My 10 and 12 year old help out with weedeating and mowing. Just make sure they have goggles and pants on… with real shoes!! Never to early to learn but be safe
I was splitting wood by 12. And hauling 50 lb rocks Kids need chores. It’s their job for being part of a family.
Absolutely children should do chores. Kids today are lazy.
No it is not bad that he has the girls do yard work. I will teach them work ethics.
Weed eating for a young child is not safe–will they wear protective eyeglasses?
They’re old enough to be helping, IMO, as long as they get breaks and drink enough water and are allowed to stop if they complain of pain.
I had my own mowing business at 10 years old, no if he is right there with them.
Goes to responsibility of growing into a responsible adult
When they just do it without being told or asked then maybe they wont loose their phones? Honestly at those ages I have never understood why they have phones
It’d be wrong if you didn’t make them do chores. Is this a serious question?
Children who learn to work will be successful adults. Your husband is doing the right thing.
Its parents like you why we have lazy and irresponsible children and young adults
If you don’t start them young, they will not have a good work ethic when they are older. My husband was driving tractors on the farm at 9 years old.
He is building them a good character, and nothing is wrong with them doing yard work
We girls did it when we were kids
They will grow in responsibility for this, be less dependent on others.
If you don’t teach them to work and be responsible when they are young they will suck the system dry because they don’t want to work
The kids may not like it now but years down the road they will be thankful their Dad is the one that taught them Work Ethic
Yes and they should be glad they aren’t using clippers and old push mower!
He’s showing them hard work and there is nothing wrong with that!
My daughter was making her bed and washing dishes when she was 5 years.
Nothing wrong. Need to train our kids. Right way
He is 100% right that’s the problems with some of our youth nowadays they get everything handed to him showing responsibility at a young age they grow up to be good adults
He’s teaching them the right way. My kids did this and they were not lazy.
I think it’s a wonderful learning experience. Time to share the work as well as the good times.
When I was a kid I used to mow.
You should be proud of your husband! Why shouldn’t they do this?
They will know what responsibility is. And you should be proud of them.
Work is good for your kids it teaches them responsibility. Work never killed anyone . But lack of it will.make them lazy !
we had chores to do - wash dishes, mow the lawn, sweep dry the dishes clean our rooms vacuum the living room AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT ???
Not at all for the 13 year old.
I don’t get these posts is this written by anyone like Anonymous or what not cause this makes no sense
Those two girls will have a work ethic that employers will fight for .
Definitely, who paid for their cell phone and tablet
Good on dad They’re all helping you You sound like you have alot on your hands Let them take some weight off of you
Does not hurt them. Girls need to learn these skills too.
You should be thankful that you have a good husband and children that can help you
Perfectly good no matter what’s up with dad
I think it is great good work dad and girls!!! Mom should be proud .
They are learning valuable skills including caring for others
Most definitely,OK! Good for him and the kids.
Don’t worry they’ll be fine…your husband knows what’s best for them also. Give him a big hug…
Good life skills it builds good character! Then the phones!!!’
Never too young to do chores especially if properly taught
My grandson mowed but in the process broke my lawn mower. End of story
Way to be a dad ! I think this is awesome!
I think it’s GREAT! Our 11 year old mows.
They have to learn
How to do things and help out .
Teach kids how to do everything that needs to be done!
Hard work is good for them.
Good training and safety supervision is good too
Dad is doing the right thing.
Teaches good work ethic!
I think it’s a good idea for everyone to help
Awesome Dad teaching the kids responsibility… thanks for sharing Mom…you also need help…kids doing house work…yes:pray:
I did as a kid,it didn’t hurt me none.
Not too young!! Also gives them the reward of taking responsibility and knowing accomplishments!!
No they need to learn these lessons .Good husband support him ,he is doing them good
Never hurts kids to help!
Good for dad! Teaching them responsibility, life skills and cooperation.
i have my great grandson he’s 8 and does it
Kudos to your husband, for sure he is teaching them a good lesson, responsibility before leasure
Nope there better off learning how!!
all kids should learn this kind of stuff!
Guessing this lady had a maid.
keep an eye on them they should be fine
No it’s is good for them to learn what work is
I did. It’s good to let them learn.
Absolutely, it is good for them.
It will be good for them. They are more than capable
That is how they learn responsibility.
There is nothing wrong with that
Hun… if you have or feel the need to ask such a question. Then you are part of the problem of the issue of today’s youth.
Nothing wrong with that at all.
No it’ll do them good to help around the house
I’d watch the eating of weeds though….
You go dad. Nothing wrong with kids doing yard work
He right.they won’t end up sorry and lazy.he is absolutely right
Keep up the good work Dad.
Teach I’m right…its called work
They should do it they live there
Thanks for parents who teach children.
I’m teaching my 7 year old daughter to mow. What’s the problem? Supervision is required, of course, and a kid that age can only do it for a little while, but it sounds perfectly normal to me.
It most certainly is.
You over acting, they need to learn to jow to do this thing It also builds character , responsibility and confidence. Thank your husband, he doing a great job
You’re doing the right thing.
You should be ashamed of your self for even questioning your husband .
Absolutely not!!! I was doing those same type of chores at that age, and younger!! This is why we have now 2 generations of lazy, depressed, entitled, triggered snowflakes expecting a trophy for mowing the lawn. Give me a break!!
You should be thanking him and your kids
Are you kidding me??? Never to young to start!
It’s wonderful! A skill you will be happy to know they have in their 20’s. It builds character. Stop over reacting. Be a proud mom!
Yes, they need all skills.
I mowed at 6 and did weed eating by 9
Is this a serious question??
They are old enough. Train them in safety.
They should be doing alot more. Stop raising whimps
As long as they were supervised and safe, I think it’s fine. I worked at those ages. In many societies, kids do whatever they are able, as young as they are able. They feel like they’re part of things. Since this is a job you would have paid someone to do, they should get paid, too, commensurate with the quality of the work.
Not it young at all. Our kids we mowing cooking and doing laundry by 10 they are fully capable of a lot.
Why ask? Dont put your business on fb. It’s not chid abuse it’s good parenting. And it’s no ones business. Your inviting trouble into your life if someone does not agree.
It won’t hurt them, teaches them responsibility, having children do chores is a good thing.
