I'm Struggling with the Fact My Toddler No Longer Calls Me 'Mama': Advice?

Only answer to the name YOU chose. Period.

My kids call me bruh or homie soooooo…

My daughter stopped early too. I was so sad. Now she’s 3 and calls me mommy girl. Girls are sassy.

My five year old calls me Kashmir now.

My 8yo still calls me Mama my 5yo too

My daughter is 31 years old and calls me Ma its ok just as long as she calls me

My 12 year old still calls me mommy unless we are around his friends then it’s mother lol

My 18 year old went from Momma to Mother just to irritate me. I’ve started responding, “Yes. Norman?”. He stopped.

My oldest turning 20 in a few weeks, in order: Mama, mommy, mom, Ma, B***h, Mother, MA.

My son went through this change too. I always cringe at “mommy” , so me and my whole family called me “mama” for my son and by 4 he was just calling me mom. Now he’s almost 8 and only calls me mama when he wants something :rofl:

My step daughter calls her dad Mr Baldhead and has since she was 3 or 4. He loves it and gets sad if she calls him dad. :joy:

It’s all good until the time they call you a Bitch and they all do at some point

I’m 22 & pregnant with my first i think i’m going to have a hard time being called mama :joy: but im sure that will change when he or she is here

No matter what she calls me, she’ll always be my baby

If you don’t like that wait until she starts school and she starts calling you the teachers name. Or when she a teen and calls you … … she has heard someone else. Let her find her own title for you and make it Special between you two. She will find her way. My husband and I were MommyO and DaddyO for a while, go figure?

My 18 months daughter calls me by name or aunt Fiona or Hanna which is her name. She hears other people call me Fiona or aunt Fiona and that’s what she calls me, I try to tell her I’m mom and she says no no😂

My 4 year old still calls me mummy, sometimes it’s jsjt ‘mummm!’ it’s mummy if she wants something🤣xx

Not having a hard time . My daughter does does mommy and mom . As long as she doesn’t call me by my first name I’m okay :tipping_hand_woman:t5:

My 2 year old calls me mama if she’s tired, mommy when crying and Mom if she’s mad at something lol

Depends on if they are trying to butter me up for a “yes” to anything they think I may say “No” too

My daughter has always called me Mom, doesn’t mean they love us less. I’ve also always called my mom just mom (or mum).
I see it as my daughters brain is matured to where she doesn’t have the “stutter” when saying it (mom-mom or as some would say mama)

My almost 3 year old calls me dosey mostly… my Husbands fault. At first we could not work out what he was saying then it clicked. :see_no_evil:

Sometimes my 3yo tries to call me by my commonly used nickname. I ignore it until he calls me by his usual, mom or mommy.
My 6mo will call me mama or umba (what we use for nursing).
I’m still mom to my 9yo

I call my daughter babe n her baby calls her babe…lol…Idk…

It’s just a phase. Be happy she calls you! Lol

My adult children always called me Mommy and still do when refer to me with each other.:blush::heart_eyes:
