Man there’s alot of judgemental fucking cunts on this thread…y’all don’t know what she does or what she doesn’t do the pregnancy could have been a surprise or it could not of been and who gives a fuck if it’s not about nails maybe she doesn’t have anywhere else to ask the question she asked…y’all don’t like it keep fucking scrolling …I smoked weed with both my pregnancies because it was the only way I could eat throughout both my pregnancies all 9 months I couldn’t keep anything down no matter what it was I was puking all day every single day even after trying every single dr approved medicine for nausea and vomiting NOTHING and I mean absolutely NOTHING worked except for cannabis I made sure to tell my Dr and he told me if that is the only thing that is helping then do it …and no I wasn’t sitting there getting baked off my ass I would take a couple puffs from my bowl didn’t use blunt wraps didn’t use joint papers only from my bowl and I was able to eat I was able to stuff my face and actually keep the food down and I guarantee that was the only way they were getting any kind of nutrition was if I smoked a tiny bowl then I could eat till my heart’s content and keep it down without automatically having to go throw it right back up … and guess what BOTH of my kids were completely healthy not one thing wrong they didn’t have low birth weight no birth defects or anything else and now both of my children are straight A students …my oldest who is now 15 is a very talented artist and my son who is 11 is so freaking smart it amazes me…so for all you judgemental cunts how bout you shut the fuck up pull the stick out of your ass and remove yourself from this page …and if she is on other drugs than yes she should quit and get help…I’ve had many friends who were drug addicts and watched them get clean and it looked to be like one of the most painful both mentally and physically hardest things to do and overcome but it is possible… but none of us know what this woman is doing or not doing or if she’s a drug addict or not she could be homeless living on the street or rich living in a mansion we don’t know her and we don’t know her life or how she lives it so instead of judging and writing mean comments and attacking her saying she should have her kids taken away and all the other fucked up shit some of y’all have said why don’t you either keep your mouth shut or help with suggestions or whatever…what happened to women building other women up and standing together and when one woman’s crown slips we help straighten it not make it worse …rant over!!!
In Colorado they test cord blood at birth.
In my pregnancy,they didn’t really tell me if they were going to test for drugs,but they ask you if you use any type and of course it’s better to be honest for the sake of the baby.

In Ohio if they do they don’t tell you. But some hospitals test the baby as soon as they are born and they will have cps come in the next day to speak to you AND will do a home interview before closing or keeping the case open.
It honestly depends on the doctors office your are with some do some dont …

depends on the clinic and the physician’s practice. some do, some don’t, some have to, some don’t have to. I never was. it’s typically in the paperwork you sign when you come in as a new patient. but if they do any and all results will be on your medical record which you have access to

No they do not drug test at baby appointments! They only test the baby when born an can’t test for weed in the baby because smoke goes to the outer edge of placenta…
Instead of slating the girl just answer the question and try to be supportive it may be an unexpected surprise she has to now deal with aswell as the fact she liked to party who knows she may need to declare it for the good health of the child and who may well be the best mum in the future given chance and encouragement.

So since I had this same question because… I used THC!! Nothing else!! Depending on the state you’re in I guess. I’m in Colorado, I had no problems no upon delivery or after.
I remember always kinda freaking out when I had to pee which was every appt 
because I was scared what people thought. I could give 2 frying potatoes what people thought of my THC use instead of pills.
Anything else though would be more alarming & would cause calling child protective services, again depending on the state you’re in.

She just found out she’s pregnant people. She asking a question and no body knows if she’s planning on getting sober. Being an addict doesn’t automatically mean she’s a bad person. It means she made a bad choice. We’ve all made bad choices in our lives. I’m sure she knows that drugs use during pregnancy is a catastrophically bad thing for the baby and herself. A simple question deserves a simple answer and maybe just maybe some positive reinforcement and support could help this unborn child more than negative judgement. Some places test yes it depends on system they are with and some test when the insurance is Medicaid as poverty is a risk factor in general…

The Obstetrics are collecting urine samples every time to ensure you don’t have a uti. They do however drug test you at time of birth. Marijuana isn’t usually a big deal tho. Depending on where you live.

They don’t drug test but when they take ur blood the test for it I smoked during my 1st an 2nd trimester an it came up they said they want it to be nevitive by the time I deliver
You can opt out on anything!! It’s YOUR BODY remember that, tell them you’re having a natural birth and opt out of peeing in cups, blood tests, cervical checks ect.

They do test for all and if they find whatever drug in test , than they will also test baby when born and if whatever drug comes out in baby they will involve dcfs . Than that will be a long messed up journey .

In the beginning and towards the end & if you come up positive they’ll test you throughout your pregnancy. I smoke(mj) when im not pregnant or breastfeeding and that’s how I know im pregnant before missing my period bc it’ll make me feel funny/weird & the smell is unpleasant all of a sudden. Anyways when I go to my 1st appointment they take blood and it comes up positive for weed. Im assuming they do it for all drugs but for sure for weed. None of my doctors say anything but then again soon as that happens I stop smoking incase I am pregnant n I usually am. They really don’t care as long as you stop or at least stop by the 3rd trimester bc they’ll test you and baby when it’s born and then who knows what they do… Some get in trouble w/cps & some don’t do anything. Just talk to your doctor if you want to continue smoking. If they have a problem with it they ALWAYS give you time to clean up…
Yes they do, but I’m not being funny if you want to do drugs and are concerned about getting caught out through drug tests perhaps having a baby is not the best, if you were in the uk and found to have drugs in your system and were found to be using drugs you would loose your child to social services. You can’t think much of your child if you can pump the poor bubba with drugs.
They tested me at a few appointments and then in the hospital. I think they test for everything. If it’s weed, they usually try to open a DCF case but if it’s in a state where it’s legalized you can fight it.

Yes they do and if you fail it CPS and a social worker will be meeting you when you deliver. It happened to my ex’s older sister and cousin. We live in Sacramento Ca. If smoking is more important to you than your babies health just do t have a baby. Abortions are a thing for a reason.

Wow seriously you even need to ask that question how could you put your own needs before the needs of an innocent child do you want to see that child come out struggling because you chose the do drugs how selfish of you you really might want to reconsider that child has done nothing to deserve to be treated the way that you are treating it by doing drugs and I’m assuming that you are otherwise you wouldn’t be asking like the other lady said if the drugs are more important you should have never gotten pregnant next time I would suggest that you used protection if you choose drugs over an innocent baby

Depends, I was never tested during pregnancy & at birth, the lactation consultant changed my son’s first diaper & threw it away y’all can judge, I really don’t care but all I’ve ever done is weed so I just didn’t smoke the mornings if appointments & I guess just never suspected me

I’ve had 4 in Texas and they tested throughout pregnancy with each and at birth. Never had a reason to be tested either. Depends on the doctor. I pray you don’t do any drugs while you are pregnant.

Every health care facility and provider are different. With all 4 of my pregnancies I was drug tested for first prenatal labs. Never tested after that. I don’t do drugs and never have. Prayers for you to get clean and be healed of any addiction.
Anytime they do blood work in PA they test for drugs. It’s routine but every state is different. Speak to your ob and be honest with them. The only thing they can’t hold against you is if you have a medical marijuana card. Do your best to get help and stay clean for that babies sake.

When u have the baby they test the baby’s blood. Be honest cuz they will know if you’re lying. Best possible senerio is to be up front that way you and your baby’s health are put first

Yes they do drug test. But if you just found out your pregnant, just quit. Depending on the drug you will be fine. If its weed, just stop smoking it. Be honest with your doc though. If its something stronger like crack or coke then please get help. Your baby is worth more then any drug out there. As long as your seeking help and are trying you will succeed and you will get the help you need. Your doc will jot judge you unless you keep using. I smoked weed before I knew I was pregnant as soon as I found out with this baby i quit. It not worth having DCF all up in your business.

They don’t in NH unless u say your into heavy drugs or they know you are…and baby at birth is your a hard users of drugs pot that’s pretty minor in there eyes even Tho you shoudent even do that well prego
