Is blood work to detect gender accurate?

I’d blood work done to detect the gender of the baby, has anyone had it accurate? I was 11.5 weeks when I got it done and doctor reported it’s pretty accurate. My baby heart beat is 170, I would like to hear some stories!

Blood work is the most accurate way to get baby’s gender. You can always double check with an ultrasound too.

Yes. Had a girl and blood test was correct

Mine said girl and I had a girl.

Yes it’s very accurate m. Had it done with my third. But with a 170 heartbeat I’m gonna say your having a girl

Worked for me! And very early - 12 weeks or so

Yes worked with all 3 of mine!

Yesss! I loved it and I’m about done and he’s still a boy!

Have a friend who’s blood work said boy and per ultra sound she is having a girl.

My blood test said twin girls and I had twin girls

Yes. Said I was having another girl and I sure did

Yes both times said boy. I have 2 boys

I had 1 with my youngest. It was very accurate it said boy and that’s what I had.

I was also around that for along for my blood work and it was accurate! Now I have a 7 month old rotten boy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

11.5 wks is too young to go by heartbeat I was told so if it came back as a boy for bloodwork I would go with that and it would be at ur 20wk ultrasound they would also check the gender

Yep with all 4. 3 boys and a girl. With my girl I did it at 8 weeks and it was still accurate

Yes accurate for me. He’s almost 6 months now.

Yep, said girl, twas a girl. (I only did this in one pregnancy) In my personal experience, my girls were higher heart rates than my boys. 170 for me would mean a girl lol. Either way, congratulations!!! And here’s to a healthy and happy pregnancy! :clinking_glasses:

Mine was accurate said was having girl I had a girl

I was 12 weeks 3 days when I had mine done and it was correct.

Accurate for me baby girl

Yes. At 10 weeks said I’m having a boy. Confirmed at anatomy scan at 21 weeks it’s a boy!!

Yes mine was accurate and got mine at 9 weeks

Mine was accurate!!!

My sons baby was a boy with blood test at 12 weeks and confirmed boy with ultrasound at 20 weeks …I was worried but seems pretty accurate

Yes, because girls have the same chromosomes as us so it wouldn’t show anything different on your bloodwork… but boys have different chromosomes so it would show up during blood tests. Everyone I know that went by the bloodwork was 100% accurate on single pregnancies… harder to determine on twin pregnancies. Heartbeat accuracy fluctuates from person to person so I wouldn’t solely rely on that.

Yep. It checks the chromosomes so it’s actually more accurate than ultrasound…

I had mine at 12 weeks and 20 week ultrasound confirmed that the baby was a boy.

It’s 99.9% accurate, more accurate than going based on heartbeat and more accurate than ultrasound.

I had it done at 10 weeks with my last two and it was right on, girls both times.

Had mine done at 14 weeks and it was correct!

Yes! I did mine in a professional setting rather then at home just to be sure

Yes I had blood work at 11 weeks to determine gender and also detect any genetic abnormalities, everything was confirmed at my 20 week ultrasound that I am having a boy and no genetic abnormalities so the blood work was very accurate

It’s over 99% accurate, if by chance it is wrong it’s usually because of user error.

Yes, blood work is the most accurate way to determine to sex

Did mine at 9 weeks, accurate for us!

Got mine at 10 weeks with the results at 12 weeks…… it said a boy and we had a boy lol he’s 14 months now :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Its a girl. Girls hear rates are fast. Boys around 120-130s.

The blood test are more accurate then the ultrasound.

Mine were accurate, was told it’s like 99.8% accurate

Mine was definitely correct ! His has stayed between 160-170

We had a NIPT/QNATAL test done at 10 weeks 3 days with our third and final pregnancy… Ultrasound and blood test lined up. Ultrasound tech said she had never had a NIPT/QNATAL test wrong (99% accurate) it’s blood tests like sneak peak and such to go wrong

I had mine done at 11 weeks for this current pregnancy. I was fully expecting my 3rd boy. But NIPT says it’s a girl! My doctor swears its more accurate than ultrasound when done by a professional.
At home tests have room for error

My nipt was accurate both times. Heart rate, my girl was low, boys high.

It’s accurate, tests genetics

Blood work and sono said boy. I now have a 3 week old boy.

It’s a blood test so they actually test the chromosomes.,… most accurate test out there…

I had mine done at 8 weeks and it was accurately confirmed via ultrasound at 20 weeks.

Blood tests at 99% accurate. They are far more accurate than ultrasounds.

Did any of you young moms ever just want to wait and see what it is? I had people guessing what I was having but the doctors never told. It was nice not knowing what I was having until the birth

Mine have always been accurate

A friend of mine had it done and it was wrong. Best of luck.

More accurate than the gender scan. I did 2/3 and both were correct

You can’t tell with heartbeat, my 3 boys were anywhere from 140s to 180s
Blood work should be pretty accurate

Nipt is never wrong for gender. The sneak peek test is often wrong when contaminated by male dna :dna: a girl result is usually right though.

Yes it’s very accurate!

Mine right with my son

It was corrected for all my kid.s I did it at 10 weeks

It’s like 99% accurate I believe. Mine said boy at 10 weeks

Anatomy scan at 20 weeks confirmed that.

I’ve had mine done 2 times and both times it was right

Nothing to tell gender should never be taken as 100% because there is never a garentee but wat is accurate is Wen the child has been born

At 10 weeks mine was correct. Scan proved it.

I had the panorama genetic testing done at 11 weeks. Told me I’m having a boy. It was correct.

They where spot on with both of my baby’s

  1. I say little girl

Mine was done at 11 weeks, ultrasound confirmed. I go in for induction tomorrow!

Mine was done and was accurate.

Yep was right with my son. We had 4 daughters and bloodwork said #5 was a boy!

100%. It can’t be wrong

Yes. It detects the presence of a Y chromosome in your bloodstream. I used it for both of my kiddos

It’s 99% accurate. Was right with both of my babies.

Mine was accurate with all 3 of my kids.

Yes. Did sneak peek test.

That heartbeat is super high like both my girls was. My son has always been way lower. We done that panorama testing with second daughter and our son. Both were correct.

I guess it’s how they identify male or female :rofl::star_struck:

They literally separate the baby’s dna from yours and test it, so the only way it will be inaccurate is if they test it too soon or if there is a mix up at the lab.
It wasn’t offered yet when my oldest 3 were born but I did have it done with my last 3 and it was correct with all of them.

I was told my son was a healthy baby girl, he was born with 2 of the rarest genetic disorders.

Never heard of detecting gender via bloods. The most accurate way is the 20 week scan

I heard girl can be wrong. But not we don’t make that chromosome so it’s accurate

But will say they said my boy was girl and later tested and it was boy

I had the Sema4 Noninvasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) and it can be used to determine fetal sex at greater than 99% accuracy.

I had the blood work done with my daughter and my results came back i was having a girl so its pretty accurate.

Mine was right it said it was a boy and I had a boy

I found out 11 weeks with the sneak peak gender blood test

Boy heartbeat more than 150 is most probably a boy

I had the option of learning my last babys gender with bloodwork and it was accurate…they said she was a girl and she is

I did it with my first child. Was told I was having a boy-by the physician I worked for. I was too excited to look so I had her read them. Told my husband and all. Then on my way home, my obgyn called and told me she was sorry but there wasn’t enough DNA in the sample to make an actual call on gender. I delivered a little girl six months later. When we were presented with the same opportunity on our second child we decided to just wait and see at our anatomy scan. So now we have two beautiful girls. Same happened with my friend. She was told a boy through blood and found out at the anatomy scan she was having a girl.

Accurate for me. Mine said boy at 7.5 weeks and i just had my baby boy on Thursday.

It is really accurate

Had it done at 7 weeks. Accurate.

I got mine done and it was right

Wait for the 13 week scan, go to a blood lab, op for the full genetic testing. It’s more accurate, you can find out more about baby’s health, including if baby is a carrier for any genetic disorders and finding out the sex comes with the test.

Went for all 3 of mine, found out the results 3-5 days later.

99.9% on blood tests. Heart rate has nothing to do with gender. Myth

I’m only 9 weeks but my baby’s heartbeat is 170 as well! I can’t wait to find out

I did mine for my current pregnancy and it said 99.9% girl and my scan showed a girl

I was 8 weeks when I had blood work done with my daughter and it was accurate :ribbon:

The one in the doctors office: almost always right.

The one you mail off your blood to: more inaccurate. easy to mess up accidentally
