$70 sounds perfect here
I ask for 10 an hour
10 hours a day- you’re supervising her virtual learning and feeding her. I’m sure you are trying to help out her mom but even $3 an hour is too little for what you’re doing. $5 an hour is still way below minimum wage but $50 a day seems more reasonable.
ATLEAST $100 total for all 3 days.
We pay $10 per hour for total of 3 kids. That’s not during school
Hours but does involve cooking cooking dinner and so forth.
Is it a really close friend or relative? They’re getting homey hook up on childcare. Don’t feel bad asking for $30 and the kid should bring snack and lunch as well.

We have a family member who is 16 babysit our 2 year old and 4 year old. She watches them for 6 hours and I pay her $80 per day (and I feel as if this isn’t enough). All she has to do is feed them breakfast get them ready in the morning and then play. You should definitely be demanding more than $30 per day.
Around our area $3 an hour is way way too low !
$30 for an entire day seems very, very, very low. I would say anywhere from $15-$20 an hour
I just checked into parting childcare and it was $15/hr! I charge $30 a day. I have a soft spot for families that can’t afford reasonable and trusted childcare. I would go with your husband on this one❤️ good luck!
My 10 year old is in a childcare center. We are also on hybrid school. They charge me $130 a week for 3 full days with school help and food included then 2 days afterschool care. I am in South Carolina
20 years ago when I was 11 /12 years old I got payed $20 -$30 to watch 1 to 4 kids for 3 to 5 hrs. I live in mass. I would say if it’s a friend , I would ask for $120 to $150 for 3 days . At least $40 a day
Way too low, some parents need to hear the phrase" you get what you pay for!" You are being too nice, I get you want to be kind& help someone out but schooling should really be done with the parent…they can do it with their child after work. I have arranged to so with my 6yr old. Would never want someone to feel that I’m taking advantage of them🤦♀️! And that pray tell is what is being done here! Hourly rate should be $13 to $14 an hour, children are alot of work& they should want the person to know they’re valued for taking good care of precious cargo…
I pay $365 a month for before and after school care for
3days/week That works out to around $30 a day. If he needs a full day of care (eg. spring break) it’s a top up of $15/day.
We live in BC, Canada
I am begging for someone to work with Lucy and help with Charlee and I am paying $20 an hour for 32 hours a week. Plus mom would still be here.
if it’s a friend or something ur trying to help out 30 is great if it’s an actual job like u need the money, check out going rates n ur area. in my area 3 full days plus food and school stuff would b more like 100+ a day u need to take in consideration what’s ur time worth food costs and ur efforts for the schooling stuff.
Most child care rates are $5 an hour. Check with your local child care council for the going rate.
At least 50 a day. You’re not only helping them learn but make food/etc. Here in Germany I’ve seen adds starting at 70€ a day…
Based off our hybrid learning I’ve been doing with my 6 year old … You should charge at least min wage… If I got paid for this I would be looking for at least $15-$20 an hour… ()
That’s way too low. $3 an hr to babysit and do remote learning? Absolutely not. You can work at target and make more and do less work.
Daycare for 7 hours in my area is around $36
Too low specially if you’re doing the school work but research first if the family is capable then make it $10/hr or more because you’re babysitting and being a tutor at the same time
People, if the mother has to pay $150 a week for 3 days, she has to come up with $300 every paycheck and for a lot of middle class people who are even making $16/hr, coming up with $300 every 2 weeks from a paycheck can be a big chunk. So yes $90 a week is fair. The kids are big enough to not constantly watch over every second like a newborn baby.
I get paid $15 a hour it’s a job don’t short yourself
We pay $3 an hour in central Iowa!
$30 is low if expected to help with schoolwork
I say $50 a day is reasonable your working 10 hours!
I pay my babysitting $30 to watch all 3 of my kids for 2 hours. $30 for 1 kids for a full day and remote learning is a steal! I’d definitely ask no less then $30!! Personally, I’d ask for more remote learning is no joke and a lot of work.
I would get paid 20 bucks for three hours.
Plus hybrid learning? Private tutor here! I charge $50/hour for a kindergartener. If you’re expected to teach… charge them for it.
You deserve more. My sitter gets $20 an hour
Teacher/tutor & sitter - $200 a week
We pay our babysitter $12 an hour here in SW Washington.
I watch 3 kids Monday-Friday from 9-4 and make $18/hr.
Tutors make $25-35 an hour!
$12 or $15 an hour, God bless you
$25 a day more like 25 an hour if your lucky
I pay $40.00 a day from 6am-6pm … my baby sitter feeds her breakfast, lunch and snack …
Our* are* lord mercy!
My husband and I got separated when i found out he was having an affair with another woman:sob:, when i confronted him, we had argument and he broke up with me:sob:, i tried all i could to get him back but all to no avail:sob:. I cried all day and helpless looking up to God to help me with the problem in my marriage. All I need is my marriage to be restored back, we’ve been together for years and he has done nothing but cheated and lied to me. but I know it’s something that can be fixed I still love him the same way when I first met him. However I decided to seek help from Priest Andrew, he reunited my marriage back together as it was in the beginning. now my marriage is perfectly fine and I know there are lot of people out there who have different kind of problem in home, marriages and relationships. I think that is very reasonable
I pay my sister $50 for 6 hrs but she does watch them in my home were its convient for my kids I feed and get them ready before I leave i clean house and cook them dinner before I leave but its for a 8yr old 6yr 4 yr and 2 yr idk
Demand more, you need it
I think it all depends on you and the person you are watching for bc all these people saying ask for more well ask them how their babysitting jobs went lol im just saying their are many different circumstances that play in this i would say if its a single mom with a minimum wage job then i dont think 30 is to much to ask for and i think thats a big help to not only u but her bc she will tell her friends and stuff get u more kids to babysit . but if its a mom and dad who have good jobs u could ask for more i mean it all depends on the situation. I mean if its a single mom with a job that pays shit and u up it to much your gonna find your self jobless bc they wont be able to afford u thats why some people dont babysit anymore bc they charge so much they lose their people .
My daycare is monthly but works out to about $40 per day. Breakfast, lunch and snack are given.
That’s a very good price
That’s a very fair rate
I think it just right.
