Light onion pulp on an old but not on her skin should help draw the mucus out

Try fresh pineapple and pineapple juice. It has enzymes that help dry up mucus. It works really good. Use it on my son and grandkids all the time

I use the neil med nose pump easier to clean

Milk. I used to drink A LOT of dairy milk. I switched to almond milk and the amount of phlegm I now produce is less than half of what it used to be. I’ll bet if I quit smoking my phlegm would be basically non existent lol but babies don’t smoke so that doesn’t really apply here, I just figured it would give a better understanding of why I wasn’t able to get rid of the phlegm completely:)

Sit in the bathroom and close the door. Turn the hot water on and let it run to steam up the bathroom.

I used to sit with my son in the bathroom with the hot shower water running. The steam from the shower helped my son a lot.

Take the kid to the doctor dumb ass

Going to sound odd but do u have the ac going? If the air is cold to her it will be the cause of the runny nose/mucus draining.
Try to keep a thin but yet long sleeve sleeper on her indoors and extra time sitting upright the swing or Walker.
If she plays on the floor alot remember is cooler down there and cold floors if it’s not carpet leads to runny nose as well. Hope this helps

Place a folded towel on her chest & give her little Pat’s around her chest, lung area & back this may help to loosen her phlegm to cough it up.

Turn her on her tummy and gently pat her back. It will loosen the mucous. They do this for children with MS. And it works wonders.

Have her sleep slightly sitting up. Have her spit out whatever she coughs up. Have her suck on lemon drops candies it will coat her throat and bring up the mucus because of the suction.

Get her checked for a respitory virus or allergies. Cold air humidifier not warm will help dry it out.
Should get her to a dr. Though

Breastfeeding helps or bottles if you bottle feed but it helps dilute the mucus also saline drops in the nose. Nasal Aspirator to take the mucus out of her mouth.

How does she sleep? My son does this and he cannot sleep flat. He has to be elevated. So he sleeps in a swing or with a wedge.

Little Remedies Nasal Spray!’ Suck it out with nose bubble!! Do it as many times a day that you want or need too. #Mamaof5

Maybe change her formula or milk

Cup your hand and tap her back where lungs are 5 min each side it loosens up the phlegm in her lungs letting it come up when she coughs my daughter had really bad pneumonia when she was a baby and was having this exact same thing happen to her we had a nurse go to our home and do check ups this is one thing that helped also get baby some bubbles and just let her have fun trying to blow bubbles its an actual exercise for her lungs

Nose frida before feedings

Add extra water in her formula, prop her up to sleep, baby vicks on her chest, back & feet, ask the doctors about nasal drip (mucous that drains into the throat) & ask if you can run a certain essential oil & ask to be tested for allergies

If you decide to go for a nasal bulb sucker, we tried many and by far this was the best along side nasal drops. My son had too much snot which caused him a lot of issues, we also had to change his milk as that seemed to be the cause.
Can’t seem to send you picture but it was from Amazon x

She has had her at doctors

Take her to the doctors

You would have to suction it out with a long nose pump everytime she coughs up some flem as she does not know how to spit it out she will just swallow it back try giving her small taps on the back where her lungs are with your hand in a cup form and everytime she coughs suction once, let her breath a little while and repeat.

Steam from a warm/hot shower???

They sell a little battery powered nose sucker at almost all drug stores, it was a life savor when my son had RSV as an infant. Also if you put all your fingers together and cup your hand and gently tap on her back as she’s laying across your lap it will help loosen up the mucus…

I hope she gets some relier

In Thailand my home… we smash red onion and wrap in some cloth and place near where the baby sleep and when give babu a bath u also can mix in the water as well … just how we do in Thailand hope your kid get better

Plazo Ck Charlie if you read properly she states she’s already spoke with the doctors nurse who would have consulted the doctor themselves…

Hylands baby cold tablets. My 6 months has allergies and they help. She has stuffed up spells and I give them to her when ever they start. Just a week ago she was seeming to be getting sick. Cough, sneezing and mucus. Gave her the tablets for 2 days and it cleared right up. They have some for mucus and cold or just cold tablets. They are all natural.

Baby Neti pot? Also milk products thicken mucus so if you can avoid it as much as possible. Baby Vick’s tabs in the humidifier. Propping her head up a little helps too. Move her head part of crib one notch higher than bottom. Also you can steam up bathroom and sit in there with her for a bit and that will break it up too

Also, run your shower on super hot water, shut your doors, let it get nice and steamy in there and then take the baby in there and just stand with the baby for 10 to 15 minutes, just let the baby breathe the steam. Life Saver #Mamaof5

Sit with her in a hot shower

I watched a video of a mom using a Neti pot for this…but not sure if a dr would recommend for under 2 years old.

Also if baby is spitting up mucus and it looks cloudy or thick yellowy, with foamy looking bubbles it could possibly be Acid Reflux, just a possibility also.

Shut yourself in the bathroom and steam it up with hot water. Stay in there at lest 1/2 an hour. I used to go thru this with my grandson

Two words: bulb. syringe.
The hot shower suggestion is also great.

NoseFreda??? I think that’s what it’s called. Also lay her across your lap and pat her back over clothes/blankets. Make sure she’s hydrated. Mucus thins from the inside out. Breathing treatments will not do anything for mucus unless she’s experiencing bronchospasms (tightening airways/wheezing) that may be occluding her ability to clear the mucus. Watch her temp. It’s probably RSV. My kids got it every year when they were babies. Love, your friendly neighborhood respiratory therapist. Seek emergency care if she seems to be deteriorating or having trouble breathing at any point in time. Babies get sick super quick but they also rebound super quick. Good luck!!!

The Vicks and socks does work.

Cut out all dairy. Had the same problem with my son. Best wishes.

You can get things that suck the snot out and also I used the calpol plug in which I think is just basically camomile and lavender, that also helped at night time.

Steaming up the bathroom and sitting in it with them can also help open up their chests before bed, and maybe make it so the part of the cot that the head rests is elevated a bit. Not putting a pillow under there head but something small like another blanket under the mattress x

They have some snot sucking tool…it’s set up so you don’t get any in your mouth. Get her to sleep, use it then…it is not a bulb booger sucker…those things can be painful.

With your Clean Hands use your finger and try to remove as much as you can from her mouth and vicks on her chest at night

Suck it through her nose in the shower

Plenty of water and ride it out. She might be teething

I went through this with my daughter recently. She choked until she was sick, and it was just a load of mucous. Keeping her upright will help gravity do its thing. At night, put something under the top end of the mattress to raise it, but not too high that she can’t get comfy. Make sure she drinks lots of water to help flush it away.

Lie her on her chest on the sofa and put a cushion under her! Her lungs need to be higher than her head that way she’ll stop choking on it x

Baby Vicks on feet with socks on and put a folded towel under her cot mattress to elevate her a little so the snot isnt sat on her chest all night.

Get one of those nostril suckers and such them out its a little tip with a ball on the end you just squeeze the ball and it socks it out… Leave baby sleep in an upright position this helps relieves the mucus go to your doctor or public health nurse of your worried

Saline spray, steam out the bathroom and sit lo in there, and you can get these snot sucker things too.

I have this too now that teething has started was told to use nasal drops to flush the nose they showed me using a 1 ml syringe of water up each nostril. It really helps also
I use calpol plug in it’s great last all night

Chiropractor…. It’s amazing the things chiropractic can fix

Check with a pediatrician to make sure no health issue is going on.

Suction Her throat out. Keep her propped up. Use the infant Vick’s on her chest, back and bottom of her feet. Use a humidifier. She’s gotta cough the gunk out. And give her more clear liquids to loosen the phlegm.

is there mold in house

I had the same thing and had to get my adanoids (can’t spell) taken out at about 3yo.

Aside from the aspirator I would take my child into the bathroom and turn the shower on hot full blast so the room would fill with steam and we would just sit in the bathroom. It seemed to help loosen things up a bit.

Suck out snot. I did it with my daughter when it got to much. Suck it out using your mouth. Works like a bomb. No hating she was my daughter and I was ok doing it that way.

Pot of steaming water right under your legs if you had your knees up and have her face between your knees so her face is a distance away from the pot, so she can breath. Kinda sounds weird explaining it, i couldn’t find a picture!

This will sound gross but you could suck it out mouth over nose.

A mucus sucker? Sucks out mucus from nose, maybe Vick’s on her feet?

I used this on my granddaughter and it helped her so much.

My almost 3 months old is also having congested nose n maybe chest every night n coughs badly once in a while making it difficult to breath well .what do I do??

Lay across your lap and lightly with cupped hands drum on her back. It will break up congestion. If that doesn’t help take her to the doctor. Don’t mess around with breathing issues

Get her checked for allergies!! My son got like this around the same age. Constantly hacking out mucus, choking on it, and even began pooping mucus. It was nearly impossible to keep his nose clear. Pediatrician sent him to ENT specialist that said he had nothing wrong with his sinuses. No other symptoms so he wasnt sick. The back & forth with the Drs dragged on for 3 months.

I realized a pattern in that time. If I had to spend the entire day out running errands. He was better out of the house. Could even breath unobstructed by the end of the day. Got him allergy tested and it was an indoor allergy to dust and mold. I dusted EVERYTHING daily. Like books, electronics, furniture, etc. Didnt help. So we moved. Found out from a cop later that the house had mold in the walls because the prior owner used to rent it out and a pissed off tenant left all the faucets running with towels in the drains to flood the house when they were evicted. He was the cop to take the report and arrest the old tenants when the landlord discovered the damage days later. My son was perfectly fine in just a few days after moving. Never had the issue again.

Steam baths, as warm as baby can take it. I’d steam up the bathroom really good then run her water and bathe her so she can breath it in. At 6 months, I’d see if it was okay to give her orange juice, real juice, she needs the vit. C. And zinc. Also, pure pineapple juice is a natural cough suppressor.

Snot sucker and cutting the dairy. Hugs mama, I know it’s scary.

Put your shower all the way on hot and steam up your bathroom before bed. Once it’s filled with steam take her in there with you for 10/15mins. Help clear her out before bed! Also put pillows under in crib mattress to help prop her up.

Pretty common with rsv/croup its going around my daughter’s daycare too. My almost 5 yr old and 2.5 yr old had it. I felt the Vicks actually made it worse. I did saline spray and cleaned out their noses gave them less milk products and lots of water and did not do humidifier and they cleared up in a few days. I think sometimes all that stuff makes it worse. But id definitely decrease the dairy. My youngest is lactose intolerant and we realized my oldest had an adverse reaction to dairy so we give them both lactose free products and it helps alot!

Don’t you have a suction device??? Even a turkey baster to suck out the snot will do

They have this at Walmart for just $21 and I bought two since my 17 month old lost it. But I used it both with him because he would puke every night he laid down, and with my 7 month old because she would choke with it too. It works so amazing! When I lost it I immediately had to go get another as soon as the next cold hit. Life savor! That and steam baths for sure!

Can someone tell me what Nosefrida is please???

Boil water on the stove. It’ll keep the air moist. Use saline for nose and throat. The saline will loosen it up. Tylenol just because she may be uncomfortable. Keep her propped up also.
