37 weeks is considered full gestation!! But I think it will all depends on the health of your baby

Thereâs no guarantee, any baby could potentially need extra help. But my 36 week baby was absolutely fine and needed no extra support whatsoever.

36 weeks here, also have gestational diabetes on my 3rd pregnancy. though iâm on a high risk pregnancy. donât need to take insulin. IM doctors and Dietician gives me meal plan to be followed strictly, but i also have a cheat day once in a while. with proper diet maintain my sugar. I also have a big baby, no NICU.

There are a lot of variables that play into that babys are considered term at 36 weeks but again lots of different variables such as size etc
I had my daughter a month early. I also had diabetes but the doctors checked the babies lung development before my csection

My daughter was perfectly fine at 32 wks, no NICU or oxygen no nothing, my nephew was born at 32 wks was less than 2lbs and was hospitalized for 2 mths, like everything it varies and it will depend on the baby.

My 36 weeker has no problems. He was my earliest but also the only one who didnât need oxygen when he was born. Trust your doctor. 
My son was taken at 38 wks, no NICU time. If baby is healthy no need for NICU. I also had gestational diabetes but was only on glyburide.

Iâve had 3 kids 1st and last born at 37 weeks, both over 8lbs and no problem latching. My middle and only girl was born at 35 weeks she didnât spend 1 min in the NICU. She also had no problem latching but was more susceptible to thrush

38 weeks is actually âstill consideredâ a full term pregnancy. My son was born at 36wks 5 days and he needed NiCU for breathing issues, was only 5lbs, spent just a week and was able to come home. My 2nd child (my oldest daughter) was born at 38 weeks 6 days and she gave me the most problems the whole pregnancy so I figured she would need it but she didnât she was just small. My 3rd child (youngest/last child) was born at 37 weeks. She was my biggest baby and she didnât need anything at all. So just all depends on the baby really. If the doctor is okay with doing it that early but youâre not then speak up and voice your concerns but I think with the given circumstances the doctor is doing what is best for both you and baby. No. The baby should not need the NICU. I have 11 and my last baby was born at 35-36 weeks and needed the NICU due to underdeveloped lungs and he was born at 5lbs 6oz. But he progressed fast and came home in 2 weeks.
37 weeks is considered full term and that is why they can induce you at that time. They try not to without a medical reason because the closer you get to 40 weeks the more developed the lungs are but most babies do just fine at 37 weeks. My 3rd was born at 35 weeks due to complications and we went home 3 days later. She was 4lbs 11oz and I brought her home at 4lbs 1oz. She is now 13 and a lot bigger lol.
Had one at 34, 36 and 38 weeks. None for me. 34 week baby boy my water broke! I was freaked out. His oxygen level was 99%! He was Perfect. I did not smoke at all.

My daughter didnât heed nicu, but unfortunately never was able to latch. I pumped for months. I donât think this is very common though.

My fifth, born at 34 weeks, 4lbs 9oz, he did spend 9 days in the NICU. The Dr did not clear out his airways, and he breathed in the amniotic fluid.
My son was born at 36+5, didnât need NICU, he had to have antibiotics because of my waters going 48 hours before birth. He had to have light treatment for jaundice but that was after we were discharged

No 37weeks its ok to have a baby. They only go to nicu if something is wrong with them.
