My baby was born at 36 and 5 and she was 8lbs 6oz n never went to nicu
No i had 2 kids at 36 weeks and twins at 35 weeks and 5 days no nicu
My son was born at 37 weeks without issues

Iâd assume that only if the child has a need for it. At 37 weeks the baby is viable outside the womb.

Alot of times they will do an amniocentesis prior to induction to ensure development of lungs to avoid nicu

37-38 seems to be the norm i have only known very few to go 40+

All 4 of mine were born at 37, 38, 39 and 40 weeks. And in that order. With the 37 week son I went into labour naturally and he was fine.

It all depends on little ones ling development and any other issues that can happen with any baby thatâs induced

I had preeclampsia and had my daughter at 37 weeks. She had zero complications and zero nicu time. She was a healthy 5 pound 13 oz baby. Breastfeeding came naturally to her. She gained weight regularly and is still in the 30th percentile. Sheâll be 7 in October

My son who is 2 was born at 36.5 and had to go into NICU with low sugar levels but my GD wasnât as well controlled as it was with my daughter that I just had 2 months ago at 37 weeks and she did not have to go to NICU.
Usually 37 week babies donât need NICU. I have 7 kids, and 4 were early (dating as follows)
1- 37weeks
2- 40weeks
3- 41weeks
4- 42weeks
5- 35weeks
6- 37weeks
7- 35weeks
None of my kids needed NICU. Usually babies born after 36 weeks do perfectly fine without NICU and we were able to leave the hospital with our kids within 24 hours of giving birth.

Baby is considered safe from premature birth after 34 weeks hun. Youâll do great :3

They may start you on steroids to help the babys lungs develop just to be sure.

It honestly depends on the baby if theyâre feeding okay and if theyâre breathing good Iâd say no.

My little cousin was a miracle. She was born at 20 weeksâŚin the NICU for about 2 monthsâŚmy parents said she had to wear doll clothes for a while and what was scary about the whole thing was, her vocal cords never fully developed so When she was brought home, my aunt and uncle had to watch her all night long for when she cried because her cry was just a soft whimpering noiseâŚshe is now a healthy 13 year old with a very soft raspy voice! Love her to death!
