I got pregnant at 42 with only 1 functioning ovary and a large mass growing inside of me(I didnā€™t know about it until after i had my first sonogram). I turned 43 a month before I had my son. He was a surprise baby but such a blessing!

Chances are pretty high especially if youā€™re healthy and have had other pregnancies. You stand a greater chance of multiples as well.

I got pregnant at 44. My dr said as long as your body is healthy enough to reproduce then age didnā€™t really matter.

My mom was having ā€œstomach painsā€ and went to the Dr. She was 43. He asked if there was any chance she could be pregnant. (2nd marriage, already had a 23 year old that had 2 kids and pregnant with her 3rd). She laughed and said no. They tested anyway and came to tell her she was pregnant. She criedā€¦because she was shocked and then wasnā€™t sure she could do it at 43. Iā€™m here to say she did it and she tells me all the time that she couldnā€™t have lived without me. As I was born by c section, she couldnā€™t even hold me right away because they needed to ā€œfix some thingsā€. She was told by doctors that they donā€™t know how she carried a baby. But here I am! (34 and with an 11 year old girl of my own!) There was a miscarriage before meā€¦but it definitely is possible!

As long as youā€™re still ovulatingā€¦highly possible!

I work at an OB/GYN office and have seen a 50 year old pregnant. If you havenā€™t gone through menopause, it is possible.

However, many older women mistake menopausal symptoms for pregnancy symptoms, sometimes even vise versa. The only way to really tell would be with a pregnancy test. Tests will be accurate 2 weeks after intercourse. You can also have your OB check your HCG and progesterone levels to determine if you are pregnant or not.

Why the wow reactions? 43 isnt old. Is it the ideal age to have a baby? Maybe not so much, but it can happen. I do believe anyone can, the only things are, when youā€™re 50 your baby will be 7 and you may not have as much energy etc. And i personally dont believe in the whole health issues, my mom had her last two in her 40s and her abd them came out fine. Good luck!

Iā€™ll give you either my middle or my youngest and you will change your mind!

But I know a lot of people that have had children in their 40sā€¦as long as you are in good health probably be fineā€¦ but talk to Dr just to make sure!

Good luck!

Everybody assuming she wants to get pregnant, but Iā€™m pretty sure if you are still menstruating then you can definitely get pregnant! Hell Iā€™m 52 and still regular and still ovulating, thank God my hubby is fixed :joy:

I had my youngest at 42 and sheā€™s 6. I was seen by a MFM doctor and had all the tests and follow ups done and everything was good. I asked my OB and he told me if youā€™re gonna do it, do it now  granted I didnā€™t have any major health issues either.

Good to fair. But dangerous for both you and your baby. I had my daughter at 40 and it was rough. But a kept up with my doctor appointments and followed the doctorā€™s instructions. My daughter came out in good health but later has had some learning difficulties. The older you are the more likely you or your child will have difficulty. Each year after 40 the worries are higher. I am also often called her grandmother when I take her out. Donā€™t do it alone if I hadnā€™t have/ had the support of my husband and family these last 11 years would have been rough.

Just had my 4th baby in September, and Iā€™m 34yrs old today, the pregnancy wasnā€™t hard, but towards the end it got tough, so much different than in my 20s, my first were twins, I was 22yrs old, my second I was 27yrs old. But every pregnancy is different, you go through things differently. Itā€™s amazing what your body can do. If every pregnancy could be like the last 2, I would be pregnant all of the time lol but no more for me though, I got my tubes tied, 4 boys me is enough, good luck and wish you the best <3

The chances depend on the person, depends on that personā€™s fertility health, and physical health.

Menopause babies happen!

Not that 43 is menopause age but you get where Iā€™m coming from!

Definitely possible, the chances of multiple increases and so does the chance of having a baby with Downā€™s Syndrome.

Why would you want to? The child will end up being your carer. In my opinion itā€™s cruel.

If your doctor says you canā€™t get pregnant, but you still have all the working parts, donā€™t believe him/her.

I got pregnant at 40. It does take its toll on your body, youā€™re not 20 anymore. Still I would do it again. My child is cherished!

If youā€™re still ovulating and having sex then pretty good.
Thatā€™s really a tough question cause thereā€™s so many factors that go into getting pregnant and they vary from woman to woman.

I just had my 5th son this past year at 45

Unless youā€™ve hit menopause you still have a good chance. My father the baby of 12 was conceived when his mother was 44

I think thereā€™s a great chance at any ageā€¦ in india there was an older couple and she was maybe 50 or so look it up it was an interesting read

As long as you havenā€™t gone through menopause, and your doctor says itā€™s okay, itā€™s possible to get pregnant then.

Although after menopause that requires help

Depends on your overall health, no two women are the same. Yes itā€™s happened before however there increased risks at that age. Not to mention the rude title they give women over 35

Not to mention, wasnā€™t Janet Jackson like 50? I can say being pregnant at 40 with my girls was so much hard6on my body than it was 10 years ago with my first. My hips still click, my sciatic pain that started then is still really bad and Iā€™ll probably never be the same. I also had preclampsia, which happens too. But, my girls were healthy and so was I for the most part. I made it to 34+4 and they didnā€™t think I would. If you do, take care of yourself. Drink water, eat healthy and try to remain as stress free as possible, it helps!

I had my 4th at 39. I had zero issues getting pregnant and the pregnancy/csection recovery was the easiest out of all 4!

Sods law dictates that if you donā€™t want to, you will. And if you do want to, you wonā€™t. My grandma thought it was the menopause at 48, but it was a baby.
