My son is 21 months and never calls me mum or anything like that… it was his first word, and mumbled it a lot just because it was all he knew and now he doesn’t say mumma or dada.
He literally only says please, ta, more and car.
Awe is she your first they do that it’s horrible but mine call me Mama still every once in a while and it’s so wonderful
My boys are 6 and 8 and still call me mamma 
My daughter started calling me Momeh as a teenager so she could still call me mommy around her friends. She’s 22 and I’m still Momeh 
My 4 y/o son says mama about a million times a day lol, also he calls me mommy and occasionally ill here a mom here and there. My two y/o daughter calls me mama.
my son Is Almost 8 He used to call me by my name when he was younger now its mum… But he Knows to Call me by my name if he was Lost So someone can Find me better x

My 19 month old only calls me mummy when he knows he’s done something wrong or he wants something rest of the time its mom or ma!
If hes upset hes calls me mumums 
It made me sad when mine went from calling me “Mom” to calling me “Mother”…they’re all adults with kids of their own and didn’t want their kids(when they were little) to be confused.

My 10 year old daughter recently called me BRUH so that was a sad day. However, I have 4 year old step son who calls me “babe” lol. To clarify his father and I started dating when my step son was just 18 months, his dad always calls me babe, so Thats what he calls me too. Yes he knows my real name but REFUSES to call me by it🤷

My kids have never called us mom and dad they’ve always said our first names. Some people hate it but it doesn’t bother me. I personally think the mom and dad is a little weird and nowadays gross.

It’s sad but it’s a part of their growing up. You go from Mama, to Mommy, to Mom, but hopefully not Mother. My 13 year old still calls me Mommy more than Mom. My 25 year old calls me Grammy, since he’s got a son now.
My boys didnt stop calling me mommy until around 8… and that hurt. But I still have my baby (4), so in a few years I may cry my eyes out…
Also they still call me mom. No bro, bruh, dude around here lol.
At least you know that she’s talking to you.
It could just be that her language is developing, and it a great sign that she’s learning and growing.
You can’t keep your daughter in baby state forever.

My 9 and 11 year old sometimes refer to me as dude. Which is probably my fault in retrospect. It’s definitely hard when they transition between different forms of mom. I have learned however with the youngest that she calls me mom, momma or mommy based on needs or feelings. My oldest is my bonus child so I have the same understanding with different forms of my first name.
My 11 yr old asks all the time when she can start calling me mom. I tell her not now and maybe never. Lol. I am not ready for that.

My son slipped back into the mama after a brief trip into mom and now uses mommy as well! He’s turning 3 next month. It might depend on what she hears people refer to you as

My son is 12 and still calls me mama sometime im also Susie which is his step mom but its okay. And he still calls his dad “daddy” I love it! I hope he never changes to mom and dad

Let your child determine what they feel comfortable calling you. Be glad you have the child to call you mom. There are several parents who would love to hear any form of mom.

My 6 year old will call me mother…then follow it with the mother knows best song from tangled. It’s normally when she wants something but gotta love being referred to as a disney villain

The day I became “dude-mom…” LOL but just be grateful they still call and appreciate every stage.
Mine tried to call me mom around age 10 and I told her no it’s mama lol. Then at age 11-12 she just started doing it but I didn’t always register it. Now it’s mama when she wants something lol I’ll take what I can get.
My daughter called me mama then just stopped at around 16 months, she started again one day out of the blue when she was about 23 months
My 18 year old still calls me mommy. I’m lucky. Makes me smile when she does.
I know I sound goofy but I can’t stand when young adults and teenagers and some adults call their parents mommy and daddy, just sounds childish to me. Sorry, just my opinion.
Don’t worry the small stuff. Just wait until they start the… Mom mom mom mom mom mom mom. You will look at them and reply in your most patient and loving voice…WHAT!

My girls grew up and are in their twenties and they mave started calling me Mama again❤. Hang in there. They come up with their own endearments.

Aww!! Mine stopped around then too, but now she is 11 and has called me “mommy” for a long time! Maybe yours will end up switching again!! 
My 12year old calls me Parental unit…now that hurts. She doesn’t say it all the time just mostly when she is with her friends.

I was a young mum, everybody called me Rell. My son called me Rell before saying mum
My 32 yr old son still calls me momma. Melts my heart and brings a smile to my face.
My 4 year old calls me mom, she’s my baby so I cried when she did. My older two still call me mommy.

My oldest Son called me by my name for years. At first he would say dad and then Lisa but he started to call his dad by his name too. He heard our real names more often than mom and dad. When he was about 5 we had to make him stop. He did this for several years. Now we are mom and dad again!!!

For the 1st 2yrs of my daughters life I was called “baby”. I was so shocked when out of the blue she said Mommy
My middle kid is 14 & he’s called me by my name since he was 3!!
Don’t worry, she will call you Mommy again…when she is a teenager and wants something. 
One of my sisters and I called my mom mommy until we moved to North Carolina and our friends started making fun of us so we changed it to Mama real fast
My children went from Mommy to Ma,they only day Mommy when talking amongst each other…It doesn’t bother me, as long as they don’t call me by name. Lol

My 16 yo still calls me mommy because I yelled at him when he was in 3rd grade for calling me mom. My poor son. I wasn’t ready and overreacted a bit. He will occasionally call me momma.
Don’t have this problem if it do happen my, daughter and I will have a serious problem because respect is given to those who respect

It’s a show progression. Goes on order from mama>mommy>mom>then “dude” or “bruh”.

Okay my three year old did this for about 3 weeks then she started back with Mommy. 
Keep referring to yourself as Mama. It may come back.

She only repeating what she hears other people calling you - they outgrow it
I call my mom “MA “ my oldest(21) calls me mother and my baby(19) calls me mom:joy: I kinda like those names better then “MA”

As long as they dont call me my 1st name or a curse word I’m good
