Live alone? Had any company before you went on vacation? If so ask them if anyone wears or uses Bobby pins for anything. If not plant hidden cameras and stay aware lock doors. Don’t put your guard down. Notify police of suspicious activity tell them your plan and for them to have advanced notice in case anything happens. Plan ahead maybe have a few Baseball bats hidden in case for self defense and try to relax but don’t let guard down. Try not to stress. Also look around your house inside and out see if anything is missing or misplaced.

I would calmly ask him. Does he have friends with kids? Maybe it feel out of one of his friends kids hair while you were gone. I wouldn’t over react but i would ask, that is if you really want to know. Or just ask who ask came over while you were gone. If he doesn’t mention anyone who it could of came from then i would reveal the bobby pin and say hey then who does this belong too? If he stumbles on his words or tries to say out yeah so and so was here too, then he’s probably lying to you
