When both are over 18, age difference doesn’t really matter. But in this situation she is an adult, he still a minor. She is probably gonna wanna do adult things that minors shouldn’t do. Just my opinion.

I was 18 dating a 16 year old when I became pregnant. I don’t think it’s a huge deal. Mentally their going to be close to the same for maturity. I had my first son when I was 19 then and his dad turned 17. I don’t see a problem with it. Now if it was a 15 year old and like 21 year old that’s a bit different. If they’re both mature then I say let them be together.

Meet her if you want. Do they go to school together? If so, I wouldnt have a problem with it. When I was 15 I was in classes with 18-20 year olds. There is a romeo and juliet law to protect people like that. She isnt 18 yet and if they go to school it wouldnt be a big deal. It’d be a different story if they didnt and she was in college now or something. Anyway, make sure you look up your state laws too and inform them of those risks. Even if it’s legal someone can still be an ass and cause problems. My friend ended up becoming a registered sex offender because he was 18 and she was 16 but they had been dating for 2 years and been in art class together for years. Someone reported them and he went to jail for no reason. It was probably because of the shitty justice system but still. That should be brought up to them too.

As long as she’s nice, respectful and she makes him happy, I don’t see the issue. It’s not like she’s 25. As far as I see…she’s still a kid. A teenager. Just have a talk with him. Make sure he knows NOT to get her pregnant!! At 15, his hormones are probably going wild and he needs to make sure he’s responsible in the relationship. Tell him if she gets knocked up…that’s a lot of years of saying bye bye to a good chunk of his paycheck later!

Ok. As a mom of a 15yr old boy, I would probably be freaked out. BUT…I have a very close family member who dated an older woman…when he was about 17, she was already in her 20’s…mid20’s if I’m not mistaken. They hid it from the extended family but had the support of their immediate family…his mother. They have been together for about 13 yrs. Have a great son. They are happy. Successful. Doing great. You can see the love radiating off of them both. They are great together. Soul mates. A perfect match. So I guess you have to just read each situation as it comes. Could be the best thing that ever happens for the kid

It varies state to state on specifics, but generally a child between the ages of 12 and 17 can legally have sexual relations with anyone as long as it’s no more than 3 years older than them (4 years in some states). People would be calling him pervert and a child molester. Because if it’s 18 year old dates a 15 year old like I said people see it’s disgusting. Her being 18 makes her an adult. When she turns 18. He is still a minor. That can lead to serious charges. Even consensual sex can be considered statutory rape.

A few years isn’t a problem when he’s older, but when she’s 18, she could be accused of rape, especially if the relationship falls apart. (which it likely will) If she’s still interested when he turns 18, and he hasn’t found the next love of his life, they can resume their relationship. Of course getting a 15 year old to listen and take advice is the biggest challenge of all!
