I got pregnant at 42 with only 1 functioning ovary and a large mass growing inside of me(I didnāt know about it until after i had my first sonogram). I turned 43 a month before I had my son. He was a surprise baby but such a blessing!
I was pregnant at 41, birth at 42.
She was planned - and is my 2nd child.
As an older mother, holy fuck.
Tired doesnāt begin to cover it.
Iāll be 50 this yr. I feel every one of thos years dealing with an 8yr old.
My grandmother had my dad at 53. He is the baby of 15 kids.
Chances are pretty high especially if youāre healthy and have had other pregnancies. You stand a greater chance of multiples as well.
I got pregnant at 44. My dr said as long as your body is healthy enough to reproduce then age didnāt really matter.
My mom had me at 47 & only had half of an ovary!
My mom was having āstomach painsā and went to the Dr. She was 43. He asked if there was any chance she could be pregnant. (2nd marriage, already had a 23 year old that had 2 kids and pregnant with her 3rd). She laughed and said no. They tested anyway and came to tell her she was pregnant. She criedā¦because she was shocked and then wasnāt sure she could do it at 43. Iām here to say she did it and she tells me all the time that she couldnāt have lived without me. As I was born by c section, she couldnāt even hold me right away because they needed to āfix some thingsā. She was told by doctors that they donāt know how she carried a baby. But here I am! (34 and with an 11 year old girl of my own!) There was a miscarriage before meā¦but it definitely is possible!
As long as youāre still ovulatingā¦highly possible!
Im having my 1st child at age 40. Never been pregnant not even a pregnancy scareā¦ Im due September 30 im so excited and blessed
I just turned 40ā¦I already have 4 kidsā¦im trying to get pregnant tooā¦I atleast want two moreā¦so good luck to u ā¦and meā¦much love
My aunt was 48 when she had my cousin, perfectly healthy and everything. My mom had my little brother at 45. It can and does happen very often honestly.
I got pregnant at 39. Gave birth to triplets at 40. Then got pregnant again 41 with my youngest. No problems at all. Jus listen to your dr and stay healthy.
I work at an OB/GYN office and have seen a 50 year old pregnant. If you havenāt gone through menopause, it is possible.
However, many older women mistake menopausal symptoms for pregnancy symptoms, sometimes even vise versa. The only way to really tell would be with a pregnancy test. Tests will be accurate 2 weeks after intercourse. You can also have your OB check your HCG and progesterone levels to determine if you are pregnant or not.
Slim to non and tbh when you get pregnant at older ages the risk of defects etc majorly increase
Mines 14 Iām 33 and even though I love my bf of 4 years now and wish we had a kid together, I couldnāt imagine starting all over and being tied down with a little one for the next 15 years. My 40s are gona be kid free lol
I have a son who is about to be 17, and just had my sweet baby boy March 13th, and Iāll be 42 in Juneā¦ not gonna lie, it was a lot easier on my body at 25 than 41 lol!
Aunt got pregnant with #8 at age 49. Took 7 months before pregnancy test turned positive
My grandma had my uncle at 44. My uncle and I are 15 months apart. It can be done.
It really just depends on your body. I have a handful of friends who had babies in their 40s.
Pregnant at 43 and now at 44. I know lots of woman in their 40ās that have had a baby. Iād say pretty good.
I have several friends who had kids in their 40s. I was 42 when I had my third who is 6 nowā¦and have a friend that got pregnant for the first time at 48. It just all depends.
Why the wow reactions? 43 isnt old. Is it the ideal age to have a baby? Maybe not so much, but it can happen. I do believe anyone can, the only things are, when youāre 50 your baby will be 7 and you may not have as much energy etc. And i personally dont believe in the whole health issues, my mom had her last two in her 40s and her abd them came out fine. Good luck!
Iāll give you either my middle or my youngest and you will change your mind!
But I know a lot of people that have had children in their 40sā¦as long as you are in good health probably be fineā¦ but talk to Dr just to make sure!
Good luck!
Everybody assuming she wants to get pregnant, but Iām pretty sure if you are still menstruating then you can definitely get pregnant! Hell Iām 52 and still regular and still ovulating, thank God my hubby is fixed
My mother was 45, when she had me!!! My brother and sister are almost 27 years apart! So itās always a possibility!
I had my youngest at 42 and sheās 6. I was seen by a MFM doctor and had all the tests and follow ups done and everything was good. I asked my OB and he told me if youāre gonna do it, do it now granted I didnāt have any major health issues either.
Definitely possible! Sure ups your chances of twins! I had my girls last August at 40. They were quite the surprise because the Dr told me I was done.
My last child was born when I was 46. Love of my life
Had my two year old at 42 almost 43. My Dr said more women in their forties are having babies now! I just had to take a baby aspirin, prenatal, and folic acid pills
Good to fair. But dangerous for both you and your baby. I had my daughter at 40 and it was rough. But a kept up with my doctor appointments and followed the doctorās instructions. My daughter came out in good health but later has had some learning difficulties. The older you are the more likely you or your child will have difficulty. Each year after 40 the worries are higher. I am also often called her grandmother when I take her out. Donāt do it alone if I hadnāt have/ had the support of my husband and family these last 11 years would have been rough.
iām a l&d nurse and i routinely see patients a decade older than you.
I had my daughter 6 months before I turned 42. No treatments, no meds etc. She is perfect. I loved being pregnant. Every second.
If you are fertileā¦well I found out 58. Some ladies are late bloomers. I didnāt start my cycle until 14. I was athletic into tennis, gymnastics and softball.
I heard a story today about a 51 year old woman getting pregnant with twins no IVF, no meds, not even an intention of getting pregnant! That was my bank tellerās mom.
Just had my 4th baby in September, and Iām 34yrs old today, the pregnancy wasnāt hard, but towards the end it got tough, so much different than in my 20s, my first were twins, I was 22yrs old, my second I was 27yrs old. But every pregnancy is different, you go through things differently. Itās amazing what your body can do. If every pregnancy could be like the last 2, I would be pregnant all of the time lol but no more for me though, I got my tubes tied, 4 boys me is enough, good luck and wish you the best <3
The chances depend on the person, depends on that personās fertility health, and physical health.
Boy!!! Good on ya!!! I just had a baby at 34 and its rockin my world. Im exhausted all the time. So worth it though. Good luck love!!!
Menopause babies happen!
Not that 43 is menopause age but you get where Iām coming from!
Definitely possible, the chances of multiple increases and so does the chance of having a baby with Downās Syndrome.
Why would you want to? The child will end up being your carer. In my opinion itās cruel.
My mother got pregnant with me when she was 41 Andy dad was 52. Anything is possible. I believe a baby is a MIRACLE of God.
It can happen.
If your doctor says you canāt get pregnant, but you still have all the working parts, donāt believe him/her.
I had my first at 36 second at 39 and third at 45 so yea Iām sure as long as you have a regular cycle. Iām done
My mom had my youngest sister at 45. She thought it was menopause. Turned out it was pregnancy. Lol.
Absolutely. I have a few friends who got pregnant in their 40ās and also my aunt did and she even had her tubes tied!
I got pregnant at 40. It does take its toll on your body, youāre not 20 anymore. Still I would do it again. My child is cherished!
If youāre still ovulating and having sex then pretty good.
Thatās really a tough question cause thereās so many factors that go into getting pregnant and they vary from woman to woman.
I just had my 5th son this past year at 45

I think thereās a great chance at any ageā¦ in india there was an older couple and she was maybe 50 or so look it up it was an interesting read
As long as you havenāt gone through menopause, and your doctor says itās okay, itās possible to get pregnant then.
Although after menopause that requires help
Iām pregnant right now at 43. I have had a few friends have theirs in their 40s, too.
Depends on your overall health, no two women are the same. Yes itās happened before however there increased risks at that age. Not to mention the rude title they give women over 35
My mom had me at 36 after 14 years of trying. She then had my brother at 41.
My mom had me when she was 45.
My step mom is in her 40s and just had her second baby. Both are perfectly healthy.
I got pregnant at 42 with my last, sheās an absolute blessing after an awful miscarriage.
Not to mention, wasnāt Janet Jackson like 50? I can say being pregnant at 40 with my girls was so much hard6on my body than it was 10 years ago with my first. My hips still click, my sciatic pain that started then is still really bad and Iāll probably never be the same. I also had preclampsia, which happens too. But, my girls were healthy and so was I for the most part. I made it to 34+4 and they didnāt think I would. If you do, take care of yourself. Drink water, eat healthy and try to remain as stress free as possible, it helps!
I had my 4th at 39. I had zero issues getting pregnant and the pregnancy/csection recovery was the easiest out of all 4!
Very good. I had my last at 41. Went great!
Sods law dictates that if you donāt want to, you will. And if you do want to, you wonāt. My grandma thought it was the menopause at 48, but it was a baby.
My mom had my little brother when she was 43 ā¦ no issues, he just turned 18!
I read a medical journal once about a 53yo that had a baby. I think it all depends on if you e started menopause yet or not.
Possible yes.
A cousin of mine fell pregnant, naturally at 45 and had twins. They are now in their 20ās.
Yes. My mother got pregnant with me at 42 when she was told 12 years before that she could not have anymore children when she had my brother

As long as your cycles are still normal Iād say theyāre probably good!
My mom naturally got pregnant at 43. Not trying! It can happen.

I know a lady that was in the hospital at the same time as me when I have my daughter she went to get her tubes tied and found out she was pregnant and she was 44

I got pregnant at 43 with my first baby
Anything is possible
Just try to maintain your health a little more than you typically would.
Had my second son at 43!!! It was a perfect pregnancyā¦much easier than my first pregnancy in my 20s!!!
I had 2 babies 15 months apartā¦ conceived at ages 34& 35, had them at ages 35 & 36. Tried for 4 months to get pregnant with my toddler and didnāt try at all with my newborn.
