I think it’s 6 months.

Oh you’ve opened a world of assholes.

They won’t do it till she’s had her first round of shots. I always did 2 months

My daughter’s were done after her first shots.

Wal-Mart did my daughter’s when she was 2 weeks old.

I think my mom had mine pierced when I was like 6 weeks? I’m not 100% positive though. But please dont take her to the mall or Walmart to get it done. Go to tattoo shop that does piercings. They dont use guns since guns cant be 100% sterilized.

After her first set of immunizations which is usually at 2 months

Depends where you go and where your from. In Ontario Canada at least if you go to Claire’s or somewhere that uses piercing guns they need to be 3 months and have proof of vaccines. If you go to a reputable shop it’s 8 years old.

I just called on this today. I found a doctors office that does it and they require the baby to be 2 months and have their first round of shots.

They have to be 2 months with the first round of shots

Wait until she wants them.

I used to do ear piercing for children…the training manuals said they can be done at any point as early as you want, but it’s recommended you wait until they have their first dtap shot, whi h is usually by 3 months old

Honestly it’s best to wait. You should look into finding a pediatrician or a clean reputable tattoo parlor to take her to.

I beg of you to find a reputable tattoo parlor to do her piercings. Piercings guns used at walmart, claires, drs office, etc are so damaging to the tissues. And those people are not licensed and scarcely trained to pierce.

I got my daughters done when she was around 1 maybe 2. She’s 11 now and doesn’t remember getting them done and recently got a second set pierced.

Depends. Some places say 6 weeks. Others say 3 months.

Honestly wait. Doing it as a baby gives huge risks for chronic ear infections. Wait until she can tell you she wants them done.

I did mine at 3 days :slightly_smiling_face: she didn’t cry at all!! We actually did it at home :slightly_smiling_face: were Mexican so usually we do it as early as possible so the babies feel no pain(: and it’s easier

I did my daughters 5 days before 4 months. They told me 6 months because there ear lobes can drop but she had my ears so I wasnt concerned

Please get them done by a professional. Not at walmart

Thats crazy messed up and really selfish

Wait until she can understand how to breathe in and out when the piercer tells her. Ans make sure to go to an actual PIERCER NOT CLAIRES

Some hospitals can do it while your still recovering. Lots of Latinas do it for traditional reasons.

Wait until she decides…pierce your own ears…

Mine was 2 months old when I had hers done at Claire’s in the mall

My daughters doctor did hers at 2 months. Went great. People are touchy about this stuff but don’t let them sway you!!! If she doesn’t like them she can simply take them out.

I have three daughters and I got their ears pierced after their first shots

Wait until she can decide. I would at least wait until she starts getting her shots if you arent going to let her decide

She has to have her first set of shots anywhere you’ll go they will tell you if the baby has gotten her set of shots I got my baby ears pierced at 8 weeks, and just clean them with a little alcohol after and she should be fine.

My girls were both 5 months old. They needed to have all their vaccines and we did it at Claire’s. Easy Peasy!!

My daughter is 18 months and still doesn’t have her ears pierced, but I was told after their first set of shots is the safest.
And Do not go to Walmart or Clair’s.
Go an actual piercing place or tattoo shop.

Mine have been pierced since I was 3 months old…I’m 34 and never regretted it. LOL

Get them done professionally not with a piercing gun! Please! Look up the risks of using a piercing gun. Those things can NEVER be sanitized

Ew. She’s not a doll for you to play dress up with. Let her decide on her own rather than scarring your child as a baby

Some doctors do it. Both my girls were 8 weeks old when theirs were done. Done by ent specialist.

They say after the first set of shots. Go to a piercer… and all you judgy moms need to stop I’m sure you have all done things others wouldnt agree with.

I took my daughter when she was 2 months old. About 3 days after her shots

Most places make you wait until 3 months but I’d wait and let her decide for herself cause I hated that mine were done before I had the choice

Find someone who will do it WITHOUT A GUN! A piercing gun is terrible for ears; it shoves a solid piece of metal through and pushes everything in the ear aside and can really mess things up. Find a reputable piercer who uses a hollow needle for piercing. The hollow needle takes a small chunk out of the ear to actually make room for the piercing and recovery is soooo much less painful and less likely to close up

My mom got mine done at 2 months I would recommend then she wont remember it. We also got my nieces done at 2 months as well and she loves all of her pretty earrings! Dont listen to all the judgey people you do what you think is right momma!!!

My mom had mine done at 7 months! Don’t worry about anyone’s rude comments, it’s a very common thing to have done as a baby:blush::blush: If they don’t like it, they don’t have to pierce their baby’s ears then

If you are gonna do it please wait until after she gets her first set of shots. I had a nurse come to my home and do my daughters at 3 months . She cried for 2 seconds .

I waited until my daughter was abt 2.
*For everybody saying she’s horrible, or whatever…
Get. Over. It.
Bet y’all are the first ones acreaming about vaccines and breast feeding in public.

3months is when I did it. Never got infected and never touched them. I waited until nap time. She cried a moment took a bottle and went straight to sleep. Never made another fuss, now she’s 15m.

Most latinas pierce them by 2 months. In some parts of south America/mexico they pierce them literally at birth. If you keep up with cleaning I think doing it before they’re 2 months is easier than doing it on a toddler they dont mess with them and eont remember the pain. Though I prefer actual piercers over the one in the mall/walmarts

Otherwise if you choose to do it wait till she’s at least 3 months.

I got my girls ears pierced at 8 weeks so they were healed and didn’t play with them when they got older. Best decision ever!!!

You might have a hard time finding a piercing parlor that will do babies ears. I know mine won’t for a few reasons.

  1. It’s not an easy job to hold a newborn/infant still enough to get them even.
  2. They will most likely get infected.
  3. If the person getting pierced is not old enough to give verbal consent, they will not do it.
But please do not take her to Claire’s or Piercing Pagoda! If you must get them done, take her to a professional with sterile equipment and get real gold or stainless steel jewelry.

Has to have her shots first (that’s what i was told)
Nothing wrong with having their ears pierced. If they don’t want them later on they can take em out! 1 of my 3 has done that

I was told it could be done as early as 3 months. Had my oldest daughters done then. No problem. My son who watched her get it done cried more than she did.

Go to a tattoo shop after the first set of shots. 2 months or so. We did my baby girls and it was the best decision for us.

Holy shit people. It’s an ear piercing. Not a tattoo. If her child decides later she doesn’t want them in. It’s as easy as taking it out.
Y’all act like it’s abusive to pierce your babies ears. I got my daughters done at 2 months old.
My mom got mine done when I was 4 months old.
Each to their own!!!

Go to at tattoo shop so they don’t use a gun, as long as she has her first shots they wont give you any trouble

Imagine not even having the kid yet and already planning to go against her bodily autonomy and cosmetically alter and hurt her. Let her decided if she even wants earrings first and let her make the decision. Piercing an infants earrings can cause a lot of things, infections, staph, MRSA, lopsided holes as she grows, scar tissue.

I decided to never get mine done. I let my daughter decide, she got them done when she was 7. She knew she’d have to help take care of them. She didn’t cry…

I don’t understand the fascination with poking holes in your baby before they’re even old enough to ask for it.

Please dont get them done with a piercing gun! Go to a tattoo shop where they pierce babies and be sure to have her shots done before.

3 months. My pediatrician did it in her office during the same visit we did her 3 month shots.

Tip: to do it the best way it may be a little difficult because guns aren’t good and can be higher risk for infections… so the absolute best place to go would be a tattoo shop where professionals actually use a needle but then again most shops won’t pierce baby’s ears. So hopefully you can find a shop but I would NOT go somewhere that uses guns!!

After first set of shots. I did my daughters then. I think it was 3 months. I give zero fucks what anybody thinks. Wouldn’t do it any different either. Never had any problems. She never messed with them. She is almost 7.

They say after 2m shots. Idk what connection tho.

She needs a certain shot before she can get it done and most doctors give her that between 3-4months

We did my daughter’s at 4 months. She’s 15 now and is so glad we did it when she little. It was easy to keep clean since at that age, they don’t really know they have ears to mess with. She cried maybe 30 seconds.

Please go to a tattoo shop to get it done & do it while you can take care of the piercings so shes not messing with them nor not cleaning them.

If you insist on getting them done, at least 2 months and go to a reputable tattoo shop.

I wish I got my daughters done earlier, she wants her ears pierced so bad. She is now almost 8, we went to have it done- they got as far as the first ear and she then screamed so bad we actually got asked to leave the place. Now she’s mad I didn’t do when she was younger because she wants to wear earrings and it hurts to bad to have them pierced.

I wouldn’t recommend it at all until she can verbally say she wants them done. It’s not fair to force her to get them done before she has a say and risk having it get torn or infected. Most places won’t even pierce and infants ears due to such a high risk in infection. Babies are constantly touching things, putting their hands in their mouths, and then proceed to touch their face-pull on their ears-etc. Overall, it’s just a better idea to wait. I have a 3 month old daughter that I would LOVE to see have her ears pierced, but it’s not right for me to take that choice from her plus risk her an infection that there’s no way she could’ve verbally asked for🤷🏻‍♀️

I hate my mom for piercing mine as a baby, I wish I could have had the experience as a older kid when I wanted to, and went to a actual shop and get even piercings where I want them. Mine from getting them done as a infant, will never close so I can’t just wait and get them redone, which if you get them done as a adult and the piercer messes up, they will close and you can get it done better! I’m so upset about that! So many reasons not to, go buy some bows instead. :weary:

You don’t. You wait until they can ask to get it done. Why cause them unnecessary pain and the possible risk of infection just because they look cute ?
