Are you sending your kids to in person school this year?

Yes. Any social time is better than absolutely no social time.

So happy a lot are sending kids to school

Yes, my kids school never shut down.

Yep and sheā€™s not wearing a mask either. These kids have been through enough.

As king as crt us not being taught.

Yep. First year of preschool for my little dude

My 9 year old is doing virtual. He is unable to wear a mask all day and our one year old has only 1 1/2 lungs.

Survived it last year.
We re still doing this?
Do whatā€™s best for you and yours

Yes so many kids will be repeating the same grade again just sad

Assuming youā€™re in the us? In the uk we donā€™t have a choice. But itā€™s life going back to normal for us now all being well. All restrictions being lifted

We have no virtual option

Homeschooling again. I wonā€™t force my kiddos to mask up for that long daily.

I didnā€™t send mine last year but we are all vaccinated now so they went to Summer school (to make up some credits they didnā€™t get from remote learning last year) and are going this year.

If complete virtual is an option again this year, my daughter and I agree that she will do that again this year.

Nope, homeschool year 3 already planned.

So far until further notice

Theyā€™re forcing it, here in Texas

Yep sure did. My son started back yesterday.

Back to school nxt week!!:tada::tada::tada::tada::tada: last yr, went full ur, no problems

Mine were in school last year and will be this year also.

In New York there not offering virtual learning this coming school yr

Yup. And heā€™ll be masked up. :mask:

Yes. I gave her a Choice. She wants to go.

Nope. Mine loved virtual. We permanently switched to 100% online school

Yes mine are going. They need socialization. They need normal. They need friends. And recess. And learning.

Hell yes. They need to get out of my space.

If I could choose, no.

No. Homeschooling again. My son has bad allergies that wear down his immune system. Before covid he was sick every week he was in school from fall til spring. Minus school breaks.

Heā€™s staying home until he can get vaccinated at least.

There is a huge difference between home schooling and virtual learningā€¦ you are not a home school teacher if your child is virtually learning with their own teacher. Please dont take away from parents who actually homeschool an teacher their kidsā€¦ its not just turning on an ipad for them.
I do not home school but i personally know parents who do an they put alot into what they do. Parents who do school provided lesson plans with their kids are not home schooling.

Yes! Mine has already had covid (of course they can get it again) only one had symptomsā€¦they are more likely getting infected from us getting gas at the gas station or from the grocery storeā€¦and my kids were hurt more from no school than having the virus itselfā€¦but you do what YOU think Is best and safe for your.littlesā™„ļø

I will be sending my son - he starts secondary school and in my opinion, any day in school is better than none so even if there is another lockdiwn he will have had at least some time in school - kids need that - they need to interact, to grow socially, to learn with others - being isolated is so bad for their mental health and overall development I wouldnā€™t dream of keeping him away unless I absolutely had to

Iā€™m on the fence too since my state made it a law schools can not mandate face mask and my 9 year old has asthma and unable to get vaccinated. I live in a state full of unvaccinated loons so I donā€™t think this will end well. Itā€™s like playing Russian roulette with my childā€™s life and I hate it.

I think every parent and child is different. Do what is best for your children how you see fit. As long as your children are thriving screw what anyone else says!! Your children your business!!Home Scbool is not a bad thing. Some people think itā€™s bad for their social life. I personally disagree. Children go to school to learn! Thatā€™s it!! Social life is for parents to tend to at home imo children whom are homeschooled do just as well as in public schools and a lot of times even better than public school. People say oh well they are around other children thereā€¦ yea and that comes with a lot of bad influences too. Children can socialize with other children outside of school. Their social wellbeing is not at risk just because they are homeschooled.

We have no choice in Chicago unless your kid has medical proof they cannot attend in person.

My son has skipped 3 levels in reading because he maintained in school learning. A lot of children do not thrive in an at home education. Do what you think is best for your kids thatā€™s all that matters.

I am not a teacher. My kids will be going to school to be taught by professionals

My kids never stopped in person except when they had spring break in 2019 and wasnā€™t allowed back bc the schools closed. As soon as they opened my kids went back. They also didnā€™t wear a mask and wonā€™t be this school year and theyā€™re not getting the shot either

absolutely! my daughter went all last year except for one month when we had a short lockdown. Itā€™s important for them to have as much normalcy as possible and my daughter wants to go regardless. However if they try to mandate and force vaccines for school kids that where I draw the line and she will be taken out

Hell yes Iā€™m sending them they went all last year in person as well and without a mask and vaccine

I am. My daughter did OL last year and she hated it. Missed her friends.
My son is starting pre k. So both will be going. They NEED interaction.

Elementary school is what concerns me. And in Broward county, Florida, covid is bad. My girls will be wearing masks and hand sanitizer. Iā€™m nervous af

I am. Itā€™s his senior year and heā€™s fully vaccinated. If he werenā€™t vaccinated, he would not be going in person. Florida is crazy, right now, and masks arenā€™t mandatory in schools in my county.

In my town they had the kids in school full time the whole yr. I kept my kids out because I didnā€™t want them wearing masks. This yr coming they said school will resume with no masks and no social distancing. If anything changes and they want masks again Iā€™m not sure I will keep them in. Itā€™s just not normal and itā€™s not good for them. I am not afraid they will catch it nor are they. My 15 yr old was in an enclosed car for 8 hrs with someone who was positive and even shared a drink with them and she didnā€™t catch it. We take our vitamins and wash our hands and havenā€™t had any issues. Weā€™ve celebrated every holiday and even had a huge wedding indoors and no issues with anyone. I do know lots of people who got it and they said it wasnā€™t any worse than anything theyā€™ve had before. I also know a lady who is 102 and got It and she said it felt like a cold. Not saying itā€™s not real but itā€™s Def not what they have been saying. I donā€™t think many people are gonna tolerate another lockdown which I here might be happening. I work in the medical field, a virus doesnā€™t disappear, there is no cure for any virus and never has been. This is here to stay. I also will never take the shot nor allow my kids or anyone in my family. I just donā€™t trust it. It was made too soon ans there are so many reports or deaths and bad reactions especially teens getting it they are getting myocarditis (inflammation of the heart). No thanks.

Yes maā€™am. My kids went in person all last year except the last 6 weeks due to mandatory school closures. I live in Manitoba canada and our school only had 2 cases the entire school year.

We are sending our oldest. Our youngest is only 4. They donā€™t wear masks and allow them to play and interact. Itā€™s nice. Yes there will be another shut down. Because the people allow it. Here in the south of the USA, weā€™ve resumed per normal.

Nope. Too many fools in this country. Iā€™m doing a tuition based online k to 12 academy. My kids wonā€™t be guinea pigs for Delta

My kids went to school thru this whole thing (except when it was mandatory shut down ofcourse) so yes they will be going backā€¦my husband has been a essential employee the WHOLE time delivering in one of the biggest hot spots oh yea and we also has our 4th child 5 months agoā€‹:smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts: dnt be scared of the plandemic

My son put his kids back in their private school in March. The kids are social distanced in their classrooms. The all wear masks students & faculty. My oldest is vaccinated but his 9 year old brother is not. They will both go back to school wearing masks

Im in uk and our kids have been back on and off since last September

He went back in seat last year as soon as he was able to and hes going back in seat this year.

Mask are optional this year except for the bus, which is only for in the morning, I pick him up After school

Yes, we both have to work and live far from any family to have him homeschool.

My kids went all last year and will this year as well.

My son wonā€™t do homeschooling so heā€™s going

I am still on the fence

Yes here were i live its all full instruction

Yes, and heā€™s going maskless (gasp).

These mfs are going to school :clap:

Yep. They are going back

My baby is going to school.

SEND THEM!!! ā€¦BUT BUT do your homework on online or homeschooling so your ahead of the curve !!! Just be prepared send them and have a game plan on the IFs and unknownā€¦reach out ā€¦ask questions find homeschool groups ā€¦watch and learn gathwr data !!!

HELL YEAH
NO MASK EITHER

time to live life

And many schools forcing kids to wear masks which are not good for kids for that many hours

Thatā€™s besides them trying to shove masks on kids and put em in boxes and shitā€¦no, kids should not be subjected to concentration camp style shit to go to school.

No Iā€™m homeschooling

My kid was in person last year and will be this year as well. And no masks!! Just making sure they get the normal childhood we all had. No reason they need to be a part of all of this. Itā€™s caused enough damage already. And I swear if people start doing the ā€œfirst day ofā€¦ā€ Pictures at the beginning of this year and do it with masks on their kids damn faces again im going to be ill. Freaking weirdos.

Yep! Thereā€™s zero covid here.

Yepā€¦heā€™s going
.life goes onā€¦

Iā€™d home school them to skip the indoctrination

Yes!!! Come get these kids please!

Iā€™m keeping my youngest home, but my oldest will be going back to school now that sheā€™s vaccinated. If you are looking for a place to start, Iā€™ve compiled some resources and saved them in my group

homeschooling with curriculum Ive chosen now for 6 years, I have a 15 yr old 10th grader who is involved in sports and co ops, not missing out on a thing

Public school for us

Just send them and stop living in fear it isnā€™t healthy.

Yes. They start tomorrow.

I wish we could send ours. Two of them did ok with homeschooling last year but one did so badly she had to go to summer school. Sheā€™s hyper and needs face to face. The problem is our school will not send transportation because we live on a very steep hill and for them to get to the nearest bus stop they need to walk down a few back roads that are very narrow and have blind curves. Basically asking for them to get run over. Then once they get to town they have a lot of busy streets to cross before they get there as well. I canā€™t drive them because I have six kids and only a small car. So weā€™re stuck.

Our kids went last year from the beginning of the year (Texas) They go back on the 11th this year. No masks this year either!!

We are not . The cases are soaring right now . Another year of homeschool for us.

yup were in fl. there not gonna be. shut down and they dont need to wear masks :100::100:

Weā€™re doing in school. Online last year was way too much for us

Yep! 5 weeks to go!
Also, they were in person last year except for a month when our province was in lock down. Our kids do better in school then at home.

Yes! My oldest is going to kindergarten!

I wish I had a choice. Especially last year. But my husband and I both worl 1st shift so we would have to hire a teacherā€¦ Just cant afford it. Really hoping they dont have to wear masks again this year though. My daughter was miserable. And it sucks to not be able to fix it and stay home. Shit, we barely make bills being a 2 income familyā€¦

Iā€™m having my son do independent study for kindergarten this year because thereā€™s been more outbreaks where we live and the school isnā€™t going to make the kids wear masks at recess and none of these kids are vaccinatedā€¦ My fiance has a heart condition as well, I just donā€™t want to put anyone at riskā€¦ I feel horrible though because this will be the 2nd year my son doesnā€™t go 2 school and itā€™s only his 2nd yearā€¦

We have been back in person since last year. Masks have just now been mandated again for this year :woman_shrugging:. We are perfectly fine with how theyā€™ve handled everything in our district.

Yes! My kids did not do well with virtual learning at all.

Sending mine back. They did virtual all of last year. I hope things donā€™t get shut down again, but if they do we will just go with it.

There more than likely will not be another shut down because at least 70% are vaccinated. But yes I do plan on sending my 14 year old to school. Itā€™s his 1st year of high school and itā€™s important for their growth to be around peers. Having them at home all the time is dangerous for their development. My almost 2 year old still goes to daycare ad well.

We didnā€™t have a choice but to send them back in person. The district was considering a school for virtual students only but they didnā€™t receive the funding for it so there was no other choice but to send them back in person. Their first day was yesterday .

Yes, heā€™s going.
Send them until they shut down, is my plan. They need socializing and structure to grow.

Did virtual for over a year. Both my boys will be back on campus this school year. They need that socialization and one on one with the teacher. My oldestā€™s grades started to fall being virtual. Masks optional here in Florida.

Both my children attended school last year unless it was mandatory remote learning. I donā€™t know what your Covid numbers are, but we are trying to keep our childrenā€™s lives as normal as possible ( with respecting Covid rules/guidelines). My kids need social interaction with their peers. One of my sons has been fully vaccinated and my youngest doesnā€™t qualify. So we just try to be as careful as we can.

Yep definitely. My oldest son needs that one on one especially since he has ADHD and autism. We tried the whole virtual school all last year, but he just didnā€™t wanna do it and didnā€™t really pay attention. And although, he was in Pre-K last year, he is going to kindergarten this year, so that one on one is going to be helpful for him.

We were in school all last year and back this year. Feel bad for those who are not. We are pretty back to normal. Masks last year but we are all kidding yourselves if you think teens wear them correctlyā€¦lol. no major outbreaksā€¦ but we offer virtual to families with medical concerns. Nearly all who did choose virtual last year are returning this year.

Yes Iā€™m sending them. Even if there is another lock down Id like my kids to be able to socialize and learn in school and be normal for a few months before it all goes to hell again

We done virtual learning last year because of mask being required. This year mask are optional, so heā€™s going to school, if they decide to mandate again, we will go back to virtual learning, he doesnā€™t want to wear a mask so Iā€™m not making him.

We did homeschooling last year. This year they will be going to school. They need that interaction and school setting.

No. We are going with homeschooling or one of the virtual schools. My oldest has health issues and is immune compromised so it is not worth the risk. She did fabulous last year being virtual so we feel this is the best option for our family.

Yes! We did remote learning all last year and the end of the year before and it was HORRIBLE! I have 5 kids ( 3 elementary and 1 going into prek) and they absolutely need to go to school and be taught properly (not by me whoā€™s also chasing todderls) and they desperately need the social interactions as well as I needing my sanity
