What are your thoughts on your kids returning to school in the fall?

Would you send your child into a field where you knew landmines were? No!

My kid won’t be going in the school we will be homeschooling

No we have twin boys and one of them just the other day picked gum off the ground and chewed it what’s that say for social distancing

Children need to be educated and get structure. Just use your head, take temp, wash your hands

I don’t care either way… Ever since March my kids have been running around with all their friends and nobody wears masks…

What are the parents going to do where both parents work?

My kids are doing virtual classes & my step kids are going back.

They closed the school in March and it’s worse now here than it was in March so…:thinking::thinking::thinking:why would we open them up if it’s way worse now than it was then ??

When Trump and other electees put their kids in public schools! Or when he’ll feezes over

honestly the deciding factor I would say is do you have anybody vunerable at your home. Its very possible your kid brings it home. tho this virus isent nearly as deadly as what you hear on the news

We’re not bring given a choice yet. Remote learning for at least the month then they reevaluate. My daughter’s school might be providing her a laptop which is the only way she’ll actually be able to do school since we can’t afford a new one ourselves.

My kids will not be returning if they have to wear a face mask

The CDC lies! Children will be fine. They will get just as sick as they normally do every year from other children and it will not be COVID-19…it’ll just be a cold.

We do homeschooling and it keeps up with regular schooling. And it’s easier on my student as she’s not distracted by what’s going on around her. It’s been a blessing.

Mine are grown but 3 of my grandkids are being homeschooled

I want my kids in school and I want to teach in school

Doing total Homeschool. I’m not risking my childs life.

Sending back to school and she can’t wait!

Thats is so wrong send them to school!

Get back to school and normalcy

Homeschooling and not the public school curriculum.

I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t go back UNLESS you are a family that never leaves the house. The reason I say that is yes they may catch the virus at school but if the parents are going to work and coming home even with taking all the precautions that are advised you can still catch it and bring it home to them. Kids need to socialize with other kids. Daycare are open so why not the school, but with that being said they need to give parents options to do either because it really comes down to what the parents want .

Send our kid’s back to school

I would like them to go back to school

My child is going back

I’m for starting on time …

A couple years ago there was a girl got killed on a fourwheeler her parents got into trouble for child endangerment. There u go.

My two kids will be attending, it is not a matter of if I agree schools should open itnis I don’t have a choice. I am a nurse and my husband is an essential employee and we have been working the entire time. I don’t have time to work my job and make sure a 5 and 8 year old do their schoolwork, remote learning was awful for us and that was with only one child participating. They have also been going to daycare since it reopened. I have faith that the school will do the best they can to keep everyone safe.

#flatttenthefear #EnoughIsEnough LET THE KIDS BE KIDS ! NO RESTRICTIONS !

That could really happen

Betsy DeVos…
We have a few questions for you…
• If a teacher tests positive for COVID-19 are they required to quarantine for 2-3 weeks? Is their sick leave covered, paid?
• If that teacher has 5 classes a day with 30 students each, do all 150 of those students need to then stay home and quarantine for 14 days?
• Do all 150 of those students now have to get tested? Who pays for those tests? Are they happening at school? How are the parents being notified? Does everyone in each of those kids’ families need to get tested? Who pays for that?
• What if someone who lives in the same house as a teacher tests positive? Does that teacher now need to take 14 days off of work to quarantine? Is that time off covered? Paid?
• Where is the district going to find a substitute teacher who will work in a classroom full of exposed, possibly infected students for substitute pay?
• Substitutes teach in multiple schools. What if they are diagnosed with COVID-19? Do all the kids in each school now have to quarantine and get tested? Who is going to pay for that?
• What if a student in your kid’s class tests positive? What if your kid tests positive? Does every other student and teacher they have been around quarantine? Do we all get notified who is infected and when? Or because of HIPAA regulations are parents and teachers just going to get mysterious “may have been in contact” emails all year long?
• What is this stress going to do to our teachers? How does it affect their health and well-being? How does it affect their ability to teach? How does it affect the quality of education they are able to provide? What is it going to do to our kids? What are the long-term effects of consistently being stressed out?
• How will it affect students and faculty when the first teacher in their school dies from this? The first parent of a student who brought it home? The first kid?
• How many more people are going to die, that otherwise would not have if we had stayed home longer?
30% of the teachers in the US are over 50. About 16% of the total deaths in the US are people between the ages of 45-65.
We are choosing to put our teachers in danger.
We’re not paying them more.
We aren’t spending anywhere near the right amount to protect them. And in turn, we are putting ourselves and our kids in danger.

I am a former teacher and I have a daughter that teaches 3rd grade. Kids need to be going back to school but with all of preparations that must go on in the schools and social distancing, I think there should be half day schooling. Half the class should go in the morning and half in the afternoon.
