I wouldn’t pay that for a non official in home day care
$ 50 is cheap. Especially if you are happy with their care.
Offer to let her watch a 3rd child in your home to offset costs
I take what daycare subsidy pais by day. Its usually about 22.00 per day. Depends on the kids ages too.
Here in texas u can always file on your taxes for childcare deduction the babysitter will have to also so maybe look into that if it’s a possibility I’m sure with that being said prices may differ
In Canada , Ontario $50 is the norm for home childcares.
Most other day cares ( who claim their income ) only charge $35-$40 per day for a whole day
Honestly it should be $50/hr not per day
I paid 30 a weekday shift and 50 a weekend shift 20+ yrs ago.
It varies on area you live in.
12 years ago I was paying $720 month living in a city, it was more than my rent with utilities-always was. By the time I left the city 4 years later, it was $1,200/month.
To me, what you’re paying isnt over priced. If it doesnt work for tou then find something else.
These people are caring for your children, just remember that when you’re looking for cheap
My childcare is $1500 per month
See you could get a child care voucher
I only paid 440 a month
Girl people usually charge 100 a day u got it good
Don’t have kids if you can’t pay for childcare. Poor mother. Put yourself in her shoes. I’d watch a kid an hour for that much. Nothing more.
It might be high, but I think the real question is if she’s worth it. I struggle to trust anyone with my children. If I found someone worth keeping, I’d pay the extra
I pay 150 a week for 5 days not including any weekends. My sons daycare closed permanently during covid. I was paying 120 a week. He’s now goes to his daycare teachers home and it’s 150 a week.
I paid $40 a day and that was a few years ago. So $50 doesn’t sound too far off. I wish I could find someone at $20 a day!
Our daycare runs ~$1,020 per month for 5 days a week, 8-10 hrs per day for infant (0-24 months) down to about $812 per month for 3+ yo. That includes breakfast, lunch, and 1 snack.
Most day cares charge that a day AND still require that you pay for your spot even if you don’t need them that day.
You’d be better off with a little live-in nanny.
I pay 65 a day for a license daycare
Oh wow that is not too much childcare it’s so much work that price is a blessing sometimes we just have to do what we have to do because it could be more if you go somewhere else
600 is about the average and some are more. Affordable is hard to find. Depending on your income check and see if you can get help through the state. If you can get help it has to be a daycare that is state approved
