As early as possible.

Up to you really, I waited until my daughter asked which happened to be two. And by 5 she asked for a second hole. “No more after that until she’s way older “

I waited till they asked or wanted them done.

I got my daughters pierced when she was 5 months old

When they are old enough to give consent to pierce their body.

Whatever you decide go to an actual tattoo shop and not Clair’s or the kiosk in the mall. Don’t want blunt force trauma to the ear

I waited till she wanted them done. She got them done for her 8th birthday.

Piercing earlier than that is selfish and only for your own benefit

I was 2 months old when I got mine pierced in 1980…I have an identical twin sister. I was pierced with blue and my sister with green. Until then, we were still wearing our “baby A” “baby B” hospital bracelets so our parents could tell us apart. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ No regrets, I’ve since pierced them 4 more times.

I was an infant when mine were first pierced. Had my second hole by 12, I now have six in each ear. If I had a daughter she’d get her first set as an infant, after that it’s up to her.

At the very least, take them to a professional piercer, but I’m on the wait til they’re old enough to ask side.

3 months. It’s no worse than a shot & easy to take care of at that age.

My older daughter got hers done at 3 months. My youngest just got hers done at 19 months and I wish I would’ve done it younger lol

My kids got theirs when they asked so like age 5… I have heard too many horror stories to do it as a baby… and it’s their body to decide if they want it or not.

Both my girls were 6 months

My mum got mine peirced at 6 weeks old lol, but I’m going to it when my girl asks me to

There is no correct age, but typically the parents choice unless they leave it up to the child to decide when they are old enough.
My mom had mine and my sisters done by 2 or 3 months.

I got my oldest ears pierced at 3 months old. My other 3 were older because their father felt they should be old enough to ask and to take care of them. Mine were pierced when I was 6 weeks old. It’s really more about personal preference. There are some pediatricians who will pierce ears in their office.

I’m very… their body their choice. When my daughter kept asking for a few months straight I finally caved. She was seven.
I’m glad I waited because she had a massive allergic reaction to the HYPOALLERGENIC metal.

I have 4 daughters and they all got them between the ages of 5 and 8

My daughter got hers done at 4.5 because SHE wanted them & understood the responsibility & care.

I don’t believe in body modification without consent. My daughter is 8 and just got her ears pierced because she asked for it.

7 when she could care for them

I waited till my daughter asked for it to be done. Once the first one was done, she refused to get the other one done (6 yrs old). The next day she asked if she could get the other done. I did but… In my opinion no.

Our rule is at 12 if you choose to have your ears pierced then you can. My 13 year old does not want them and is so happy we didn’t make that choice for her. They are her ears to modify if and when she wishes.

I think piercing babies ears is so wrong, wait till there old enough to ask, I got my ears done as teenager n thought was sore lol

Parents waited until I asked. Will definitely do the same.

My daughters about to be 2 in may. My fiancée and mother in law keep telling me to get them done for her, but I don’t want to put her through that until she’s older and she tells me she wants it done if she does. Plus she’s rough and I don’t wanna risk her ripping them out.

Our 3 year old has been asking us to get her ears pierced. I feel like it’s better as they get older and say if they want to get them done or not.

Our peds dr said to wait until their at least 6 months old. That way they have had a bunch of vaccines first.

When they’re old enough to say if they want it done. Any educated person also knows that the safest route is to take the child to a tattoo parlor or a piercing shop to have it done with a sterile needle versus a department store. Piercing guns are not sterile and are damaging to the ear tissue.

Go to a real peircing shop! Not claires or something

My older two were four. They both asked. Piercing them as a baby is wrong in my opinion. My youngest is four and hasn’t asked yet.

I’m gonna wait for my little one to ask. When my parents had mine done I was terrified and they had to hold me down to get them done.

My wil have the OPTION to get it done when she turns 5. This is when the local piercing shop will do it.

I was 5. My daughter is four right now, she’ll have it done when she asks me to have it done. It’s not a choice I feel comfortable making for her.

Don’t have little girls but my little boy was 4! And let me tell you he was cheesing from ear to ear thinking he was hot stuff

5 years old. Then she could start to understand the process of caring for them.

When they’re old enough to consent to holes being put in their body. How about we hold you down and put holes in parts of your body even though you don’t consent to it?

When theyre old enough to ask for it and take care of it. Piercings require consent and its not your body.

Not a suggestion/recommendation but 37 years ago my mom took
my newborn sister to get her ears pierced. The baby barely flinched or made so much as a coo…and all the old ladies stood around watching while shaking their heads in disgust at my mom for doing something seemingly so cruel:rofl::joy:

When they are old enough to want it.

When she’s old enough to give informed consent. And with a piercing needle at a tattoo parlor only. No piercing guns and no Claire’s.
I didn’t get my ears pierced till I was 13, It was spur of the moment and I didn’t do any research ahead of time and let them use a gun and it messed my piercing up. I want my daughter to be able to do research and think about it ahead of time before she gets it. So at least 10.

my daughter is 4, still no ears pierced. ima wait til she asks for it herself. probably 5 or 6. and im having another girl, and ill wait for her too. my sons 7 and if he ever asks for his ears pierced then i willl. i got my ears pierced when i was 5 i think, i asked my mama for them tho

My rule is whenever they can ask for them theirselves and then I show them a video of it so they understand how a piercing happens. My daughter is just now asking for them and will get them for her 7th birthday next month

This is a personal decision. For some it’s a cultural norm to pierce a baby girl’s ears as an infant. For others that is unthinkable. My daughter got hers done at around age 4 when she asked. She wore earrings for a couple of years and then decided she didn’t want to anymore. Now she’s almost 15 and I’m sure the holes have closed up.

My first was 6 months old and my second was 2 months old. She laughed and was completely fine. They also used a numbing cream.

My mom pierced mine when I was around 2 months and I plan on doing the same with my daughter

I had my older daughter’s ears pierced when she was 3 months and too young to grab at them with dirty hands and get them infected. She didn’t even seem to notice when the actual piercing took place and I took care of them and they healed super quickly and with zero complications.

When they’re old enough to get it done by a professional piercer. Not a gun that damages nerves and tissue & is never able to be properly cleaned, increasing the risk of infection by a ton and even risk potential for blood Bourne diseases.

You should not get your babies ears pierced because babies can’t give consent to a cosmetic procedure that is unnecessary.
My oldest child was five when they asked if they could get their ears pierced and we went. I have a six year old and almost five year old as well, they’ve talked about it but haven’t asked yet. When they do I’ll take them

Whenever they want it themselves. I’m allergic to metals and can’t even wear them, so having my ears forcefully pierced as a small child was useless and something I’ll never forget.

I’m waiting until she is old enough to ask me

I was 22 when I had it done!

Let them make their own decision when they are grown, unnecessary , should be their choice not yours.

For me: when they want to have them pierced so not as babies since a baby can not make that choice

Parents discretion. I wait until they’re able to tell me they want it done. My mom did mine when I was a year. I know parents who have done after the 2 month shots.

I got my eldest daughters done at about 6 months…but when she was around 7-8 she decided she didn’t want her ears pierced and took them out…so really that told me I should have let her make up her own mind (she’s almost 16 now tho and has lots of different ear piercings) I have a 3 year old and her ears haven’t been peirced…I will wait and let her decide
