Job ideas for me?

I'm a stay at home mom. Both my kids are in school from 910 to 330. I was thinking of looking for a job. Not that I have to but I'm feeling kind of bored lol. But I could only work like 930 to 230 and no weekends or holidays. I'd also have to be able to leave if my child was needing to be picked up from school. Any recommendations on jobs? I can't do Door dash or anything driving around as I have a gas guzzler.

Retail merchandiser. That’s what I do. I work for Hallmark as an RM. You pick when you work. As long as you get your stores done, it doesn’t matter when you do the work as long as the store is open. There’s many different companies that do merchandising. Driveline is another one. They service dollar general stores.

I worked at the mall when all my kids were in school. My hours were 10-2…most department stores like “older” help in the day time so they can get more stocking/work done.

There’s like no money in it unless you talk a lot of people into buying something or becoming part of the team but you said you’re bored :woman_shrugging:t3:
Maybe start a business? Lots of people are making adorable baby clothing… custom design coffee mugs and shot glasses? Repurposing old liquor bottles.

In our area they are so desperate for workers at almost all businesses they are letting people work basically any shift that fits their schedule. Good luck!!

I am a corporate recruiter for a home healthcare company.

Home care providers are able to set their own hours and availability. They typically make a couple of dollars above minimum wage. I live in the state of Arizona and there are no specific licenses or requirements in order to be at a home care provider. Something to look into.

I pay my housekeeper 20+ bucks an hour in Nevada. And that’s on the cheaper end

Maybe start volunteering at your kids school and work your way into a position.

If you’re crafty invest some time into making some things to sell then you can work at home and still do something you enjoy and not have to worry about needing to work around the kids schedules.

What about working for the schools?

Mining on your computer

If you’re bored just structure your day with doing things to care for yourself and be in your own identity with out the hubs and kids like Pilates or yoga, meditation, walking, nails, hair. If you don’t necessarily have to work than fill your day with making you feel so grounded and wonderful to be you by yourself. It’ll make you be the best you that you can possibly be and that will spill off into your marriage and to your children. So many times we lose ourselves in being a wife and mommy, if you have the opportunity to just really care for you than do it! :heart:Don’t work if you don’t have to. :kissing_heart:

Substitute teacher is great and in demand. Some school systems don’t require as much certification as others - I worked for one in VA that only required 3 completed college credit hours. I could work the days I wanted, I could work as many schools in the district as I wanted. It was great…

Stay away from MLMs.

Literally any nursing home will hire you to pass ice make beds do things you don’t need to be certified to do. 90% are understaffed and every little helps.

Many home health care clients need workers right now. No certification needed for many. You can learn as you go and get certification as needed as the children grow. It is a rewarding job and hours are flexible if you have good clients.

Part time jobs would be a good start, look for something you can make your own hours with or be sure to let the person hiring you know of your timing needs. I just got a full time job with housekeeping where I’m at and I let my manager know there will be days I cannot attend work because of my daughters medical needs!

Maybe see if the school needs help.

Many big hospitals offer virtual visit, I work remotely from home registering patients before they see a provider. Any remote job is nice I’m always home and there when my son gets home from school. You might want to look into that. I used to pick my hours but now I’m full time, and don’t work weekends.
