That’s between you and your daughter If she needs it or she’s uncomfortable do it. No one else’s business!!
When she can no longer get away with wearing her tops or when she plays them all over the place but you should discuss with her pediatrician
It depends on when they start to develop some at 6 or 7 and some at 8 or 9 every girl is different
Thay have cotton bras that look like sports bras but are not as constricting. Thats what I put on my 7 year old.
My daughter wanted to be like me. She has had sports bras since she was 3. They have cute little girls bras for little kids. My daughter is 12 now and we just got her “real” bras last year…
Undershirt or small sport type bra. My daughter is 7 and same situation
My girls started wearing bras in grade six
When they start to develop. It can happen quite young these days. I have had first graders in little camisoles or training bras.
I grew up in Denmark. Didn’t wear a bra till moving to the US at age 25.
I was 9 when i startes wearing one.
When they can no longer wear a shirt without them showing
Start with undershirts, sportsbras before time for regular bras. Depends on the maturity. Mine started with undershirts at 9 by 11 bras.
My granddaughter is (10) now n been wearing a comfy sports bra this school yr (4th gr)
My daughter is now 10 years old. But she’s been wearing bras for a couple of years now. She likes the little camisole or sports bra styles.
I started all 4 of my girls around 7 years old. So they can be used it .
I was 10 when my mother got me a training bra. Let’s just say my breasts came early. XD
I started wearing one when I was 9. I started developing before but didn’t like the look or feel of them
When they have to change for p.e.
U should read the book on how bras blocks your glands and are horrible effects of them
When they want or need it, whichever comes first
She needs a bra as soon as she starts showing through her clothes. As the other kids will start teasing her.
What ever makes HER comfortable!
Put her on a diet you also
They do have training bras to start:woman_shrugging:t4: I got my first at 9. If she is already developing then a training bra is probably your best bet…
When she starts to sprout
What she needs now is top bra
Get her pretty we crop tops
If she’s developing, regardless of age, she needs a bra.
Training bras or even some sport bras for lil girls.
As soon as she starts getting breasts. Don’t let her be shamed in school by her boobies showing through her clothes. Get her some little training bras, sports bras, and tank tops with little shelf bras built into them.
Side note: switch to organic foods and milk with no hormones. You might see this stop or regress.
There is no age to start wearing a bra. I developed early and by the time I was 13 I had 38B cup breasts. If she’s already showing then it’s a good time to get one.
If you have to ask the answer is yes!
why does anyone really need a bra?!
Kohls has great options.
When you can see their nips through their shirts, if other kids start to make fun, or when they are uncomfortable about their body. Different times for different girls.
I started wearing trainers at 12 but didnt start developing until older 13. Either when developing starts or when she feels like it.
Well when my daughter was 7 and the tank top couldn’t keep control what was happening up top.
Don’t forget developing breasts hurt. If she’s having pain some padding of a thin training bra will really help.
Biggest tip, keep her away from biden.
I developed young also! 8. I don’t remember ever having a training bra.
As soon as they have boobies
Sports bra is the way to go. That’s what I wear.
I don’t think it’s a question of age. It’s about development and needing a bra.
Please when they develop
I got one at 7 because I had boobs early
If you question if it’s time, it is LOL
I’m thinking 10? A small training bra
I started wearing a training bra about 7
Sports bra is the ticket for a young r first time bra
2nd grade… she doesn’t wear them every day but on P.E. days she does. She is a little on the fluffy side but not huge
If your daughter is developing breasts at age 6 I would suggest that you have her seen by a paediatrician.
My daughter is 10 and now developing rapidly. She had a girl’s day w lunch and an explanation as to why it was time. She had all day in style type etc she picked some w a thin pad because as we all know when girls are cold they get “perky” she picked it so boys don’t bother her and for warmth. Make it about her.
I have no advice, but I came to say I can’t imagine why everyone assumes that your daughter is overweight just because you asked this question. Everyone develops differently. I started my period at 7.
If she wants a bra, let her have a bra. It may be very important to her. I remember my first bra, I didn’t need one, but all of my friends were wearing one. I didn’t want to be different. Even though it was a training bra. It was very important to me, at the time.
You buy your daughter a training bra when she starts to get little knots on her chest. Lol I know that sounds funny, but as soon as her breast start growing.
6 is okay, we had under Roos when I was a child, make sure it’s kid friendly
If shes on the bigger side then wait until she’s atleast 8 or 9
when she gets her menses
Sounds like you should be more concerned with putting her on a diet. Shes 6… those arent breasts they are fat rolls
Now, before she gets teased
Common sense prevails
Sports bra is the best way tonstart
Training bras are to train the girl, not the girls. Get her one when she asks for one. I developed early. Had a full C cup by age 9. At that point, quality is better than quantity. All of my back pain from my teenage years was from bad bras.
My daughter is 7 going on 8 and she wears training bra
I was on the bigger side, and started wearing a sports bra in elementary, I’d buy her those tank tops that have the bra in them.
Start with a sports bra or tank tops but there’s no right or wrong time.
See what is more comfortable for your daughter.
I just went a bigger size in shirts for a while. Baby fat is not breast buds. No reason to teach her to be self conscious by drawing attention. Patterns on shirts help. Layer tanks. Sports bras if you really feel pressed about it. My kid was 8 when she started to develop actual buds (pediatrician diagnosed) and these were the things I did.
My daughter is on the bigger side too she’s 14 now I think I first got here a bra around 9 or 10.
Started my girls with sports bras then graduated once they developed and got over the feeling embarrassed for wearing them. Of course depends on individual development.
Id say a sports bra to start layering can just be way to hot honestly with a tank top especially under another shirt in the summer i know my mom had started that with me first and I absolutely hated it i was always hot and sweaty so she switched me to sports bras until i was ready for a “real bra”
Get her what she needs no matter the age
If she is on the bigger side at 5 years then just change her diet cus it’s what you’re giving her, and if it’s not baby fat but actual b:tangerine:bs then just start with a sports bra.
My 6 year old wears training ones occasionally. We do it based on the shirt. Because she is a bigger girl and has started developing already. Some shirts aren’t a big deal with no bra but some of them she has to wear one with it. If she doesn’t like the bra then we just do under shirts instead. I let her pick them out. She loves them and has no problem wearing them.
My girls 8 soon to be 9 and wears sports bras she asked me for some so she got some x
My daughter wore these (Gap store) starting at around age 11… they come in XXS -XXL and in a few colors.
My daughter is 7 and is already starting to develop also. I got her sports bras and the beginner bras and she loves them. The beginner bras I got her are more like a sports bra. After I got those her stepmom got her bras with the clasps on the back and she hates those.
Whenever they asked, even now with both of them having rather large chests for 12 and 13 I do not require them to wear a bra, Only if the shirt is thin and anything is visable through it.
Do your own research but I looked up information on it a while back and starting to early can actually cause your breast to sag more due to the bra not letting your muscles develop properly
My daughter won’t have to wear bras. I don’t wear them. Honestly they aren’t necessary and they’re so uncomfortable. Idk why bras are still a thing. They’re useless. So what if someone knows women have nipples!
When I was younger I started wearing them around 6-7 just because I was already developing. My niece now is 7 and came to me about wearing a bra and I told her I would take her shopping when she needs it. In my opinion bras are horrible so why wear them before you have to. I believe when you start developing then you should wear em
I didn’t want to buy my 9 yr old training bras but she already has Little boobs! So I had to. I think I started buying hers last year as well.
I’d wait till she wants to wear one. Bras can be uncomfortable I personally hate them and rarely wear one
My daughter started at 8. She wanted one before but mom is so uncool. But once she started is when we bra shopped.
Mine started at 9 because she was showing through her t shirts. I see people questioning why even wear them… too many sickos in this world and I won’t send my child out to be eye candy for them if I can help it.
My daughter is 7 n wears one w certain shirts (white or the clingy material)
My girls are 9 and I just got them sports bras they are very cute. You can see their boobs a little through their shirt so I knew it was time. The sports bras are very comfortable.
You can’t just throw an age out there, everyone develops differently, if you’re starting to notice development then it may be time for a “training” or sports bra.
I believe once they start developing like your daughter.in my opinion
My oldest daughter is turning 10 next month. She started gettin training bras around 7 I think. Her younger sister is only 5 and flat as a pancake but is already wearing them too cuz she asked and wanted to be like mommy and sissy. So it really just depends I guess. But they both actually like wearing them so I think i lucked out in that department.
Training bra. Sports bras hold too tight, she is still developing. If she doesn’t want a bra they have tank tops with built in bras.
I think whenever she wants one. She might ask at 5, she will probably wear it for about a moment. Or not. Maybe 15, when she probably needed it at 12. Or all natureral
What ever happened to undershirts. A bra at 6 or 9 for a lifetime of held in its just not right. There was freedom in undershirts for those tween years. Good grief!!!
That choice should be yours according to the development of you child another 6 might not need it .
Get her one, there is so many to choose, don’t make it an issue
Don’t buy a bra based on age. Buy it based on breast development.
Get her one and use it to teach modesty.
Start with cami’s then to sports bras.
I got mine at seven she was already developing than
When they start to develope
