Tell your husband he’s too old to be having sexy time anymore…he could break a hip…:joy: No Mama…You’re not too old!! Go for it!!!

No you are not to old. Go for it

NEVER too old to follow your dreams! Go for it!!!

No, you aren’t too old. When I went to school in the 1980s, there was a lady in my class in her late 40s. I think she was going to turn 50 soon. So no, you aren’t too old. And LPNs have pretty good earning power these days. Don’t let him talk you out of it. When I went, it was necessary. I was in a bad marriage, nearly on the verge of divorce. He was trying to get me not to go so I would be dependent on him for the kids’ and my support. He tried everything he could to make me fail, but I graduated at the top of my class and made the second highest score in the state on the state board exams for my license. Back then we made peanuts for money, but it was steady work wherever you went. I’m old and retired now. Disabled. But you can do it. The money is tons better and you get way more recognition for being an LPN. Go for it and the best of luck!

Most nurses I work with started school around their 30s. SO NO you are NOT too old to become a LPN

I got my bookkeeper and payroll designations at 50. Age is only a number! I say go for it. It is gruelling going back to school but well worth the end result.

Omg u are so young…im retired lpn 68, but I would suggest go Rn…more money,more respect…! Only 2yrs!

He is ridiculous. Complete your program and you’ll have 30 plus years to work in your chosen field. Follow your dream!

Who asked him, anyway? :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Don’t let anyone move you away from your dreams, becoming a nurse is still achievable and travel nurses make big money!!! Time away from him may be a blessing!!!

You’re young enough to go to school to be anything you want.

Go for it! I went to LPN school first and we had a lady who was 60 and she did great. The money is far more than what you would spend on school if that’s an issue for him! Good Luck.

I absolutely disagree with your husband. He should be encouraging, not discouraging. Three years after HS graduation I went into an LPN program, a one year program. A week before graduation my instructor called me into her office and encouraged to me to complete an application for the new Associate Degree I completed the program to become an RN. Twelve years and two kids later, I started taking courses towards my Bachelors degree and three years later I completed my Masters all while working the 11P-7A shift as an RN, taking care of the kids and doing everything else. Don’t let anyone, not even a husband, discourage you from following your dreams. Time to put yourself first. You can do anything you set your mind to do so GO FOR IT GIRL! P.S. Shame on your husband!

You can do this don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way proud of you :100:

No, you are not too old. I was an LPN before I had to go on disability. In my class were people in their 60s.

I was 32 when I went back to school for my rn. I was in classes with 40 and 50 year olds as well. If anything, you’re more determined and responsible so you will probably do better. I say go for it. Your husband doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Omg no never too old!!!

Go for it. Never too old to be a nurse.

Do it, not like he can actually stop you and if that’s not okay with him well honey you can get a whole new husband just throw that one out  but no really, don’t let him discourage you and not do it

My coworker didn’t get hers until she was 50… it’s never too late

You are not too old. That’s ridiculous. Go for it!!!

Uh, no.
DO IT.

Odds are he’s trying to talk you out of it because he’s comfortable with things the way they are. :100:

Go for it! My aunt did the same thing when she was in her mid 30’s and she had a long and fulfilling career with a local hospital. She didn’t retire until she was in her mid-60’s and even then went part time on a call in as needed basis. Go do you! You will be miserable if you let this opportunity go by.

No you’re not too old. It sounds like Ike he’s trying to undermine your confidence and personal goals. I know people who have become nurses in their 50’s.

Well you will be 34 with or with out the LPN so go for it. Don’t let anyone stop you.

Just think at 34 how many years you have to fulfill your dream job!

Go for it!! Don’t ever let a man hold you back…you’ll only be miserable and will start to resent him. We need more nurses more than ever! And it’s not “just” an LPN, every nursing staff from a PCA, CNA, and on up is important in all aspects of care. Go do you and make a difference in your life and others. We all need to keep growing and shouldn’t let anyone stop us :100:

Husband is incorrect. Go on… give it a shot! (No pun intended. )

Don’t listen to people who hold you back. Go for it

Do it! It’s your life

Never be discouraged to better yourself. You can do it!

I always had my husband’s support and although I became an RN at 21,I went back to school for my BSN at age 42 and finished my Master of Health Administration at age 46! You are never too old to go back to school.
You can go for LPN first, then the next time go back for your RN and keep going back til you say you are done!

I have a friend who went to nursing school in her late 40s and she loves it and does not regret it one bit. She is now a nurse that teaches other nurses. Go for it!

I didn’t complete my midwifery degree till I was 27. There were mature students in my year who were 40 when they qualified. You’ll be 34 in 2 years regardless of what you do so you may as well reach 34 with no regrets. Don’t let anyone hold you back. Maybe your husband feels threatened that you have ambition and drive. Good luck :crossed_fingers::two_hearts:

Do it. U won’t regret it!!

I’m sorry that he is not supporting and encouraging you in this endeavor :disappointed: You should follow your heart:pray::heart::dizzy: best wishes on your journey.
PS You aren’t too old!!

I graduated at 34 as an lpn. There were people older than me in my class. You are fine.
