I know from personal experience that no period does Not mean, no ovulation, if you aren’t trying to get pregnant, you might want to start using birth control. I had 1 period after my 1st born, baby number 2 came 18 months after baby number 1

If you are breastfeeding that could be it. Also hormone changes and stress of a newborn…

You could have developed PCOS, endometriosis; you can have a cyst, stress can cause you to miss your period.

You need to try a blood test you can be pregnant and the other test show negative

Are you breast feeding? That can keep them at bay as well.

Stop having unprotected sex:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You CAN get a false negative.

Mine came later each month. And when my son hit seven months we did get pregnant again.

Could be your hormones are still messed up so your not having a period. If your not having regular periods then your probably not ovulating to get pregnant.

Stress can cause it. Also, I’ve heard if you are breastfeeding, that may delay your period after birth

Hmmm it could maybe be your body still adjusting to just having a baby? I know it takes quite a while for your body to return to normal after having a baby so that could be it. Or if you go for a check up to your OBGYN soon this could be something to bring up.

Are you breastfeeding? I didn’t have a period when I breastfed.

If you breast feed it can cause you to not have or skip periods… also hormones could just be off or you may have cysts on your ovaries … lots of different things

For me, it’s taken a while after I’ve had a baby for my periods to regulate. You can still get pregnant though. So be careful.

Your doctor should of let you know it can take a long time for periods to return to normal after you had the baby. If you’re nursing it can take longer too. Stress. Hormones. PCOS. Alot of things could be affecting it, I’d check with your doctor if it’s concerning you.

You just had a baby it can take up to I have heard 2 years to return to normal/regular after having a baby it doesn’t always take that long but it can. There are many other things that can cause it too. Definitely wouldn’t hurt to go talk to your obgyn they can help rule things out.

Go to the doctor and discuss your issues. Also have her do bloodwork to test for a pregnancy. I’ve known people yo never test positive on a pregnancy test but it will show up in bloodwork and an ultrasound.

Go get a pregnancy test with your blood instead of your urine. You may be pregnant. Those test arent always 99.99% accurate

Update to all the questions. I’m not on birth control. I breastfed for 2 months when she was first born. I had a period after that. So I’m not sure why it’s not coming back. I was spotting about a week ago for one day. Very light colored brown. I also have a cyst on my ovaries. Dr never said nothing else about it tho. I’ve been cramping lately no period tho.

I had 6 months of negative tests including blood work and I was pregnant. I found out 8 weeks before I had her.

Stress, changes in weight, medications, breastfeeding, cysts, and many many mite things can cause such issues even the covid vaccine can cause period issues. Go to ca doctor better to ask a trained professional than ask people who don’t know your medical history.

I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant so I was five months along I took pregnancy test and it never showed up but it did in my blood and that’s when I found out I was five months along sometimes it just doesn’t stick on the test like it does blood

Have a visit with you gynecologist. The pregnancy test might just be wrong.

with my first baby, I got my period back at 3 months PP and then not again until 7 months PP. I was also exclusively breastfeeding.
my second baby is 3 months and I just had my first period last week and it was very light. so we’ll see if it shows up again next month or if it stays away for a few months again?!

Maybe since the pregnancy the period is thrown off? But like other comments are saying go ahead and see a obgyn to be sure

After my youngest it’s taken over a year for my period to regulate. It went from skipping months, to 2x a month to finally once a month.

Stress will do that!!!

Not to scare any1 but only because I know from experience, ovarian cancer also mimics pregnancy symptoms aswel and although some think that a smear test detects this it doesnt there is no test for ovarian cancer other than a blood test call ca125 which is not done routinely x

Do you breastfeed? Sometimes that’ll do it on it’s own

You just had a baby 7 months ago so your body has not regulated yet. Especially if you were breast feeding.

Many things can affect your periods such as weight (especially if your underweight), stress, some medications, breastfeeding, ovarian cysts, certain health issues, even the covid vaccine has affected some women’s periods.

Are you breastfeeding? I went without a period a whole year and half. My son will 2 July 24th and the last 6 months have been random periods. And stress with do it too

My friend missed her period was 2 weeks late , took several pregnancy test they came back negative, went n got blood test done n it came back positive.

I took a pregnancy test the day I missed my period. Negative. Took another one a week later. Positive. I’m 8 months pregnant now.

Breastfeeding. I haven’t had a period in a few years between breastfeeding and pregnancies.

Many things could cause it to happen. Also my #4 baby avoided the 10 pee tests I took. Only blood test worked with that one.

I never got a positive pregnancy test and no period for a year prior and ended up pregnant with my first!

Stress, poor diet, and I’ve even read that the COVID vaccine messes with your cycle.

Think you need to get tested for something else x

I had cysts on my ovaries that caused me to miss my period for months at a time

I am currently experiencing the same thing, going on cycle day 100. I have no insurance, so I tried having a blood test done at urgent care, they charged me a whopping 250 for this blood test and then told me I had to go somewhere else to even get my blood drawn. I’m now just working on getting into a gyno, and seeing if I’m either pregnant and not showing on test. Or something else is wrong. Like a few of you have said, hormone imbalance or cysts or pregnant. God so incredibly stressful.

Sometimes breastfeeding affects the hormone levels and causes irregular period.
You can still become pregnant

I didn’t breast feed and on my last csection had my tubes done I didn’t get a period for about 6 months but my body was healing and my hormones were obviously all over the place now I’m like clock work

Breastfeeding can affect periods. Talk to ur doctor.

After my son my thyroid stopped working correctly so I gained a lot of weight. Weight gain stopped my period for a few months. Had to go to gyno to get pills to restart it every month. After losing all the weight plus more I get it normally again and on time every month

Had a similar incident. My flow took a long time to adjust after having baby

Omg same…she will be 8 months on the 22nd and I’m freaking out to have another so soon

I got pregnant with my second, while nursing my first. Do not believe the old wives tales of breastfeeding preventing pregnancy

Stress, diet, hormones, breastfeeding, some women don’t get their 1st real period for months. Are you absolutely positive that 3 months ago was your period? With my son, I didn’t pass the placenta scab until 3.5 months postpartum. And I bleed like a period but it wasn’t. I didn’t get my ACTUAL period until almost 11 months pp

For me when I’m missing periods It generally means I have an ovarian cyst. For some reason they stop up my periods. No insurance so I generally have to let them dissolve on their own.
There could be lots of reasons you’re not having a period though I would recommend seeing an OB.

There can be a number of reasons…but if the test is negative and if you’re not ready to be pregnant again then some form a birth control would be a good idea. Plus sometimes birth control can help regulate your period.

You could have low iron. I do and I had missed many periods before going to see a dr.

Go get bloodwork done.

When you don’t ovulate you don’t get a period. See your Dr.

Are you breastfeeding ? Sometimes that can cause it. And your hormones aren’t gone back to normal yet.

See your obgyn I had the same problem and it was that my hormones were unbalanced so I had to take medicine to balance it out

Diet, stress, normal life changes

My mom tested negative…kept asking Dr…she was actually having periods but said she just felt odd …boobs swelled … finally dr did a pelvic …she was 6 months pregnant

Recovering from pregnancy, and delivery alone can throw off your cycle. Give your body time. If it doesn’t get back on schedule by the time your baby is a year, see your physician. You can conceive even if your cycles are irregular so use some form of birth control.

After having a baby your body has to regulate and go back to normal. Your hormones are trying to get back in balance and it takes time sometimes. I wouldn’t stress out about it but I would try and make for sure you aren’t pregnant. I actually did something similar after having my son and the test kept saying negative but finally I got a positive I was already 12 weeks but was only 3mths post pregnancy when I got pregnant with my daughter and I only had 1 period. This time after having my daughter I made sure to have a form of birth control.

If you are breastfeeding I’ve heard of women having very irregular cycles. Stress can also cause a late cycle. If it helps you have peace at mind I would make a doctors appointment just to make sure!

Stress?
After I had my son (8yrs ago) I didn’t have one for a year, then I’d only get one every 3-6 months up until he was about 4yrs, Dr said it was fine?
Maybe go see your Dr if concerned.

Stress. Having Baby. Breastfeeding.
I didn’t have a period for like 7 months.
