Should a 2 year old dye their hair?

How the f**k does a 2 year old tell you she wants pink hair

I’am making over $140 an hour working online with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over $ 19348 a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless

I’d personally use Hair chalk or clip in stands that are a color she says she wants

Does your child ever hear the word no?. She’s 2 for god sake don’t be so silly

Id use hair chalk. Or if you want to use dye, get manic panic or arctic fox they are both safe for kids and wash out in a so many washes.

They have hair chalk. Or even Arctic Fox. That one is conditioner based and there is no developer in the formula it ruin the integrity of her hair.

I don’t think I’d dye my 2 Yr olds hair but that’s just me

Hair chalk or clip ins.

My kid has been asking me to dye his hair since he was 3. I have not also because of dad, but I know lots of parents do. There is temporary hair dyes safe for children. I think it’s adorable that she wants to match her momma.

I’ve done my daughters hair pink. I just used the wash out stuff. I think she was around 3 the first time I did it. She has light hair though. I wouldn’t do anything with bleach that young. We’ve done it a few times now and did some blue because she wanted mermaid hair. She’s 5 now and hasn’t asked about doing her hair in a while. I also had bright red hair and blue hair around the times we did hers. She just wanted to be like momma. :purple_heart: I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Maybe clip in pink for around the house but I don’t think it’s appropriate for a 2 year old to have colored hair. I won’t even let my 2 year old have painted nails… let them be kids.

I’ve done it with koolaid

I wouldn’t ever do anything to my 2 year Olds hair. But that’s me. You do you mama. They have kool-aid, washable dye and hair chalk or spray. I personally do not and will not ever use hair chalk again in my kids hair.

If you want to do it, a WELL VENTILATED AREA and then just the tips, do not put it near the scalp whatsoever

Koolaid, chalk paint, or clip ins. I def wouldn’t use real dye yet.

If this is true use the kind that can wash out easily they have something like that now

Your joking right ??? Like no way this is serious

Use food dye. It works really well and washes out pretty easily.

The chemicals would damage her skin and hair… way to young… spray on colours

Artic fox is safe, but there are also hair chalks and sprays that wash out at the end of the day. You could also try the color depositing shampoos or Kool aid.

Hair chalk and colored spray is temporary or you can go old school and use kool aid which would last a couple of months. All completely child safe.

It’s hair. They have chalk for hair, spray for hair, semi for hair all kinds of stuff. You don’t have to use anything that lasts for months.

Arctic fox is what I use in my daughters hair. Nothing harmful in it. Washes out after so many washes.

As long as you don’t Bleach her hair from the root I don’t see an issue. There are so many different clip in extensions, hair chalk, colored shampoo, colored hair spray. I would try them first before fully dying her hair to make sure she actually likes it and it’s not a 2 day phase.

We’ve been doing my daughter’s hair since she was about two. Mine is always one color or another and she asked one day so we started with a small strip, then when she loved it and asked for more we did the tips. She’s almost 5 but every few months she picks a new color to look like a unicorn or mermaid or cotton candy and she decides where it goes. It washes out within a few weeks and sometimes when I say I’m doing mine would she like hers she says no thank you not today. I give my kids control over what they wear, and their hair as soon as they start asking to make changes and we’ve had no issues with it

I wouldn’t. And they shouldn’t be doing their own hair lol

But I’m not their parent so :woman_shrugging:t5:

Use a semi permanent. It doesn’t harm the hair. My daughter been doing hers since that age.

Certain semi permanent dyes are safer for hair than chalk or hairspray which dries ypur hair out. Most of them are literally pigment, essential oils and conditioner. Thats it. Don’t use splat, us something like puky colors or arctic fox. I wash my daughter daily, so when I did hers at three, it was gone in a couple weeks.

Buy the hair dye that washes out or some dyed extensions.

Way too young for her actual hair dye you’ll wreck her hair

ITS JUST HAIR! You should have fun with it and you should show her how to have fun with it :sunglasses: it’s not like you’re wrecking her organs or body! It’s freaking HAIR :joy: Parents are way too controlling  Do what makes you and your little one happy!

Umm no! Gosh people are losing their damn minds at an alarming rate

As a hairstylist it’s hair it grows back. Who cares? It’s not harmful unless she tries to eat it. I colored my kids hair since they could ask for it. I let my kids have fun expressing them selves because one day they will get a job and be told not an option. Ur not wrong have fun be twinsies

I wouldn’t use anything permanent at that age obviously, but I’d let my kids experiment with their hair for sure! It’s just hair, and it’s their hair. They have control over so little :woman_shrugging:

Just buy a spray that will wash out. She may want blue next week. Don’t start ruining her hair now

Just do something temporary that washes right out in the bath. They also have these hair chalks you could use, too.

Colored hair chalk

Her young skin could easily react to the chemicals in hair dye. You could use chalk,it washes out.

I’d use temporary dye or chalk.

It’s not permanent, don’t really see any harm in it. Might want a professional to do it, though.

I done it for my 2 yr old. if they r semis it’s fine… I only done the ends at first by 3/4 she had full head dyed

Use coolaid. Washes out in a few washes. Nothing permanent or toxic or get her a cheap silly wig to play dress up better yet

Your the parent and it’s your rules

They make those color depositing shampoos thay add tints of color. Or maybe the Halloween hair spray that washes out. I would personally be worried about damaging her hair but at the end of the day its your daughter and its only hair :woman_shrugging: it can be cut and grow back.

no that is not for them but someone else, that is not what a 2 year old would ask for and they don’t care about their hair

I personally wouldn’t do it. When my girls were younger I let them use chalk to put streaks though. But they’ve come out with so many things since then. I recently found temporary dyes at Sally’s that have no harsh chemicals while allowing my hair to heal after messing it up. They are great and feel wonderful. If I were to use anything on a little one it would be that.

No. Way to young. It can do permanent damage to their hair.

In my opinion, teaching your child to alter her appearance is not a good thing to do… I’m guessing mom has tattoos as well… so what’s next if she gets pink hair??? Let her grow up and then make a decision that she is capable of… Children, especially little ones are not mature enough to know what is good for them… That job is supposed to be for their parents, however in todays world, parents are promoting every whim and wish of little children and look what is happening… It scares me…
