So my son is 8 1/2 in 3rd grade and struggling big time. He is Adhd. I was hoping it would be something he grew out of, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. We got the diagnosis two years ago. He was on meds that were only school days. It seemed to help sometimes. Then by the time he got home, it was like his issues were way worse. He says his body just always feels like it needs to move. Yet he can sit and watch TV or video games for hours with no issues. Any advice to give?? I hate the idea of him being back on meds, but I understand that may be the only way. Was just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to help. Deeply grateful for any help. I hate having him feel like he’s a bad kid because he can’t sit still.
I’ve had same issues with my 10 year since that age but I do during school hours is I allow him to figit below camera scribble on side paper I allow extra breaks example 3 assignments per hour so on
My 5 year old uses the wobble chair at school! Really helps him
I did the same. Only school times he would get his meds. But I found he was more settled getting his meds 24/7. Also once he went on fluoxetine it was night and day difference. I mean there are still issues but much less.
And it’s unlikely you’ll get an ADHD kid to sit still for long periods.
My son was the same. On medication since he was 6. Now at 11 been off all meds for a year. I recommend a child sociologist, they can do a blood test to see what meds match his DNA that works.
Please change his diet, very little sugar
Was he on time release medicine?
My son had two desks at school when he was younger and was allowed to pace between the two if needed. One was a standing desk so he could stand and kinda bounce which is one of his tics. He’s also on two meds when in school because his body metabolizes them so fast. He takes a second low dose at lunch to help make it through to the end of school. He has severe adhd and prefers to have his “focus” meds so he feels like he can actually think through questions.
Please read the side effects before medicating
My oldest son was the same way. It took the right teacher in the 4th grade that tried to understand him and allowed him to get up walk in the back of the room and go to the bathroom more frequently. Made a big difference. Can you interview different teachers? This teacher was “older” and had more experience with all types of kids.
There are hand figits at educational stores. It helped my son a lot. His teacher had a piece of tape with half of it folded over on itself into a flap stuck under his desk for him to figit with it helped keep him focused and in his chair.
My son used small fidgets during class and that really helped him focus better. For a while he was on a low dose of guanfacine, which really helped the fidgeting, and didn’t turn him in to a zombie. Many fewer side effects than the normal ADHD meds, since it’s not a a stimulant.
Behavioral counseling helped as well, to give him ways to recognize what’s happening, and tools to help alleviate. My son has been off meds about 3 years now.
Therapy can help the both of you put many tools in your tool box so he can feel successful.
From someone whom is ADHD. Caffeine helped me. (:
Have him sit on a yoga ball during class so he will always be moving… also chewing on stir straws helps… also giving half of a mt. Dew before school and half at lunch… i know it sounds weird but the caffeine has the opposite effect on adhd kids… my sons dr suggested it and his teacher agreed to give him half a can half way through the day… it worked wonders for him.
My son was diagnosed about that same age but refused putting him on medication. Adjusted his diet and sugar intake and didn’t have anymore problems. He graduated in 2019 as a beta club member
We use a sensory pillow, when seating is required for long periods of time. It works for my daughter who is now 11 and has just stopped using it as she doesnt need it anymore
My first thought is a one legged stool or a yoga ball instead of a chair as a good place to start… then I’d also say therapy to help you both (as previously mentioned by others)
Give him a cup of coffee with just creamer. Seriously sounds crazy but i got 2 with adhd and if they are bouncing around more than usual i will give them coffee…settles them down. Has the opposite effect it does on a normal person
Child need vitamin B -12
A multivitamin
And magnesium for the restless muscles… really helps
Lavender essential oil for calmness
He’s a kinesthetic learner…
ur son is actually really smart
He just learned hands on
And needs ur support
Make sure he’s hydrated
Electrolytes are important
It’s seems too simple to be true
But it will work!
Try this
Give it a month
Javier some ideas to help Ayden sit through his online school
I’ve heard fidget toys can be super helpful! Just make sure they’re quiet and teachers know about them!
Coffee… My kiddo is same age same problem. A little coffee in the morning seems to help obviously it wears off but it does work for a while. Yes i know coffee im a bad mom but i swear it works
Diet and gut health will make a huge difference
I had no medicine for my adhd, my teacher had a box of and puzzles like horseshoes and rubix cube. I also had caffeine to help when I got to high school I crocheted and got into trouble because I could read a book and learn from the teachers at the same time, they thought I pretended to read and I’d listen to them and got angry when I repeated what they taught word for word.
I still have adhd, im 28, on and off meds from age 5 until about 3 months ago. My grandparents used to try keeping me on a zero artificial diet (no artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors etc) and they claimed it helped a lot. They hated giving me my meds. Although around age 40 my grandfather found that he too had ADHD, but was so against the diagnosis he didn’t realize it, meds helped him progress in his goals. Everyone is different, but in time a lot of people learn to find a comfortable place in life when they are ready to stop medicating. Situations play a huge part, and patience is absolutely necessary in the process
My son is 10. He was diagnosed 6 years ago. We do have him on meds for school but and home I let he outside as much as possible and if it get to bad I give him coffee or anything with caffeine. Cause for my boy it make him calm and able to relax. And at night so he can sleep we do 15 mg melatonin
My thought would be to get him in a sport to harness the energy and help with focus. He can hyper focus watching tv or video games. School work just isn’t as rewarding as tv and it’s harder to hyperfocus. Also meds likely wear off by time school is over.
My son was diagnosed with Adhd at 8 an we got him on meds for school and home he also has a mentor that has seen him 2 times a week an a councilor he sees every week an a physiologist he is 14 now an it really has helped him a lot maybe see about a mentor.
Sounds EXACTLY like my son! He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 8. He couldn’t focus, stay still, & sometimes couldn’t just ‘settle down,’ but could sit & play video games for HOURS! I didn’t want to put him on meds either but once it started effecting his grades I felt like I had no choice. I tried just about every non-stimulant ADHD medication with him. They would work for a while & then did no help at all. I finally let them put him on Vyvanse when he was in the 4th grade & it’s been a GODSEND! He’s in the 7th grade now. He went from almost failing to A/B Honor Roll. It doesn’t drug him out, he’s still his normal & awesome self. Same great personality. He can just focus so much better. He’s still a normal kid who loves to play around & have fun. He’s just not as “Wild” if that makes sense…because he too has never been a bad kid. All “smiley faces”, “green lights”, & has never been to the principles office. When he was 8 he also started seeing a counselor once a week and now (4 years later), it’s just once a month.
His weighted blanket helps a lot. Also, I learned he can stay calmer and doesn’t feel 'that way" if he keeps his room clean & my house stays on the cleaner side😉 He doesn’t say anything but I can tell he’s overwhelmed & restless if he let’s his room get too messy.
And when telling him what chores needs to be done or things he needs to do…like shower, homework, lay his clothes out, bring me his dirty clothes, etc…I can’t tell him everything at once like a list. I tell him one thing at a time & once he does that one thing we move to the next. So I’ll tell him just to do his homework. When he finishes that I’ll tell him to take a shower, and etc. If he feels like he has too much to do he gets all flustered, so we take it one thing at a time. Hope any of this helps!
Wobble seat works wonders for my daughter! She is even using it right now with distance learning. Good luck!
Oh I bought her wobble seat on Amazon for $20
When my son was little his school gave hi this it helped a lot he grew out of it by 5 th grade with no meds
As someone with ADHD and was diagnosed at the age of 3 and now is currently 21 I am HIGHLY offended at the words “something he would just grow out of” it is a MENTAL HEALTH DISORDER and you can’t just grow out of it! Your son just like myself will deal with ADHD for the REST of his natural born life! You really need to do your research, get some books and educate yourself on ADHD. I’m gonna be 22 next July and I still dont know all the answers to ADHD and I learn something new about my mental disorder everyday. Your son might grow out of the medications if that’s what route you wanna take over the years and might eventually stop them altogether but you physically can NOT out grow the mental state of it because its not just a broken bone that’ll one day heal, its forever something that he is gonna deal with. I was dr approved to stop my medications at 14 and start medical cannabis (CBD the medical not THC high effect) but everyone is different. For an 8 year old I’m not so sure but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
My son has ADHD we cut out all red dies from his diet added b12 vitamins and we do essential oils on his feet and hands massaged for 5 minutes each morning. If he is having a really bad day at home we do lavender bath bomb and a log soak in the tub. With ADHD it’s not just their minds that can’t shut down. The little bodies have trouble shutting down the muscles as well
Wobble seat, caffeine, fidget items, background noise cancelling headphones and patience
Try a daily omega 3 capsule for him.
As a mental health therapist, I can assure you medication is needed. ADHD brains are biologically different. Not bad, just different. He cannot regulate those chemicals on his own and he will not grow out of it. Medication is a huge factor in helping someone with ADHD lead a normal life. I have seen countless kids who suffered socially and academically because they could not regulate that themselves and were always singled out or punished. Once proper medication was implemented, it was almost an immediate change and the kids themselves felt better, more focused, and more in control of their thinking and behaviors. It will make a vast difference. It’s a tough decision as a parent, but it is truly the most helpful feedback I can give.
Quillivant XR— is a great medicine! Also a sleep med Clonidine, is great too. My son took both of these until the age 13/14 and did wonderful. Grades and attitude were great and he was able to function. I’ve also always given him a strict routine and structure. That’s super important as much as meds. He was diagnosed at 6/7 and was able to come off meds and is doing great now (age 14) freshmen in high school. He came off the meds once he started to go thru puberty!
Best wishes with this and good luck. Ps adhd is part of the mental health system so be sure to try meds and therapy if needed. No shame whatsoever!
ADD is a disorder. The chemicals his brain needs to maintain or modulate attention are not being produced in sufficient quantities or not being received and utilized well. Let him have the medicine. No one wants to feel out of control when they have felt relief from medicine. Without meds not only do they struggle for the obvious reasons but also socially and emotionally.
As a mom I understand not wanting to use the medicine but as a therapist who works with kids in school, if the medicine helps him, let him have it. I have a niece who is so smart but is trouble all the time because she can’t sit still and can’t control those sudden impulses to do whatever. Her dad has finally put her on meds and she is finally enjoying school and making friends. Building their self confidence comes from feeling secure inside their own skin. Work closely with the doctor and teachers. Adjust meds as the grow. It is ok to be a parent who chose medicine.
I know your pain. My son was on meds from 2nd grade to 8th- then he would ‘forget’ the meds & ended up never taking them again- still only concentrates on what he enjoys- also seems very OCD at times. Jigsaw puzzles and a guitar seemed to help him cope- he’s 33 now. Did however go through a very dark patch in life around 20-21 yrs old. Best of luck & prayers.
There’s a great page on Facebook called ADDitude. They have heaps of good articles. Add is a horrible disorder that makes people feel bad about themselves. Anything you can do to make your boy feel better is good
Learn all you can about ADHD. Educate yourself. Make sure you get a IEP for his schooling. My daughter took medication from 1st grade till her Junior year in high school. Her senior year no medication, she is in college she takes no meds. Her choice. Meds worked fine for my daughter. But every situation is different . Find out what your son likes and work it to your advantage. Be resourceful be understanding. Set time limits to TV and video games if possible. Also karate is a great sport for kids with ADHD. Hope this helps. This is just my opinion not doctor just a mom
My son had the same issues and was diagnosed with ADHD as well try reducing sugars and processed foods and food dyes more specifically red and blue as they seem to be more of a trigger. I hope this helps it seem to of helped my son when he was younger he is now 19 and is doing very well with it
If things don’t improve with Dr and medicine, seek another Dr care. Not all treatments offered by one, may not work for your child. Drs are just individuals, some open to furthering their education, while others stop after becoming Drs… No disrespect meant by that statement to any Dr… Just mean keeping going to as may drs as necessary until you find the one Dr who helps improve the health problem. Made a big difference in 4 people I know. One, in jr high became an all A student thanks to the right Dr’s help. Now in last year in highschool and have got accepted by two colleges.
By the way, with the right medicine, she was alert and very happy. With the medicine, it finally allowed her true self shine through the darkest, that had a hold, on her.
It may be hard but when I was conpleting my final internship for college last semester, I had a 6 hear old who mom and went no sugar. She I don’t want to say had to detox but she had headaches for 3 or 4 days and got very crabby without the sugar. We saw a major difference in attention and behavior. The parent bought mostly everyrhing off amazon or healthy food stores. It was hard to find all sugar free but there a huge difference once the student got adjusted to bot having try sugar.
My son took Strattera until he hit puberty. Then he could control it better. Also took a sleeping pill melatonin every night to sleep. This worked great for him. Video games keeps his mind busy . This is y he can sit and play for hours. He will figure it out soon. Good luck. Ridilin made him mean so this is y we tried Strattera. Its a time release drug so works all day.
Apart from medication concentrate on what hes is really good at and nurture it. My nephew had it and a friend of my kid has it. Both are great if they do there favourite thing that they are interested in. Take interest in it also.helps heaps.
Yoga ball. My daughter was given the option of a chair with elastic bands on the legs to kick and stretch or a yoga ball to sit on at her desk. She chose the ball for half the school year. To balance kept her fidgeting under control she has great core muscles now. Her grades went from c level to a level.
My son was the same when he got home after his meds wore off and we tried another kind and he does so much better. Sometimes u have to find the right match for him unfortunately.
But… I can also say he isn’t a bad kid for moving around. I get what u are saying. I am a teacher and I do have unmedicated ADHD kids and I allow them to move. I get them chairs that are are more wiggly for them to squirm in and there are so many things u can give them to sit and fidget with that allows them to move but also allows them to sit still more. And they have behavior specialists at school or in the medical field that he can go to and learn skills that help teach him how to build up his stamina for sitting longer periods of times.
The big question… sometimes all the wiggling can make them struggle with learning. Sometimes it doesn’t effect their learning at all.
If he is still on level and able to keep up with his education even with the wiggles. I’m not sure it’s as much of a concern. (If you know what I mean.) Find and request teachers that have more patience for adhd children too. These kids are amazing when looked at in other perspectives.
Have you tried giving him coffee or a mountain dew? Some kids(my 2 boys) it helped like they took medicine. A lot of physical activity helps a lot too.
Sports sports sports hun …get him into what he loves …we did 12 years for our son
Fish oil. Not multivitamin with all the other stuff in it just 100% fish oil every morning. Give it about 2 weeks to get in his system.
Somethings that helped my son- activity every hour or 45 minutes and things to quietly fidget with like a stress ball.
Get him involved in some kind of physical activity like sports, martial arts, etc that will allow him to exhaust some of his energy. If it’s more of an issue with focusing/following through, meds can be helpful.
Give him something he can play with in his hands. Stress ball etc.
Caffeine and limited sugar speaking from experience I’m 30 and have dealt with it all my life
I let my son do alot of physical activity daily.
Focus on a healthy diet high in protein as the growing brain needs it.
i have two grandsons who have it one is not as bad, they see a doc regularly, they both on med, one takes a whole pill &is find all day, but he has trouble sleeping, so his doc gave him meds to sleep! The other is wild he had anger issues, screams yells , fights fusses talks back hides his meds doc said he might out grow it but i dont think so, he does bad things he has too much energy he is very smart in school makes good grades, does get a long with his brothers and sisters fights! He want take his meds unless i stand over him and watch him if i dont he spits it out and hides it! All kids are different! No one in this world knows how hard it is to live with a child that has ADHD unless theyhave a child with it! God bless you! Good Luck, the best thing is love and prayer, Find u a good Doctor for ur son! The lady Doc these boys have is very good! They visit with her regular! Seems to be helping, since they are 9& 10! We didnt really know what was wrong with them both until they started school! Their teachers notice the way they behaved , told us they needed be tested and check by a doctor who specializes in ADHD! Good Luck!
Has he been tested for Celiac disease?
start having him sit still for 10 min before playing reward when he has done it
Following …similar situation as well
Following. I have a similar situation.
My son has adhd, I did it bt diet as pills gave him panic attacks. No red food color, no bleached flour, no sugar and before school a cup of coffee. Talk to your doctor they should know the proper diet. It worked. He is now 26. Also in school my son would need to squeeze a stress ball. Good luck. This is something they don’t grow out of. They have to learn to control their brains.
I’ve got a granddaughter she adhd plus bipolar she struggles shes hate the medicine she 13 so we let her stop the medication I think she needs back on lt her grades are not good I dont no what to do plus she has bad hearing loss so that doesn’t help
If your child was diabetic, would you withhold meds? You are doing your child a huge disservice by just hoping his issues go away.
Weighted blanket!!! They aren’t just for sleeping, just lay a corner on their lap when doing activity and it calms them down. Works for both my boys! Got a $50 one from Amazon
My ADHD kiddo is medicated. We found the correct dose based on HER needs and the dr recommendations. Be sure to document any change in behavior. One pill had my kid screaming bloody murder and she couldnt calm down for 3 hours at a time. (She came in fron playing and told us she was tired, I offered her a popsicle and a movie that triggered her panic attack. She kept screaming I CANT CALM DOWN. A cool NOT HOT NOT COLD shower will reset your kids emotions if that happens. Strip him down REMAIN CALM DONT SCREAM BACK just tell him to take deep breaths and help him in the cool shower make sure he gets wet all over. Make sure to have a warm fluffy towel and his jammies in the dryer cause he will be ready for a nap after this episode. It only happened to mine 2x and it was when the pill was wearing off.)
Our specialist recommended caffeine. I know it sounds counterproductive, but caffeine has the opposite effect on adhd kids. When she got home from school, we gave her a few chocolate covered espresso beans. The caffeine would reactivate her meds. For the younger kid that does not require meds, we rely on just caffine. The difference is amazing.
I wish I could say don’t feel guilty/upset/etc. about meds but I still feel those ways for choosing that for my son. So I say just know you’re not alone!
My son is only 4 and we just started meds. He has it twice a day right now but his doctor thinks he’ll need it 3 times a day. But he also has Oppositional Defiant Disorder too. I cried when I messaged his doctor about starting meds. But it’s turning out to be the best decision already and it’s only been a week.
We tried everything. CBD gummies, Occupational Therapy, and counseling. Most things were only momentary fixes and they didn’t even always work.
My son has to be on meds. Year round. Weekends, summertime. Year round. His neuro told me it’s not healthy to stop meds for the weekend or the summer. He is also a jittery mess by the time he’s home from school. He takes a high dose of Concerta in the morning, then a low dose Ritalin booster after school to get him a few more hours of halfway reasonable calmishness. This was my last resort. No amount of counseling, redirection, nothing helped. I absolutely hate that he has to be on so many meds. But without them his mind and body is running 100 mph. I understand you wanting to try other ways before you go back to meds, and i hope something works, but depending on severity you may have to couple those other methods with meds.
I have been diagnosed twice with adhd it will slowly be less like that the older he gets I’m 20 years old and it’s not as bad I still have my days I was on meds too but they made me a zombie literally I honestly wouldn’t do that I would just do something to remind him he’s a good kid
I was diagnosed at 28 with add. And I spent a huge chunk of my childhood being grounded bc of most symptoms of add. I honestly wish I had been diagnosed and medicated when I was a kid. It would have made my life so much easier and I wouldn’t have felt like such a failure growing up. Sometimes medicine helps. You’re not “medicating” him so he will “behave.” All you’re doing is putting a harness on him to focus all of that energy and potential to where he can he the best he can be
Ok from what I have learned with my ADHD, sons and my daughters you need to be on the meds everyday for them to help. But if that is not how you want to go then ask the school if they have a wiggle seat for him.
My son is 9 and has ADHD. He takes medicine that works on a day to day basis. He also has issues with sitting still and we homeschool him and we let him stand or lie down to do school. He can sit for ever playing a video game or iPad. He has to have 2 going sty the same time. If he plays with legos he always has cartoons, games or YouTube going. Our pediatrician says his brain needs the stimulation. His mind/brain needs it. Crazy, I know, but it works.
Wiggle seat and/or sensory tools. Honestly, if we are talking school wise the teacher needs to accommodate him. Wether that means, sensory tools (if he is a touchy/feely boy) a wiggle seat and/or allowing him to stand, go for walks around school or having him to energy breaks where he can do jumping jacks, run up and down stairs or some kind of excercise. Other than that I wouldn’t worry about it too much…adhd babies will be what they will be and that is OK! Let that boy wiggle the shit out of himself! As long as he doesn’t have any other behavior issues I wouldn’t put too much concern in it.
My son is 13 and has ADHD. He takes medicine daily as well as talks to a therapist once a week. For at home schooling he sits on an exercise ball cause it keeps him moving or plays with exercise bands. In school he carries a paper clip to play with.
My ADHD kid also has a 504 in school, we know loud noises trigger her so she is able to sit where its quiet and she doesnt sit in a group when she cant cope. Also we bought a fidget CUBE NOT SPINNER CUBE or even a click pen. She can click all she wants and play with the cube as long as she is paying attention to the teacher.
Let him move around while learning. If he has a diagnosis, you can get him an IEP. You can demand they allow him certain leeway, like a large exercise ball to sit, bounce, wiggle on while learning. 2 of my daughter’s teachers, 4th & 5th grade, would let her get up and do jumping jacks or desk top push ups for a few minutes when she would get antsy and even invited the class to join her. She retained information and tested better when allowed to move during lessons. Get him into a physical activity to slogh off some of his extra energy. Hope this is helpful.
My son has to move too. I got him floam. Its amazing, he can use his imagination full time, his brain is occupied. Plus he molds it while doing other things he has to focus on. It helps distract those urges to move.
I struggle with ADHD everyday still even as an adult. The hyper part of it has diminished overtime but I still struggle with impulse control, and attention deficit more than anything else. Have you considered using an extended release? I had the best results with mydayis it came out a few years ago and I had absolutely no side effects from it. I loved it but my new insurance doesn’t cover name brand, and there’s no generic version of that unfortunately.
I was diagnosed at 9 with add. I still have ir. Guess what helped me - NO MEDICATIONS!!! I found focus in things like sports, crafts, whatever my interests were. I still have it and nobody wants to help me with it. I can’t play sports anymore and crafting is out of the question with 4 kids; the youngest being nearly 3.
My sister has add/adhd and she says running helped her a lot, if I remember right she was in cross country
You know those exercise bands. Tie them under his desk at school. That way he move his legs as much as he needs without disturbing the other students.
Try a weighted blanket. You can get small ones that they can put across their lap. It helps them feel grounded apparently. You can get vests too…
Try something with caffeine. Believe it or not, my daughter has add and when she was younger, it was said to work
Give him a helf of glass of mtdew it we’ll colm him down it won’t hype him up it we’ll do the opposite on ADHD kids because my 10 year old is ADHD
A wiggle seat is like a little cushion thats filled with air. The kid sits on it can wiggle his butt back and forth in the seat and still stay at his desk.
Give him an large exercise ball to sit on when he’s doing work on the computer. Just being able to roll/move around. Also my son does multiple things when he’s on the computer learning (at the same time ) and it seems to get the job done.
I teach 3rd grade btw
Contact John G. Lake Ministries -they will pray him to “freedom”
Look into CBD oil. A lot of people have had success with it
Can he have a ball to kick around under the table? A fidget cube or spinner to keep his hands busy.
I use CBD with my son. Best thing ever
I have severe adhd. Wanna know what helped me. … meds. My dad closely watched me until he found the perfect dose. With alot of help from my teachers. He sat with the doctor going over everything . Heres what he swears by if i was hyper he would give me 6 ozs of coffee or soda caffeine is a downer. If i was having a bad dad he would let me play my video games. Video games/tv keeps the brain stimulated. No red colors in foods. Yes i didnt have ketchup till i turned 18. Now that im 28. I dont take meds anymore. But i drink energy drinks. Its my downer of choice. So watch what he does. Watch how he reacts. Watch how each dosage helps. And keep giving his doctor the information to help the doctor find the perfect dose. Its a struggle. My dad had 3 girls and a full time job he still helped me find peace. I know its hard. I have a 3yr diagnosed with severe adhd.
I have a 13 yr and a 12 yr old, both with autism, and one of them also has adhd. My best guess is that his mind isn’t being stimulated enough in school. The quick movements and constant changing screen of the TV and video games probably makes him feel like his body needs to move less.
Talk to the school to see what they can do to help after a year the school and I have a pretty good plan what helps my son is 25 mins in class work than he helps around the school moves chairs photo copies things he helps in the garden, than back to class, plus he meets with the guidance counselor to help learn coping strategies.I do give him meds for school to help and hes ok with them he can tell the difference in his behaviour. Sometimes reminds me he has to take his pills.
My son was diagnosed with adhd two years ago. He has an impulse control disorder and anxiety disorder that stems from that. It’s not something that can be grown out of. It’s ALOT of patience and understanding and learning. I’ve done so much research to try to better educate myself to be able to understand it for him and I learn something new all the time but I never stop because I’m his mommy and I want to do everything I can to help him. It helps to have routines, that’s the biggest thing his drs and school have said, but it’s also alot if relearning as a parent.
More rough and tumble play.
