My husband is a full time firefighter and part time tow truck driver/repo. I have an Etsy shop, work part time at country store/coffee shop, and I am in college. We stay busy :joy:

Mill operator for a mine, and he makes around 70k with good benefits and a lot of time off.

It’s not hourly but salary plus commission and bonuses. My husband is in sales and makes about 150k/year. It’s grueling hours though.

No husband but I surviving off my pension. But I can always work part time at the job I retired from. My position is still vacant and have been asked to come back and work part time.

No husband here. But I am blessed with family. I’m hourly plus tips… I cannot complain…

We’re in Long Island NY and my husband is a finance manager for a car dealership on the north shore. He makes very good money and it’s still hard living here. Do not come to NY it’s awful

My husband is a security guard and he makes $16 an hour. Full time sometimes he gets overtime. We are doing alright with the inflation but it’d be nice if the utilities weren’t so expensive.
on the other hand. I do free lance work to help give us extra money.

She may be asking because maybe her husband is looking for a career change? I just don’t know why ppl find this to be a weird question. Hopefully she doesn’t have any weird motives.

My husband works in a warehouse. I have a license in a field and make more than he does. We can survive without him working. We cannot without me working.

Farmer, some years are good, others not so good, this year is awful, In the 24 years I’ve been with him, this is the worst crop we’ve had, and the price of grain is dropping.

My husbands a mailman.

I don’t even know how much he makes an hour but anything after 4 pm is OT, time & a half pay. Anything after 6 pm is double pay. Going in on days off are double pay. All regardless if you hit 40 “regular hours” after those times it’s OT. So first day of the week if he worked 7:30am-7 he already would have 8 regular pay hours. 2 hours of time & a half & 1 hour of double pay.

I work part time so he can work all these hours at a microchip factory over nights. I’m home for the kids & housework & all that

Why do you ask? Cost of living is drastically different if you live in Hawaii, San Francisco or New York City vs. rural West Virginia, New Mexico or Alabama. Jobs available depend on location, education level (and how good your schools are) and subject, other training, networking ability, who you know and personality and natural talents.

NEVER depend on another person for your financial security. Always be prepared to get a decent paying job if you’re not already working. You can encourage your husband to improve his employment opportunities but you don’t get to tell someone else how to live.

Back in the day of normal people, it was considered rude to ask how much a person made at their job. So, mind yer bidness . it’s on a need to know basis and you don’t need to know! SMH!!!

Would you like our date of birth & social security numbers too🤦‍♀️

Trucker, not saying what he is on a hour but we live comfortably, but he is hardly home

My husband is in EMS, and I work at a nursing home. Sometimes we struggle, but we mostly just get by.

My husband is a Union Carpenter with a position as Superintendent at a bridge construction company. We are doing well even with two teenage boys at home.

My boyfriend is 2nd in command at a construction company. He just got a substantial raise. I work from home full time for a health insurance company. We’re very comfortable with our combined income.

My husband Is a heavy equipment operator in the he works in the gold mines , were a one income household. He makes 150k a year , we have good benefits thank God he also gets an extra travel pay every 3 weeks which helps alot . We get by alright

Both work 40hrs a week. Make a budget and stay within your means. I keep track of the bills and have it planned out months in advance or I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night lol

My husband just started working for our public schools department of transportation and I work part time in a home decor warehouse. We’re both off on the weekends so we spend our weekends delivering with UberEats to earn extra cash. All of our bills are paid so we’re making it.

He worked when he want whenever he wanted…we’re separated now

My husband is a general manager at an auto store. My mom & brother live with us & we all split the bills that’s the only way.

My husband is a dairy manager in a grocery store and also a stocker at another store. We’re a one income household as I’m waiting to see if I can get ssdi. And we survive by using a BUDGET!

My hubby & I work for an aggregate company him in the field me in the office we are doing fine financially

We both work, and make the same amount, that’s how we are surviving.

Husband is a mechanic. He gets paid commission. Sometimes its 1500 a week Sometimes its 600 a week.

My husbands a helicopter pilot and he’s been one for long enough he makes 6 figures… I’m not sure on his hourly rate. But if we want or need anything extra he just picks up extra shifts. He actually usually does it anyways because he LOVES his job. Lol

He makes roughly 30 an hour + expenses. Regional sales manager for a cannabis company. I’m on mat leave right now but made the decision 2 years ago to be a home daycare provider to save money on daycare. I was a nurse. I still do that casually on the weekends when he’s off for extra income and we have a rental property.

Well we both work full time.
We do not live outside what we can actually afford. We don’t use credit to buy anything and if we don’t have the money we don’t buy it.

He’s a log truck driver, I’m a nurse. Each make about 100k a year

My husband is a mechanic for his full-time job Monday through Saturday and four days a week at night He works part time at a car parts store. He is only paid minimum wage at both jobs.
I also work full time I get paid minimum wage. we are not doing well.

My husband and I own 3 businesses and we are actually doing better than we ever have before. We own a diesel mechanic business, screen printing business, ticker resell business. My husband does most of the work for 2 businesses and I run the screen printing business. We do very well in life now.

Enlisted military for 20 yrs. You can almost figure out pay based on that. We live under our means because the stress of keeping up with the jones’ isn’t worth it.

My husband is an underground coal mine foreman. 40 an hour. I’m a nurse manager make close to the same. We have four boys so we work our tushies off always have and with the way the world is going probably always will lol.

Heavy equipment operator. Att least 40 hrs a week 20 dollars an hour. Plus we have 4 kids plus 1.

My husband is a diesel mechanic. Makes $26/an hour and works 50/60hrs a week. I am a daycare teacher making $14/hr. We have 5 kids between the 2 of us. We struggle some weeks, and other weeks are great. But couldn’t definitely use a break on our wallets. My pay basically pays our rent of $1400 and he covers EVERYTHING else.

Please don’t assume that we all have husbands paying our bills. Many of us work hard and do whatever it takes to handle our business.

My hubby is an I.T manager. He makes amazing money but I won’t share the with the world!

Coal miner. Pay is decent but we’re still barely holding up with 3 kids and inflation. Some checks are better than others depending the hours. Bonuses every 3 months are great though

My husband is a 100% disabled veteran so we get VA pay. He’s also in school currently for tech engineering so we get extra from that. Estimated $31 an hr for both. I’m also going to school for a BS in psychology.

He works in a distribution warehouse for a beer company. He makes 6 figures but it is still a financial struggle for a family of 3, with pets and a mortgage that also needs to somehow afford food. Our grocery bill has more than doubled due to inflation and we are buying the same things and cooking at home as much as possible… some jobs that pay a lot are barely enough to afford the cost of living for a family in that area. He works close to 7 days a week just to ensure we have enough here in TX. For reference I made $20 an hour and owned my own place in Ohio and didn’t have to work more than 40 hours and still had money to splurge on myself, but unfortunately he couldn’t find a comparable paying job up there. Sometimes you have to move to where the work is.

Husband? A majority of us are out here making it on our own (by choice). If single parents can make way so can a 2 income home. If you can’t,then you seriously need to reevaluate your way of life and live within your means.

Not enough to live comfortably.

Master mechanic. He averages about $55/hr. But I work as well and make about $35/hr (due for a raise in the spring and will bump me up to $39/hr)

I make $45 an hour bartending I work about 35 hours a week. My fiancé makes $25 an hour as a sous chef and works full time. We collectively make over six figures a year but here in MA it doesn’t even matter :disappointed:

No husband. I do it all alone.

I’m a SAHM my husband is a mechanic. We have 4 children, animals and more to come. We don’t find joy in going out to movies or to restaurants, we don’t have to have fancy clothes and I never get my hair done(don’t need to, I work hard in my house and in my garden.) Same with nails and makeup. We don’t need the extra. We are not rich but we get along just fine. Take it back to simple. Yes we have fun! But we don’t have to spend loads of money to do it.

Let’s talk about what women do….
Such an odd question.

Hes maintence at a steel mill at $19hr with profit sharing pay on top of that every week and we barely survive lol but we also have 6 kids

Its not really polite to ask how much money other people make let alone their husbands. But I understand where its coming from i guess. My husband runs his own drywall installation and construction company. He’s a subcontractor for major construction company’s so he does work for someone but it’s his business that does the work. He mostly does drywall installation but he does alot of metal framing work too now that all these Marijuana dispensarys are coming up in NY. Its a never ending area of work, with the rate of city expansion. He makes pretty good money doing this kind of work. 150-200 grand a year. It varies depending on whats being built in the cities each year and how many guys he has working for him. Anyone can get into it. You just need to learn the trade. But its really hard work and long days. He’s gone from 5am-5pm most days though because 3-4 hours a day is traveling time. Since the big jobs are always in the cities and he picks all his employees up to bring them to work and we all live out in farm country. Now I also make money working with his business. Granted, I make a lot less (20 grand/year); but it works for us.

He is a stay at home dad who runs our card / comic ebay business and does everything around the house and does random side jobs…I’m the main bread winner RN 42/hr

We couldn’t survive on my husbands income alone. We are both nurses. He works full time (40 hours) & I work 24-36 hours a week. I’m also in nurse practitioner school full time, so paying for that & can’t work full time. Once I started school back and cut my hours, I don’t spend as much as I use too. I only buy what we actually need. I occasionally try to go to Aldi if I’m out that way to cut cost on some grocery items they have, & I buy the Walmart brand for a lot of items too

Unusual and a personal question

Money management is a must do regardless of whats going on.

My husband is a truck driver, anywhere from 1500 a week to 2000! We are surviving just fine!

In Australia, construction pay rates start from: $25 and can go as far up as $35. The more tickets/licenses you have, the more likely you are to get a better paying job.

I was a construction labour and operator. As a labourer (for this company, and many similar) I was making $27-$29 an hour. As an Operator (EWP Under 11m) $35-$40, Operator (EWP Over 11m) $45-$60. Big company’s like Amazon and Woolies, Coles, Aldi, Costco, all pay Award rates. Award rates are rates dictated by the government in order to coincide with the fair workers act.

I haven’t worked in many other industries, but I done a stint in Elderly Homecare, duties were Cleaning and assisting the client with everyday tasks. From cleaning, mopping, changing of linen, loading/unloading washer and dishwasher. Might even take them shopping or out for a coffee. A lot of times I got to have coffee with my clients as part of my job. This employer was paying $29 + $0.79 per km traveled.

My husband works in mechanics and makes 29$ an hour

Hubby is GM of a Toyota store. Makes good money. We aren’t too extravagant, but do enjoy ourselves. I tend to be very frugal anyway. Shop at thrift stores. Rarely get nails or hair done. Inflation sucks, but we’ve both lived the poor life when we were young parents so we know how to budget and keep a frugal mentality.

Army now reserves and delivers bourbon. $26 an hour and unlimited overtime. Four work days.
Some months are rough but we keep realistic and I just went back to work after four years since our kid is in school. I help and pay her tuition.

Kind of personal information you are asking for.
