Talk to a beautician. There are the washout colors that are not harmful. Or use Kool aid :woman_shrugging:t3:

Hair chalk… it’s semi permanent and washes out quickly… and doesn’t damage the hair cause well, it’s just chalk lol

I used kool-aid when my daughter wanted hers done that young

Are you kidding? Why is this even a thing?

Artic fox… it’s a safe hair color… I used it on my (at the time) 6 year old…. I don’t think 2 is to young…. It’s just hair… and if she wants to be like you why not

So normally I would think why not it’s just a fun color who cares and maybe just a streak or the ends …perhaps not the whole head but where the problem starts with me personally is health issues … so I’m just learning in my 40 years (I Know )
…how toxic hair dye really is and I’ll just let you do your own research … so with that being said you should Personally weigh out the good and bad and see what kind of feedback you get here and then see how you feel about it all …

Another reason is I wouldn’t want her to think especially that young that she has to change herself to be “pretty” or happy with herself .
Hope you get much more info then I can give
Good luck

It’s just hair. It will grow out and fade. Let them have fun with it because unless you homeschool they won’t be able to enjoy it when they get older.

I used this on my daughter when she wanted to dye her hair, it lasted about 2-3 washes. It’s semi permanent.

I use artic fox on my 4 year old

No she’s not to young-just use a direct dye if she’s blonde it will go pink if she has dark hair then unfortunately it won’t work

We used koolaid on my daughters hair that young for pink streaks because she wanted to be like lava girl

Free to be me :raised_hands: it’s hair. There are TONS of safe for kids ones. Kids are their own people too and having colored hair is fun!!

Arctic fox is amazing for this!

If she has light hair, use red Kool-aid on her hair.

We used a dye from Walmart that washed out in 8-10 washes :woman_shrugging:t3:

Stupidity at its finest

Hair wax, and koolaid

God help this world. Also on another note parents have let their kids dye with koolaid- don’t. It doesn’t come out and takes years and has to be grown and cut out.

Ny kids always have at that age. Not their whole head but maybe a streak or 2 or the tips of the hair. I don’t see the big deal in it :woman_shrugging:

My girls are 10 and 6… and I dye their hair all the time…it’s harmless… go for it!!

We used manic panic before

Hair chalk…all we used when my daughter was young and depending on the color it would last 2-6 washes. We did it when her hair was damp and it lasted longer

Why not use hair chalk it washes out

Why is every post put up twice ?

Nah, someone else should do that for them.

It’s just hair so why not :woman_shrugging:t2: it’ll wash out or fade out

Maybe just the tips, and not the scalp? I’ve never dyed my hair before, but, I’ve been told by friends that do dye their hair, that it can rough on the scalp.

Get a spray die. Much much safer than something more permanent, also then nobody can get all uppity

Use something that will not stain her hair and wash out. I wouldn’t do the whole head though.

At 2 I think that is a bit young. But You are the parent…

Nust do it!! They have dyes that are 100% safe. Let her feel safe in expressing herself. The earlier the better!

Personally I would not at 2 years old I feel that is too young, but not my child so other people’s opinions don’t matter

Dyed my daughters purple with manic panic at 2

Manic Panic makes a hair dye that is conditioner based and will wash out after like 15 washes. Won’t damage their hair.

My daughter wanted the same so I did it lol I just didn’t want to use anything harsh

Omfg. Wtf is wrong with u. Yes it is wrong. Holy cow some of these questions. I can’t

I did with my girl, but it was a 8 wash out

Do ittttt. I did my daughter’s hair at 3! I swear her confidence quadrupled with purple hair! She has had her hair colored 3 more times since then :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Too young IMO… But if she has lighter hair you could use kool aid? Or temporary spray, hair chalk, or clip ins.

If worried about dying it compromise and buy her a pink wig.

They make kinds safe for kids! They are only little once, let them be creative!!

There is shampoo in (and out) temporary hair dye. It seems harmless to me but then I’m 66 and I am getting my hair colored pink on Wednesday by my stylist. Obviously, I love color!

Wash in wash out or chalk/hairspray type. I do it for my 4 year old often and he loves it.

Get her a colured wig.

I think she’s too young

I wouldn’t dye her hair. I think personally it’s too young. And I worry about having to rinse the color out and color getting everywhere while it sits there. If it were me and me personally I would just get like the chalk/spray stuff. :upside_down_face:

I honestly would just use artic fox. It’s free from everything harmful and it’s safe for kiddos and if you don’t want anything permanent for her I’d suggest the temporary spray or hair chalk!

My daughter is 4 & I swore up & down I wouldn’t put any color in her hair…
Well her 7 year old brother wanted a green mowhawk so of course instant mom guilt. I just did the tips of her in green. She wanted pink but wanted to match her brother.

She is your child, so it’s your decision.
Start small. Maybe just the tips so you aren’t touching her roots. plus atleast at the ends it can trimmed off later.

I’d do it lol just use one that isn’t intensely chemical based

Yep like artic fox or temp is OK. Just wash out during washes.

Kool aid or hair chalk

So there’s this hair spray stuff at Walmart we love using! It instantly washes out and she still gets to be fun and creative!

Also her dad did her hair so props to him lol

Definitely too young :sweat_smile: try red food colouring

Arctic fox or kool aid! :two_hearts: neither are harmful and no strong chemicals!

I’m yes way to young to ruin her hair.

Hair chalk, Kool aid, or arctic fox

If her hair is light enough I don’t see the problem. I wouldn’t bleach her hair though.

The regular color like manic panic or artuc fox dosent damage.

Too young for anything permanent. Those chemicals are way to strong . But you can get the chalk stuff to put in or . The temp spray just do it outside and maybe the tips only . I have girls lol  this is what there only aloud

The colour sprays are good for kids! It’s stuff people use to put in there hair for crazy hair day at school.

To dye her hair yes. I would do hair chalk probably.

Use kool-aid totally safe

This has to be a joke right?

You could always YouTube how to dye her hair with Kool Aid. It’s safe and it lasts for quite a while. My daughter was 7 when we did hers and it worked pretty well. The lighter the natural hair color, the darker the Kool Aid will dye it. My daughter is blonde and we used the grape flavor packet. It lasted for about 2 months, with regular washings.

Do a streak, but not her whole head.

When my daughters wanted their hair dyed I just used hair chalk because if they wanted a different color the next day they could and it would wash out easily.

She just spoke like an adult…dye hair mom?

Artic Fox is what I used on my daughter’s and it turned out beautiful!!

I wouldn’t go as far as using hair dye. Just get some hair chalk.

Use color calk I use it on my younger kids

3 words. Colored hair wax.

I got this for my girls ( 3 and 4 ) and it washed out within 3-4 weeks.

Everyone saying “too young” as if your perfect children aren’t gonna grow to be teens that do shit they’re not supposed to at a too young age.

It’s literally just hair and color. If she finds a good dye that isn’t harsh and she doesn’t bleach, what the issue?

Just spray it an it washes out 2 is to yong to dye her hai…r …

Use hair chalk or the wash out colored hair gel. Can also do the Halloween color hair spray. It all washes out. Don’t do permanent and it will be ok. Her hair us still baby hair don’t destroy it with permanent stuff

No absolutely not on a 2 year old. Do hair chalk or the hair spray stuff. Walmart even carries this stuff called hair makeup that washes out but don’t use actual hair dye

I use semi permanent dye called manic panic. My kiddo enjoyed it for a bit and then got bored with it. It washes out within a week or 2 at most.

Punky colors is a great semi-perm brand :blush: I just wouldn’t bleach until a little older!

They have hair color clip ins or something of that nature that last like 4 weeks

I think people need to realise that putting a little bit of temporary hair dye in kids hair and assaulting them are two different things. Doing something temporary that brings out your kids confidence shouldn’t label you as a bad mother. And this is coming from a mum who hasn’t dyed her childrens hair.

I would never dye a 2 years hair. But like above people stated use hair chalk. Or kool-aid. There was a time few years back kids were using kool-aid to dye hair. U just mix kool-aid w water an soak hair in it. An it actually works an washes out after few washes. An I’m sure it’s not harmful as dye would be on a baby.

Boundaries. Sometimes we need to set boundaries with our children. We don’t have to let them do/have everything they ask for. This? Hard NO!

Manic panic is vegan and very safe if you want to do her hair! I think children should be free to express themselves and there are so many options out there now that allow them to do that

try chalking her hair

Girl. Obviously you’re gonna get mom shamed in this group for this type of thing, because I already am for my previous comment. Join Toddler Hair Styles :sparkling_heart: group, I’m in it and they all are very supportive of this decision and will help with what brand and kind of dye you should use so you don’t damage her hair. Best of luck to you and your little girl with self expression!:smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart:

There are PLENTY Chile safe, non toxic wash out dyes. It’s fine, go hard!!

You can use koolaid to dye her hair then of she’s older you can do the real thing

I mix Kool aid with conditioner

If your worried, food colouring, let the gson have messy play with something that also had food colouring in it, dyed his entire body and hair couldn’t get it off for weeks, so do it with food colouring, as for people getting offended save the offence for something worth it lawd knows we have a world of things that are offensive, besides that kids will have years of can’t have this hair colour, those clothes, that hair cut, get them while they in a position to do it before society says they have to be mindless robots to get anywhere in life…

Their are healthy options for hair dye for kids. Can even do the spray in hair dye where washed out when they shower, the coolaid hair dye trick. Plenty of healthy options to keep kids hair healthy!

Do it. Have fun. I wouldn’t recommend bleaching her hair though.
