parts mineral oil and vinegar. Put up in a Walmart sack or shower cap. Let hair down in the morning but leave that mineral oil vinegar on your head for 3 days then rinse and wash your shampoo (like normal) hair. I remember us washing the being too.
After treatment…They hate coconut! Try coconut oil. Even coconut shampoo and conditioner daily. Leave in coconut spray every morning before school and keep her hair up! Tea tree oil too.
Wash and condition her hair, blow dry until just damp. Take a hair straightener on her hair, the hot steam kills the lice and releases the eggs. I learned this on my own when my daughrers got it.
At walmart you can buy a spray and shampoo called fairytales rosemary repel. It did WONDERS for my house. We got lice really, really bad a couple of years ago. I was doing exactly what your doing. For hair treatment only I was doing lice treatment on the entire house (5 people) every 2 days, combs hair everyday. Washing hair every night, we use head and shoulder shampoo because it irritates the lice, blowing drying hair until completely dry because it kills lice and ever morning and every night spraying “fairytales” in our hair. In about 2 weeks we no longer had lice.
We quit doing the lice treatments but still use fairytales so we dont get it again. Fairytales also have a shampoo but I have not tried it because the spray worked so good.
The less stuffed animals, clothes, bedding you have available the easier it is to get rid of lice. I understand how impossible it is to do that, our living situation then was hard, in a 2 bed apartment we have 3 adults and 2 kids but we bagged everything up that we could live a month without and either had it in the trucks of our cars or in the closets. And everything that stayed got thrown in the dryer on high everyday for 90 minutes.
Good luck fellow mom.

Try cutting her hair to get rid of them! She can always grow her hair back
My mil says vinegar first… Leave it in and add vegetable oil over the top then wrap it in glad wrap. Leave for a few hours. The combo suffocate them and lifts them off the scalp
Have you treated your vehicle? Also, try listerine mouth wash, the green one. Tea tree oil shampoo also helps.
Use hair products in her hair. Lice can’t move around in hair that has gel or mouse or hair spray in it.
On Amazon there is a treatment that works wonders. My daughter kept getting lice when she went to her dads and this was what worked. You do need to make sure your vacuuming everything and making sure your drying everything for at least half an hour. Vacuum the bed, dry the bedding and pillows. Vacuum the couch, all the carpet, etc.

Tea tree oil and peppermint but do not get it in her eyes because it will burn… we got it one time and it was this “super lice” they were almost like clear transparent fleas inside my kid’s head they were huge, but we tried everything in regular lice medicine wouldn’t kill them! So tea tree oil and peppermint oil… spray all your bedding immediately after the kid leaves it dry it and keep everything sprayed in 100% alcohol while your treating once a day with tea tree oil and peppermint oil! It worked for us and it was a very long process we had to keep waiting for eggs to just hatch and hatch and hatch and I didn’t think it was ever going to stop and then one day it did… so just keep trying you’re doing everything right you’re just not getting the eggs is what it sounds like…
