Bath, dry really well then apply cornstarch, change often
Try changing diapers. Seventh Generation Diapers are all I could use on both my boys. No diaper rashes after I started using them. They may be brown but that means NO chlorine like regular diapers. Plus I would try Burt’s bees diaper rash creme. Other than that hang in there!
If he is on antibiotics and has diarrhea give him some yogurt and best stuff is Butt Paste . It has zinc and Nystatin to calm any fungus
wash him whenever you change diaper and you won’t need anything. No rash will come. plus see your GP too. sometimes there is some bacterial or fungal infection that we misunderstand as a rash.
Potty train him…too old for diapers
I’ve always sworn by Dollar Tree diaper cream. Works like a charm on my kids, even 7 years ago when my son was a baby and now I have a 1-yr old girl and she’s never had a rash thanks to that cream. No other diaper cream worked for my son and I never used anything else for my daughter.
Change nappies more often, with warm water, no soaps. Pat dry and let air. and change as soon as soiled with poop (poop has a skin altering ph, makes it break down faster!!) use a soothing barrier cream. Bepanthem (pink one) is a great product. Good luck mumma or Puppa.
No Vaseline. Butt balm or ointment. Hope your babe gets better soon, rashes are awful. My boy was very sensitive, we got a script for dr Glick’s butt balm. That was years ago. There’s butt balm available over the counter nowadays.
Vaseline worked with mine, I swear by it. Let the baby air out as much as possible if you can. That should help as well. And just another thought…maybe allergic to the diapers…??
I used Corona. It’s water repellent and has antiseptic to heal the rash. You can buy it at Tractor Supply or Amazon. It says it’s for horses but I’ve used it for over 20 years and it’s awesome!
So you may want to begin with trying a different diaper before all else. My daughter was allergic to pampers and we could only use luvs. Next thing is go to the market or Walmart target wherever and get some corn starch powder in the can maybe a few. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT put any more vaseline or a&d on the baby it will only make it worse!!! Please! Trust me. Keep doing this at each change you will see a difference almost immediately
Destin n cornstarch togther
Sounds weird but put all purpose flour in a pan and cook until a dark brown - almost burnt, let cool and use as a powder.
Ask his pediatrician about an antifungal ointment. My little guy had issues when he was little and that helped clear it right up.
THIS WORKS WELL
MIX EQUAL
PARTS OF MALOX( not flavored)
AQUA FOR
DESITIN
THE MALOX TAKES THE ACID OUT
DESTIN & AQUAPHOR SOOTH THE SKIN. FROM RAINBOW BABIES AND CHILDRENS HOSPITAL
Take away fruit and juices for a few days. Air dry as much as possible.
Brown flour…it is messy but it really works
He’s teething right, it can be bad at that time.
Do not use wipes run bath water over the bottom when they need a diaper change, change frequently, or let them sleep without a diaper put a towel under their bottom. No rubbing just pat it and fry up some flour and dash on it.
It may be a yeast infection. Try MonoStat or another anti fungal cream.
Leave the diapers off and lay them in sunshine/ or in a sunny window area. for a few hours every day if you can…No greasy stuff like Vaseline…they need to be dry as much as possible
Destin… or Butt Paste
Coconut oil will not only heal it quickly but will soothe it immediately
Put cornstarch in his bath water. Let him play awhile pat and air dry
Look for vitacilina Bebe cream does miracles for baby’s bottom .
I made thsi concoction for burns, rashes etc. and it works I have put it on diaper rashes of babies that were blistered. It takes 2 or 3 days but it gives them relie and does dry it up.1. get some cloth diapers. with it being hot lke it is the palstic in those diapers holds in heat… But, get some diaperen cream, zink oxide cream, triple antibotics cream. If you cannot find the zinc oxide cream then use cornstarch. Mix all this together in a clean bowl with a lid. Mix it all really well. Spread on the rash really well. do this everytime you change the baby. If you can let the baby bottom air out or put a cloth diaper on the baby… Keep this medicine in the ice box. It will soothe the burn on the baby or even if you have a rash on you or any of your family this is good for it. Does not have to go jsut for a diaper rash i can for heat rashes, rash from a burn ETC.
It may be a fungus & needs miconazole. Talk to a pharmacists. Great resource!!!
This happened to both of my sons around the same age, the summer heat doesn’t help. My pediatrician told me that maybe it was just time to potty train, because nothing seemed to help. It took a few weeks each, but I’ve successfully trained two boys right before two. When it’s so hot, and the diaper rash is that bad, it was easier to just throw out the diapers. I went crazy trying different brands and different creams and not being able to help it go away.
Calamine lotion. If it is a yeast rash do not use corn starch because it will make it worse. Vaseline does not let it dry.
My granddaughters pediatrician told her to use the Walmart brand of athletes foot cream it worked great
Good luck!
plain diet! Vaseline works best for us. use a wet baby towel or wet paper towel instead of baby wipes. oat bath.
Call the doctor for rx cream and only use damp cloth to clean his bottom not wipes
The only thing that ever works for my daughter that gets them frequently is aquafor and then parents choice diaper rash cream on top. But be careful with boys, a yeast infection can look very different on boys compared to a girl
Sudo cream and vagisil mixed does wonders for both boys and girls
Aquaphor. I swore by it for my kids. It was the only thing that would clear up a diaper rash. It’s like Vaseline but has a much better protection barrier against moisture. Little pricey (it was back 12 years ago anyway) but totally worth it.
I used Vaseline for my kids and grandkids and it worked well
Cornstarch… it helps absorb moisture.
Wipe with a soft wet cloth or water based wipes, the same exact thing has been happening to my son on and off for a couple weeks. Make sure it’s completely dry and then load aquaphor on it
Vaseline traps moisture, it’s making it worse. Use a cream diaper rash products try Aveeno products. soak his but in an oatmeal bath, air dry for a bit then the cream. Definitely take him off of the acidic foods and drinks.
Cornstarch with a thick diaper rash cream used together and go hard with the cream
What you’re using are barrier creams. They help seal wetness from the skin . You need something that’s going to treat the rash he already has.
Personally I use conotrane …its an antiseptic healing cream available otc at the pharmacy…but he may need an antifungal incase its thrush.
Ask the pharmacist to look and maybe change the nappies to bleach free.
Please don’t use Vaseline, it doesn’t allow for the skin to breathe. I always used Desitin and it always cleared it up, also after bath let him air dry some. Don’t use scented baby wipes if the rash is that bad it can burn. I’d just take him to see they Dr. If nothing is working.
if none of the above works but some. Calmoseptine ointment! for diaper rash is a moisture barrier ointment that contains calamine, zinc oxide, menthol, and lanolin.
Dr. Bordeaux is the best
Yeast diaper rash? Maybe google it. My friend’s daughter had it and her poor behind starting bleeding a bit when she wiped it with wipes.
Sometimes he gets yeast use mycelex 7. And i bathe him let him soak and powders and underwear till bed. Hes a tough one.
Corn starch only! It works wonders! If it doeant clear up ask his pediatrician for a prescription of Greer’s goo
Cornstarch worked for my kids… Also did baking soda bath as well and also when did cornstarch would let them air out a little and if they peed then just used a warm wash clothes and dapped not rub and apply more cornstarch. Within a couple days it was cleared up
Your poor little one
Crush is a good cream
Also try some paw paw cream
Also drip some pure aloe Vera plant onto it
Definitely keep bubs nappy off during the day so
The air can dry it up
Cornstarch power is the best thing
Try a powder instead.
Sudocreme and cornstarch or baby powder
I’m a nurse, and I swear by good ole fashioned cornstarch! Stop using wipes and rinse baby’s bottom with lukewarm water and baby soap at diaper changes, pat dry and apply cornstarch, use panties or underwear or let them run bare cheeks. After a day it will be healed up
Air dry the bum and starch before the nappy goes on. We used to let them go around naked when their butts were bad
Aquaphor works like magic
This sounds strange but a doctor prescribed a cream and then the pharmacy told my sister it was equal parts cold cream and liquid antacid. Plus on heavy. The cold cream moisturizes the area and the antacid neutralize the acid. Works great.
One thing I always did when changing my kids was to always blot dry with a tissue after using wipes and then a little Desitin. Most people use wipes and then diaper but the wipes ate moist and unless you make it a rule to blot dry, that moisture stays with them, causing a rash. Hope this helps.
Food allergies can cause diaper rashes so can too much acetic foods loke orange juice and tomato products. He could also have a yeast infection for that rub plain yogurt on it. Take him to the doctor to figure out the cause and best treatment.
Do not a&d you are trapping it and keeping it from healing. Use a butt paste that will actually leave a thick layer on the skin so when you clean her or him up you are not actually wiping it all off
Don’t use Vaseline. Use bordeaux’s butt paste. Let him be without a diaper for a little while between each diaper change. Dry it out a little.
I always used corn starch on my sons diaper rash. It worked
It might be cutting molar teeth they cause it a lot my sons bottom was bleeding . Doctors said his teeth and as much as possible let air to get to it
Thrush cream mixed half half with qv qnd sudocrem on top as a barrier
Ihles paste, or anything with 29% zinc
Cornstarch no joke. Use it as a powder or make a past with a little water. Its all I used with all 3 of my boys. My oldest had such sensitive skin he would get bleeding diaper rashes from any diapers except Luvs or Pampers.
The wipes you use could be causing it also. I had to switch from a scented kind of pampers to sensitive skin pampers and my girl stopped getting them all together. And I swear by triple paste ointment. You can get it from Walmart. I’d put it on her bum at night and by morning it would be gone without a trace.
Noodle and boo works amazing! It’s a little pricey but the balm and rash ointment work wonders.
I always do baking soda in the tub! I feel like putting any type of ointment on before a bath would defeat the purpose, or act like a shield I guess if that makes sense! Diaper rashes are awful! Good luck!
Good warm baking soda bath will clear it up in 1 day!
Also a thought could be the brand of diapers? May be irritating his skin too
Mix cornstarch w Vaseline! It works wonders on my two kiddos!
Go to Walmart and get the following, no substitutions:
Neosporin/triple antibiotic
Clotrimazole foot fungus cream (do NOT use Tinactin)
Plain desitin, not creamy or medicated
Mix them together in equal parts.
Clean and dry the diaper area.
Apply a THIN layer to one finger width outside of the affected area.
Clean and reapply at bedtime and then once more in the morning.
Almost any rash will be cleared up in a day, no matter how bad it is.
I spent a while formulating this and trying variations until I got it right, and the pediatrician liked it so much she called it into the pharmacy to mix it for me.
Buy it yourself in generics and it costs about $15.
If the kid gets frequent rashes, do this each night for prevention.
A thick layer does more harm than good, spread it thin.
A&d and cornstarch powder
My mother inlaw always said browned cornstarch.
Baking soda bath and make homemade wipes with baking soda and water.
Let them be naked for a little while. Like 2hrs a day. Use a wet wash cloth to clean them. Also, more water. High sugar or high acidic food can cause rashes
Take him to the doctor. They will prescribe nystatin.
I love using corn start and it feels so nice to him
My son had that problem and the Pediatrician told me absolutely no disposable diapers or plastic pants. His cloth diapers were rinsed in vinegar and hung in the sun to dry. He would clear up during the day, had a BM during the night and we started all over again in the morning. I used Vaseline and corn starch on his bottom. As an adult, he has excema on other parts of his body.
Corn starch on his rash
Wipes burn like crazy on irritated skin. Make your own wipes. Wet paper towels work great
Coconut oil worked best for my little one
Baking soda in a warm bath works wonders for any type of skin irritation, including diaper rash. Our pediatrician recommended it, and it works wonders.
If you can either let him be without a diaper for a while and when he does wear one put on a looser fitting diaper - so nothing is rubbing against that area
Destin diaper rash cream
Have you talked to his doctor? He may have an allergy to something that is causing the rash. My daughter did = but it has been almost 60 years and I can’t remember what she was allergic to - but had to get something prescribed - did the trick.
Destination paste after a baking soda bath
Changing him WHEN he gets wet! Don’t let him sit in the Ammonia! The Dryer the better! Is he ALLERGIC to what he’s eating or drinking! What goes in, HAS TO COME OUT! Try NOT to WIPE his already RAW REAR! Wash him off in the tub w/ Baby shampoo (no burning)! Let him air dry, THEN put the diaper cream/meds on him! By putting Vaseline on his raw burned butt, it’s holding the moisture in! If it’s that bad & NOT getting better, a Drs. Prescription will clear it up!
Wipe with water n cloth i knowww those wipes burn their lil butts
I swear by this 100%
vaseline does nothing, the stuff with fish oil works great
No diaper or cloth diaper
Sudocrem worked amazing for my kids
Bathe him and let him run naked. The fresh air will help. Once he’s dry and been diaper free for awhile slap some ointment on it and then his diaper. You’ll want to change him much more frequently bc of it bc you don’t want any moisture on it other than the ointment.
Try butt paste! It works wonders and reduces the rash significantly after one application.
Corn starch dab it on with cotton after every diaper change!! My grandmother told me this when my kids were babies
Burnt flour I didn’t believe it either
Aquaphor works great on my granddaughter. She gets horrible diaper rash with teething.
when my daughter had a bad diaper rash, i put eczema cream and diaper rash cream and it helped clear it up quickly
