What is my chance of getting pregnant at 43?

Depends on how often you’re having sex

Ask your physician. This really isn’t a question for Facebook, if I’m being honest.

It can certainly happen. Our bodies are all different. See your doctor.

I’m 44 with an 8 month old I’d say as long as you are healthy you have a good chance.

That’s something only your dr can tell you.

I am 45 and this is my 2 year old.

Was told I couldn’t have a child. Years and years later I conceived (happily surprised) naturally. Little man will turn 3 on Friday and I am 45. He’s my one and only.

My grandmother had her last child at 65. It was a late marriage lol.

WHY is the better question!!

Definitely possible, especially if you are premenopausal. I work for a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and we have quite a few 40 and over patients who get pregnant with surprises. One patient was 51 :flushed:

My bestie was born her mom was 61. Unless you’ve gone through menopause, you can most definitely get preggo.

If you’re still menstruating and ovulating you still have a chance at pregnancy. I have a sister who was 42 when she had her last.

tbh anything can happen to anyone regardless of there age, and don’t children normmally spend time with there grandparents around that age if not older anyway? I think everyone’s opinions are not important if the woman wants to have a child so be it her body her life no one’s elses and I’m sure the doctors would give good and proper advice :slightly_smiling_face:

I had my last at 42 naturally (with only one fallopian tube) … My sister had one at 45, also naturally.

It’s possible.
Just change your diet. Take the prenatal vitamins now.
Drink plenty of water.
No drinking
No smoking
Exercise daily if you can
Try not to stress over becoming pregnant
Get a physical make sure you are healthy enough for pregnancy :pregnant_woman:
Most of all make sure you are mentally ready for the baby
Good luck being a mommy is extremely hard and such a rewarding life journey
So many blessings
It’s a work in progress you learn as you go

My ex-boyfriend’s mother of his children she got pregnant I think she was like 42 and had good pregnancy in had it a little boy he is now almost 7

Possible bit the chances of down syndrome is extremely high at tht age

It depends do you find some guy who wants to sleep with you. If you have not find it so far :grinning:

Depends on you. Higher chances of complications though. Not impossible.

That really depends on your body. Asking your doctor is the best option.

Go get a 21 day blood test done amd maybe an amh blood test done to see if it is still possible.

As long as you’re still producing good eggs, I don’t see an issue.

If you’re not going through menopause then you’re fine

It can happen, but you’d be better asking your doctor. Many different factors could be involved

I got pregnant at almost 42 easily and on purpose

I had a baby at 38 and having another at 39.

Anything is possible, my husband’s mom had him at 41

I’d go get an egg count done… that will tell you… but keep trying in the meantime!!! Personally I believe you have a decent chance
Good luck :purple_heart:

My mom got pregnant at 41

Still high. Women have a finite number of “eggs” that they start out with from the time they develop them in utero. Typically they run out of “eggs” around the age of 49-51, but there’s some that run out outside of the normal distribution (lower than 49 or higher than 51).

As you age, the likelihood of developing complications increases, so don’t wait too much longer and make sure you go in for regular check ups during pregnancy. If you can afford it, I’d advise getting NIPT testing to ensure there’s no genetic anomalies.

I got pregnant with my first at 41

I have a friend that thought she would never. Then at 45 thought she was starting menopause only to find out she was pregnant. Another friends wife tried 21 years and got pregnant about 44. Good luck!!

Lol I’m 43 and my daughter is 1 day old. Life decided I needed to be extra fertile in my 40s… Had my first at 41 and last yesterday

I’d ask your doctor. She and you know your body and medical history to be able to best answer that. As long as there are no other issues that can prevent it, I’d say you have a pretty good chance. Many women are still getting pregnant in their 40s

I had my son at 43. We used IVF and he’s the happiest and smartest little boy.

I don’t think it matters by your age per-say… ask your dr. My friend had her first at 42. I had my last at 40 … by a oops AFTER my husband had a vasectomy and only had 20% ! Depends on the person!

Depends all on your individual circumstances and health but if you have a regular period and have been taking ovulation tests that confirm your ovulating then theres no reason why you cant, just more potential health issues with baby

So I personally had my first in my early 20’s and tried to get pregnant for years after. My partner and I split and now with a new partner amd we have a 4 and 5 year old I now 43 this year so it’s totally possible. I also got pregnant 100% naturally so as long as there are no infertility issues I would say your chances are good

Every year the percentage drops after 40. I would suggest you see a doctor. Good luck my hair stylist got pregnant at 48.

I’ll be 43 in November. I’m currently 10weeks. No ivf, so it is possible as long as cycle is regular.

I was 38 when I had my son. I had to see a high risk OB. I didn’t think I would ever be a mother. If you’re meant to be one it will happen!

Im 41 and 30 weeks pregnant and i wasn’t regular so yes its possible, good luck

Pretty good! I did and I weighed 322 lbs(since then have lost over 122 of it) You’ll be fine, just get a good doctor.

Very possible momma😊My mom got pregnant at 42 with our youngest sis.She was her menopausal baby, she’s healthy and she had down syndrome❤

Women are getting pregnant in their 50’s so yes you can in your 40’s. However their could be health risks that you might not have had if pregnant in your 30’s.

I’m 40 and 14 weeks and had PCOS and got pregnant natural. Good luck to u.

I’ll b 37 on the 18th and I’ve tried pretty much everything aside from IVF and I’m pretty much just accepted the fact that babies just aren’t in my future as sad as that makes me my fiance and I are amazing with children we raised our goddaughter for 3 years straight shes 5 and now her p.o.s parents ripped her from our lives once again and they are only doing it to hurt her and us because there were all so butt hurt n jelious over her calling me mom and my fiance dad even though she we explained to her that we arent she still continues to call us that as we were the only stability in her life it’s a shame shit parents can pop out kids over n over again n give them away or cps takes them and then there’s people like us who would b amazing parents and cant for the life of us get pregnant its heartbreaking

Depends on factors such as if you smoke, stress levels and if people in your family have had babies in their forties.

Well as long as you’re still menstruatingand ovulating pretty regularly chances are decent.

My mother had me at 44 so yes it can happen.
