I’d wait … Just to be safe …
No one knows the effects
Learn the science behind how the vaccine works, how it is made, and what ingredients are in it. MRNA vaccines are not new, they’ve been in development for several decades. They don’t contain the virus at all, and work by using MRNA to instruct cells to produce the protein spikes found on the virus that allow it to attack cells. The body then recognizes these proteins as foreign invaders and produces antibodies to fight them off, building a resistance to the virus in turn.
As far as ingredients go, the vaccines contain fats (lipids), MRNA, glycol, and several alkalizers and acids to stabilize and preserve it.
Read the full list of ingredients here.
Yeah definitely not I took the whooping cough vaccine then my child had a stroke inside me and now has a hole in her brain
I was told by another nurse that somebody went for a mammogram and they were told they had to wait a couple months because the vaccine is causing some changes in the lymph nodes. So we really don’t know what it will do to us. A few months delay could be fatal for a patient with breast CA. The FDA says it is experimental and approved for emergency use only. Is this an emergency?? Meanwhile some drugs are showing better treatment results. And last week I heard on the radio that Israel came up with a drug that not just prevents but cures covid.
They are not supposed to vaccinate pregnant women. It has caused some miscarriages and says clearly on instructions not to. Talk to your doctor and research the exact vaccine first.
Is there a specific reason you need it? Eg front line worker
I’m fully vaxxed at 33 weeks and we’re both fine.
The effects of getting Covid would be worse than any potential effects from the vax. It’s also not so different from other mRNA vaccines. There’s just a lot of woo folks acting like it’s some big scary thing and it’s not.
Covid 19 Vaccine-Evidence Based Group: Pregnancy, Lactation, TTC & Families
Ton of EVIDENCE based stuff in this group regarding it.
Also jfc a lot of you need to realize correlation doesn’t mean causation.
Where are the people with brains like ???
I am 26 weeks pregnant and where I live all our our ICU are crowded with pregnant woman dying of Covid
The benefits far outweigh the risk for me
I got mine last week and very few side effects
Also I was told being pregnant I should get to get the Pfizer vaccine which I did
It’s something you need to speak with your dr about 100%
Risky for a developing baby. It is still experimental.
Depends what the vaccine is for?
I’d definitely wait till after baby comes.
Definitely not a risk I’d be willing to take. Maybe wait until bubs arrives and then go?
I wouldn’t if I was pregnant I haven’t taken it & won’t
I got it. I’m now 14 weeks pregnant. Got my first dose at 9 weeks. So far so good. No issues.
Discuss it with your primary care physician. They will help determine the benefits vs the risks for your situation and background.
My doctor suggested that I wait for now due to the fact that I am at low risk of having complications from getting covid because I don’t have any known underlying health conditions.
Personally, just because the vaccine is so new I was leery of getting it even before I found out I was pregnant. After I found out I was pregnant I decided I would not be getting the vaccine at all. If all it does is lessen symptoms, and doesn’t stop you from getting covid, I don’t think its worth the risk. I don’t feel comfortable putting something in my body that hasn’t been tested long-term. Ever since last year we’ve I made sure to social distance, wear our masks, go out in public only as much as necessary, wash our hands consistently, etc because we had a newborn at home. We are just going to continue living how we have been.
Research and does what’s best for you and your baby. My personal opinion is get it late (3rd trimester) or after the baby is born.
I just got it and I’m 6 months pregnant
35 weeks. I choose to wait for that reason also. Just not willing to risk any issues.
My opinion, wait to after you have the baby
Too many unknowns. In my opinion it’s not worth it at all.
Wait until after your baby is born
I got mine at 14 weeks. I’m 18 weeks now with no issues. It is only AstraZeneca and the J&J that have issues with blood clots. If you get Pfizer or moderna, you should have no problem.
My opinion from things I’ve read, even from a physician who lost her baby 4 days after she got the vaccine…
Nope. I’d wait until after. Get the vaccine afterwards, The antibodies can still be passed to your baby via breast milk. Better safe than sorry.
My cousins have both got the vaccine and they were completely fine. And the baby was born with antibodies and has had nothing wrong at all.
My opinion is no. There’s not enough research or studies out there. There’s no way of knowing. There’s articles which suggest the vaccine affects fertility - should your family not be complete yet, that’s a concern. The vaccine is recommended for those aged 16 years & older… so in my mind, if it’s not recommended for those under 16, what can it do to a baby? This is a controversial topic and more to add. All in all, my opinion is no
It’s not a vaccine, it’s gene therapy.
I really wanted to do it tbh. I didn’t because I don’t have anyone to watch my 3 y/o while I’m at all the extra appointments. I’m glad I didn’t because the J&J even though they took it off the market, there were a lot of women in my age group that had complications with blood clots. Which was already an issue for me when I had my 1st child. I’d be doing the Pfizer vaccine anyways, but I don’t want to risk having pregnancy complications with this pregnancy since this is my last baby. Apparently it passes only the antibodies to the baby because you’re the one receiving the shot not the baby but I can’t risk not being around for my babies!
science has found that when pregnant and breastfeeding moms get the vaccine the fetus/baby develops antibodies so they are also protected. I am way past that stage of life, but if I were a young mom I would wait until after the first trimester (just in case) and have the vaccine then. Remember that getting covid is far riskier than the vaccine–the virus affects every system in the body. You don’t want to be that woman who was perfectly healthy then got covid and they had to do a c section while she was in a coma. Until you get the vaccine please be ultra careful with wearing masks and avoiding any unvaccinated people since your risk is even higher now.
I wouldn’t while pregnant but that’s a personal choice.
Your best bet is to to their websites and read everything you can before deciding.
It’s your body and your child. Don’t let anyone bully you into a decision you don’t want.
Nope. I refuse to get something the government is pushing so hard on people and even going as far as giving out incentives for it. I had to pay this year to get my flu shot but yet they want to pay me $50 for getting it plus every person I bring in on top of free drinks, game tickets, etc…
Nope nope nope.
My ob suggested against it because there hasn’t been enough studies done and some of the ones they’re doing are showing it has negative effects in the long run
I did, my OB approved it. Put aside any political beliefs on either side and it seemed like an easy decision. Science says I’m protected and so is my baby if I get it. All major countries put together funds to create it. It hasn’t been studied very much, but I take calls from people all day long who have lost someone from COVID. I know firsthand the issues it causes and I didn’t want to risk it.
Don’t get vaccinated then. I wouldn’t. Doctors can preach to you all they want but it’s your body
My OB didn’t recommend it and I def don’t either and I work healthcare. Don’t!
I’ve known of several pregnant moms lose their baby after getting the vaccine, and my Dr keeps pushing it. I’m saying no. That’s ultimately your choice, to decide if the potential risk is worth it.
No. The vaccine has has minimal testing done for pregnant women. Get it after your pregnancy if you want it. Another couple of months in hindsight will be fine unvaccinated. We’ve survived the past year
I’m 16 weeks pregnant and will never get it
No way. Wait until after birth x
When Evian Water is delivered straight to hell! Absolutely NOT. There has not been enough testing done; that’s why it’s been labeled “experimental.” Pretty soon we will not have the choice to decline vaccines, for ourselves and for our children. While you still have the right, do not put something in your body while with child that you can’t ever undo. I’d much rather take my chances than live with a decision I wish I could take back in case something did go terribly wrong. Up to you is what it comes down to but that’s just my stance on it.
No way. They just dont know if there is or will be long term issues. Its emergency use not fully approved I barely took tylonel let alone some new vaccine with out the research finished
My friend didn’t get it and opted to wait till she’s done breatfeeding after her baby is born. She just had all her family and close contact friends get vaccinated and stays within her bubble.
I’m not getting the covid vaccine and I absolutely would never get it while pregnant. There aren’t enough studies and it isn’t worth the risks.
If you’re getting other vaccines while pregnant, why not this one? The covid vaccine has been in the making for YEARS. Funding stopped so research stopped, but when covid 19 came around, funding came back. So they went off of what was already done, and that’s why it was “so quick”. It doesn’t mess with your genes. Listen to your gut. Don’t listen to the political side of it (there shouldn’t be one anyway). Listen to your doctor and what you feel is right. If you get it while pregnant, you can pass antibodies to your baby. If you get it while your breastfeeding, same thing.
Absolutely not. So many women are reporting changes and irregularities in their menstrual cycle. It’s way too risky.
No doctor can tell you 100% that wont happen so why?
Nope. My own doctor admits she’s not getting it till it’s out of clinical trial till 2023. I won’t get it and neither will my kids. I’ve worked this whole pandemic and kept my life as normal as possible and we’ve all been fine.
I did and would do it again! I got Moderna in my second trimester. No issues with me or with my baby. I work in healthcare so my risks of getting Covid outweighed any risks of the vaccine… however my OB also recommended it and there is actually more research now due to all the pregnant healthcare workers like myself that have had the vaccine and participated in the v-safe registry. Obviously I’m not telling you what to do and you should make the right choice for yourself but that was just my experience and I listened to my doctor
While I got my covid shots, I would not want to get a shot while I am pregnant, as there is not that much info yet as to effects on embryos …heck they still do not really know how long the shots are even good for…anyways, just my opinion, everyone has one…best wishes on your decision …
I say listen to your instincts. You know as a mom what you should do. No one can make this decision for you. As for me, I’m 38 weeks, I will not ever take the shot or anything else for that matter, bc that’s my choice and I could care less what others think. It’s my body, my choice not yours… Good luck.
Hell to the no Only 7 weeks with my second over here but there’s no way in hell I’d put that shit into my body not knowing how it will affect me or my unborn child. It’s not been out/tested long enough nor has enough data been collected on any of it for me or anyone in my family to get this vaccine, pregnant or not.
I’m 39 weeks today, my ob has suggested getting it, I’m not taking the risk while pregnant. I’m not anti vaccine, but there is no long term information about how it can affect an unborn child. So far we are both healthy without the shot
I was working a job dealing with customers and so many of them refused to wear masks. When I became eligible, I went and got my vaccine. I’ve gotten both doses of Pfizer. The 2nd dose was a doozy the next day, but still not bad. My baby has been unaffected by it and when she’s born I will have her checked for antibodies.
I had covid at 11 weeks got my first shot a month later and my second a month after that I am now 33 weeks and everything is fine … For the record though the possible side effects from covid are pretty bad worse than anything they have seen from the shot covid is much more likely to cause blood clots
No…my go recommended it. My ob didn’t. I went on their advice. I do plan on getting it in the hospital after I give birth.
I got the 1st dose of Moderna before I became pregnant and the 2nd dose shortly after. So far, the tiny human is happy and healthy according to all scans and tests. My Dr said that it was good that I was vaccinated because covid can cause severe issues with pregnancy.
I would say talk with your doctor. I was advised to take it by my high risk ob because I work in health care. Each person and pregnancy is different so always consult your doctor.
I have a blood clotting disorder and refuse to get the covid vaccine. I’m scared it’ll make me clot more.
I’m not understanding how they can say it’s safe Long term when most people just competes their shots a couple months ago. Long term is future meaning Yeats not a couple months. Yea im not a fan. I was all for taking it but once I got pregnant now sitting at about 14weeks, I’m not going to test those waters. Yes things can be normal at first but Long term is uncertain for EVERYONE!
I wouldn’t get vaccinated, period!
Absolutely not and their not going to tell u the truth about it because they don’t know
I think this depends on your circumstances and the probability of adverse effects. I think your doctor who knows your specific risk factors could give you better information to make an informed decision. There are risks either way so why not talk to your Doctor and lay out the probably of those risks either way and go from there. There is no 100% safety guarantee either way.
Talk to your doctor weigh your options then decide
I would she and her baby can get virus so get shots!
My PT who has a doctorate got vaccinated when she was pregnant and is fine. Now her child will be born with antibodies.
il get the shot after birth
Absolutely not. Read the vaccine insert. They have not been tested on pregnant woman. If you’re considering a vaccine please do your research and wait until after you give birth. Read every single vaccine insert. You can find them online and fda.gov and they will tell you not tested on pregnant woman.
Don’t do it, not worth the chance. At least covid has a higher survival rate. I wouldn’t risk the health of your baby on an experimental vaccine.
Well, the vaccine isn’t FDA approved. Kids under 12 aren’t supposed to get it. There are no long term studies. You still have to wear a mask. In my opinion, you shouldn’t get it. Especially not when you’re pregnant.
If you want to keep your baby, I would not get it. There have been so many stories of miscarriages after getting the vaccine.
I know this isn’t actually the same, but 18 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter my Dr was going to prescribe me something. I ended up deciding not to take it and a few years after that it was deemed not safe for pregnant women. My advice is go with your gut feeling of what to do or not to do. There’s so much conflicting info out there, so I wish you the best with whichever you decide.
Wait until you have your baby I’m pregnant I’m not taking the risk but doctors say that the baby will have immunity if you get the shot. Its hard
The way I look at it is if you have to be careful of what you eat & what medications you take while pregnant why take an untested unapproved vax. We’ve already waited a year for the vax to come out I’m sure you can wait until baby is born.
I’m 31 weeks pregnant I asked my midwife and hospital they said there isn’t a lot of research at the moment but pregnant ladies in America are having the vaccine we should only get it if your are high risk of being seriously unwell if you caught COVID.
The doctors where I work advise that you hold off until the third trimester. First because your body may react to it same as when you get other shots (flu, fever, muscle cramps). Those muscle cramps and a high fever can be dangerous during the early stages of a pregnancy. Speak with your doctor and depending on the development of your baby, that is how you should proceed. The vaccine isn’t the problem, the reaction your body has while building antibodies could be the potential risk. Might be TMI, but I had a fever and abdominal cramps that lead to frequent bathroom use. Those cramps are potentially an issue during the early stages. So speak with a doctor
Get antibody test - you may have had covid and not even known it and have natural immunity - so one less thing to worry about
Wait until AFTER you give birth then get the shot if desired. Providing your not breast feeding at the time. Better to be safe than sorry.
Absolutely not! Getting vaccinated with an untested vaccine that does Not have FDA approval, is not something I would consider, pregnant or not.
I got my vaccine I’m 21 weeks tomorrow and got my 2nd dose last Thursday
Think of it this way if they’re only vaccinating 16 and up why in the hell would you put your unborn child through that
Talk to your doctor. But definitely don’t get AZ
Don’t take astrazeneca and you baby is going to get vaccin anyway for all they others think don’t see the problem my boy got 6 more vaccin then they other he got the one for brocoholite when he was a baby is 19 and very fine they don’t give vaccin for nothing if it was not needed that much they would make us pay for it but, it would leave too many poeple outside vaccinnation
I mean they literally tell you not to eat sushi, so I would say hell no. It’s too new. There are women who have miscarried after getting the vaccine. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe not, but we don’t know at this point.
If you don’t have to, no. I’d wait until after I give birth personally.
I would follow doctors advice and get it
It’s been said to be perfectly safe
They said pregnant women shouldn’t get the covid jab as there hasn’t been enough testing on them. I will wait until after I give birth
Then dont. And dont let ppl bully you.
Don’t take the vaccine it’s that simple
I say no. But I’m not getting it and I’m not a “birthing person”.
You said it yourself… you have no idea about the long term effects, so why would you?
talk to your Dr., skip Facebook
I would not if it were me. This is experimental at this point and only approved for emergency use.
I spoke with my specialist and my OB provider. They both recommended the vaccine but I also work healthcare. I got the shot my 20th and 23rd week. We’re both healthy. Only side effects I had with the Pfizer was headache and a sore arm. It’s a personal choice for you and your baby but most definitely speak to your provider.
Ultimately you have to do what makes you feel comfortable. Don’t feel pressured to get it if you’re nervous. The vaccine itself is more for the moms protection. None of the vaccine gets directly to the baby. Just the antibodies that mom makes will pass to baby. Which is only a benefit! Mount Sinai has great info on the vaccine safety during pregnancy and breast feeding.
Many doctors I’ve spoken to about it don’t recommend taking the shot while pregnant but some others say it’s alright but for me I would rather wait until after the baby comes
