YouTube can be a nice tool if used the right way. I tried to be mindful with my kids but after one too many iffy videos, I threw the whole app away. Theres YouTube kids or the pbs app. They sell tablets for kids with kid friendly content. Hes probably not old enough to be curious in the way a lot of people think, 4 years olds think butts and nakedness is funny 
Would you people stop mom shaming? You don’t know this person’s situation. Kids can be absolutely crazy and sometimes throwing the phone at them is how you momentarily keep your sanity.

YouTube kids…and yes, use the parental controls…you can also just delete the YouTube app period and just let him watch Netflix or prime video.
Communication is KEY … Talk to him see what’s on his mind(see what he has viewed on YouTube) until you figure this out I wouldn’t allow him an electronic device … ( get him a coloring book ) the thought comes before the action …WHY is curious about these things ? … Your responsibility as a parent is to help with his thinking process and make sure he’s safe mentally and physically create a separate YouTube channel that you approve of …AND communicate with him see why he enjoys these type of videos …Too much is going on in the world right now … Watch teach and talk to your son … 
My 7 year old granddaughter. Watching videos not for her age. AND kept getting caught. So we just uninstalled all youtube from her devices and the TV. Fixed that. She’ll be a teenager before she gets it back.

YouTube kids is all my kids had until just this past year when my oldest turned 10, soon to be 11. He needed regular youtube for some science videos for virtual school. Perhaps if you talked with your kid about WHY he is looking these things up, he can get the answers he is looking for.

Neither of those things are inappropriate. 4 year olds think butts and farts are funny. And maybe he has seen a pregnant woman recently and was curious. I’d say get him off youtube and stop thinking butts and pregnant women are inappropriate.
