I would just see a doctor there are tons of things that can cause this

Talk to you ob/gyn. Sounds like something may not have healed properly.

Have you seen doctor?

I had the same trouble ever since I had my tubes tied after twins 9 years ago.
Tried Tylenol, pms medicine ect…
These are the Only thing that seems to help.
Walgreens has them.

  • I’m not a Doctor *
Just saying what has helped me .

See the doctor. You may have fibroids or endometriosis. Both need a diagnosis from a real doctor, not us internet doctors.

You need to see a gyn. This is a medical issue that could be serious and I sure wouldn’t take any chances. Good luck.

Go to the Doctors, please!! I developed a blood clot with the same symptoms. Thankfully, my husband was a doctor & convinced my OB to check me out. It saved my life. Be safe.

I had heavy bleeding for 7 days and also “labor pains” 12 days a year, cramping, throwing up… (I found out when I had my child.) The pain was equal… :flushed:
I was on the pill for a year just to avoid the pains and bleeding. After that year, it got better. :relieved:

Mine have been that way my whole life, I’ve been checked and am fine, go to your gynecologist and if all check out then just sucky periods

After each one of my children my cycle changed one of my daughters made a lighter and then one of them made me sure monthly. I had the same thing you had the worst cramping in my life I use hot baths and cannabis and it always helped me

Do you use tampons? Or do you use a cup like Diva cup?

How old are you?? Welcome to midlife as woman

Possibly a fibroid or endometriosis

Until your doc can figure it out, try a heat wrap (like thermacare) for your cramps. For some reason, they feel better than an electric heating pad. You can wear them under your clothes, so you can leave the house. I get the largest ones I can find, and look for the less expensive store brands. ThermaCare HeatWraps improve healing with therapeutic heat

Go see you gynecologist

I know after I had my two boys my periods were awful. I don’t know how they’re going to be after I have my daughter in November but I’m hoping that they won’t be that bad.

Hysterectomy only thing helped me after my babies!

Have ur doctor check for fibroids, they cause heavy bleeding and blood clots.

I take excedrin extra strength

My periods got worse with each kid. When I started having periods so bad I would go through an overnight pad in 45 minutes and was afraid to leave the house, I went to the Dr. Turns out I had a uterine polyp. Dr did a D&C and popped in a mirena and my periods have been nice and light for 9 years.

Me personally i use cannabis!! Its heaven sent from above :point_up:t4:  i kno not everyone the same but dammmm it has help me in alot of way !! I havent tryd nothing else because that works very well for me on my darkest days !!

I would talk to your doctor they will deffo help! X

Definitely go to the doctor as soon as you can. I’m not a mom yet and I’ve got this problem. I don’t get my period often anymore but when I do, it’s a murder crime scene from hell

Talk to your doc. Mine has sent a script for cramp management. My last one made me feel like I was going to black out from the pain. It was worse than labor.

Go see your doctor asap!!! Until then lay flat on your back and put a heating pad on your belly just below your belly button to help ease the pain.

I curl up in a ball and put a pillow on my belly or I will sit on the toilet I know it sounds crazy but sitting on the toilet helps a lot it takes away the pressure make sure u don’t sit on the lid u have to sit on it like if ur using the toilet

Ibuprofen 600 MG take 2 with food get from a doctor

My sister has really heavy periods with a lot of cramping as well. She eats a ton of red meat like steaks and uses heating pads throughout the day and that seems to do her some justice as well as Midol

Go to ur OBGYN there may be a problem

Did you get the :syringe: or around anyone who has?

When I switched from coffee to black tea, my cramps DISSAPPEARED. The only way I know it’s coming now is my tatas will be sore sometimes, or my belly starts to feel bloated. That’s IT. This was after decades of coffee drinking. Not sure if it applies to you, but if you’re a coffee drinker, just give it a shot!

To much information tell the doctor

Each year as I entered my late 30s my periods changed into my 40s. See your doctor. Also, a good diet and pro biotics may help.

Can you get Novasure? It’s a surgical procedure but you need to have your family complete for them to do it (in UK). I suffered for 8 years after my son was born and after trying all meds and spending once a month collapsing with pain the doctor offered me Novasure and tubal ligation. Best thing I ever did.

Defo chat with your Dr…as an interim measure they should at least be able to give you something like Mefenamic Acid (basically super strength ibuprofen). I’ve always had horrific periods and this honestly made all the difference. It has a cumulative effect and can be used to reduce flow as well as pain x

Check with your doctor

Go see your Doctor this can be fixed.

You might have endometriosis

I had hysterectomy for ademiosis or whatever is called. Suffered for years also had mood swings felt suicidal heavy periods. Hysterectomy best thing ever did seriously! Am normal now.

Agnus castes May help

800 mg ibuprofen. I had my baby 1 year ago. I now experience irregular menstruation cycles with the absolute worst pain in my life when they do show up. Also, my ob prescribed lo-estrogen birth control for my menstrual in order to dull the pain, shorten the days, less bleeding. I’m so serious when I say this, I have never felt better. I do not have near the bloating or anything. In fact, mine last 3 days now.

Ibuprofen and caffeine help me with flow and cramps

Endometriosis, PCOS, etc. could be a number of things.

after i had my son 13 years ago i stopped having a period. just a couple of years ago i started to have them again not every month but every time i have one my period is so heavy lots of back pain and cramping. i once thought i was going to bleed to death it was just running down my leg. on top of that big blood clots. my dr wants me to do a sono to check for pcos

Just a warning… people are saying take Ibuprofen which is an NSAID, which in turn will make your bleeding worse…so I would go to your gynecologist just to be safe before taking, and also so he can examine, Just my opinion, not a doctor, I am just a Nurse.

take magnesium supplement. since taking I no longer get menstrual cramps.

You need to get to a Dr. I got given some meds to make it less aggressive.

For me it’s stress. Other than that. My periods are light. And not eating a lot of salt. Cuz that makes mine heavier.

Take 2 naproxen daily and it will slow down, iron pills, lots of water

Yes, YOUR DR CAN HELP

I had a C-section 5 years ago. Had sterilization in March, doc noted boggy uterus with some possible adenomyosis… I’ve had cramps from hell still so I spoke to my doc, he thinks I will need hysterectomy if bc doesn’t control it. Talk to your doc.

See your Dr could be a number of things

Hear me out…try switching to menstrual cups. I had horrible periods after kids and switching ti cups actually really improved it

Go to the doctor and have them check you out. I’ve always had the worst cramps when it came to my period. Regular pills like Tylenol and midol have never worked for me ever! Only prescription pills work but doctors would never give them to me thinking I was making the pain up. So in 2019 found out that I have polyps, clots, fibroids and cysts as to why I have so much pain. They wanted to remove my uterus and I had to tell them repeatedly that I want kids since I don’t have any. January 2020 they did the polyps removal but that was it. They didn’t want to do the other surgery cause it was too dangerous. So now I have 9 months without pain now that I’m pregnant and will see what happens after. Chances are I’ll still have pain so I might remove the uterus after. But you have to talk to a doctor and see what’s going on and see what options you have for yourself. Good luck.

My period has also changed drastically since I had my daughter. The only thing that works for me is excedrin

You’re describing me from age 29-31. I had Endometriosis really bad. It was in & outside of my uterus. I had my tubes tied at 26, my sister was battling Ovarian cancer. She died 5/20/1998 at barely 38. So I asked for complete hysterectomy and got it. No more Endometriosis, minimal risk for OC. I know that seems radical to many. For me it was a great decision. Laporscopic can be done to remove it. I had 7 of those.

I had just the opposite results after childbirth. Less of everything.

I had dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia. All that helped was OTC Naproxin. I finally had an ablation done at 42.

You should see your gynecologist with all that is happening. I 'm sure there is something to be done

Get your thyroid checked …sometimes if that’s out of whack it can cause those problems
