My husband told me I was too old to be an LPN

You are NEVER to old to chance your dreams!

Nursing is invaluable. Just cause you start as a LPN does not mean you’ll just stop there. Do It!! I dont think he’ll regret when your both old n grey and you’ve got nurse abilities .

I’m an RN, finished my LPN when 27 or 28. I’m now 45 and teach. Plus I’m just finishing some more schooling. I have had students fresh out of high school and my oldest student so far was 62. NEVER TOO OLD TO EDUCATE Yourself, learn a new trade, or change fields. PLEASE GO FOR IT!! The current nursing field needs you badly!!

Look into the 2 year programs at a Jr. college. I became an RN at 30 from the last of the 3 year programs at Barnes Hosp in St. Louis. Very hard and demanding.I am now 83. Girl you have all the time in the world. Go for it.

You are not too old, you go for your goals and dont ever let anyone tell you differently

I’m 30 and only halfway through my A.A degree, after which I will have 2 years of rn school. Another year for my bachelors followed by 3 more years of school to be a nurse practitioner. I’ll be pushing 40 by the time I’m out of school.

No. You are NOT too old and your husband sounds like a jealous brat who needs a reality check. Don’t you dare let him dissuade you from going for this!

I was 32 when I started my LPN program…loved every minute of it go for it!!!

Do what is in your heart go for it

You do what makes you happy. I had a spouse who used to tell me I couldn’t achieve goals I wanted and I did achieve those goals. I knew a lady who was 50 before going to college for nursing. If she can be an RN at 50 you can be an LPN at 32-34

When I took my RPN training (Canadian equivalent of LPN) there was a lady in our class who was 49 years old and had raised 7 children and there was a 44 year old lady who had 5 kids and drove taxi part time so she could go to school. If that’s what you want you will find a way to make it happen. BTW I changed careers at 58

I’m an LPN.
When I was in schooling, some of my classmates were in their 50s.
You would have 30+ years to work in the field.
You could continue on to RN in 10 years and still have 20+ years in the field.
You’re very young.
Just go for it! Best decision I ever made!

I was 28 when I graduated with my PN degree and a week shy of 29 when I took my accreditation test. I received my official statues of LPN on my 29th birthday. Probably 80% of my graduating class was my age or older. That was 10.5 years ago. You are most definitely NOT too old!

I’m 30 (turning 31) and finally finishing my degree as well. You’re never too old to go after what you want, also, nurses come in all ages and they’re so needed.

No ma’am you are NOT to old…

Do it, your never to old

Go for your dream. If you don’t, you will find yourself 34 and regretting not pursuing your dream.

You are so young in life! Get your LPN license. It’s a lucrative career that will last a lifetime. Always follow your ambitions so you can look back with no regrets!

Go for it and good luck!

Never too old to fulfill your dream EVER. I completed my associates when I was 34. A friend of mine completed her LPN at 38 and loving her career. Go for it!! If anything your maturity (that comes with age) will have you working harder than ever for it.

If you really want this than don’t let any negativity get in your way! Good luck! I am a retired RN after 32+ years and I loved all of them!:purple_heart::sunglasses:

Go for it. You are never to old .
