My daughter was caught by a friends mom watching adult videos: Advice?

I wouldn’t trust her with a phone. Divorce or not she’s to young. Especially with that happening.

Parental locks are useless. There are countless ways to get around them. Maybe just be a parent and talk to her about it.

Even if she has restrictions on her sim, once she’s connected to WiFi it will run through that, and personally I think 7 is way too young for a phone, especially a smart phone, if it’s just for u or dad to call then a simple fone would be adequate! Or I don’t get why u can’t call each others phone and put the child on:woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging:

Linda timlett is right on the mark here. And studies have shown that people who are exposed to porn at a young age ( or too often) have a bigger chance of having difficulties developing a healthy self esteem in their own sexual relationship

I would also be questioning how the settings were bypassed because if no one else knows the password then that says she either guessed it or the app your using isn’t working correctly. Look up familylink that one is brilliant for parental control and you are able to see exactly what has been viewed and for how long etc

Take the phone away. And only allow her to use it to call Dad.

A. Change the code. B. Call the phone company i.e. Apple Support…Samsung whoever explain the situation and they will walk you through the settings on the phone to lock it down.
C. There is also an App called BARK and you set ratings, program has key words, great security monitoring for kids regarding content and predators. Requires a superscription but not expensive. You can also just cancel Media.
Just calling and texting…solves the access to internet quick.

Get her a prepaid flip phone , for starter . Only minutes for calls in case of an emergency. Maybe an ad Popped up and she followed the link  once you watch something, the ads keep popping up. But she’s too young, so maybe something more serious is happening… i hope not

First if all she dont need a phone at 7…kids been dealing with parents divorcing for hundreds of years before phones and they all lived.

I would check the history and see if it’s actually true.

Maybe your live in boyfriend
