I didn’t take medicine…but I did take a supplement to get my periods going…it was called vitex, $7 at Wally world (Walmart) had my rainbow baby be girl after that…had one miscarriage but now pregnant with my second child due anytime now

My husband and I tried for 3 years. Finally did IUI, didn’t take with the first one and the second one gave us our son! Pregnancy was awful, birth was “easy”(no complications) and my son came out healthy! I would find a fertility doctor, even just to get some insight!

I have pcos & am expecting baby #5. After having my 1st when he was 3 found out I had pcos & a cyst that was 10cms hard to get surgery to remove it lost 75% of my left tube and my ovary has 50% damage to it I don’t ovulate on my right side and finally after 6 years for 2 months took prenatals and folic acid and got twins. Then after that they kinda just happened! I wish you luck girl try prenatals and folic acid & track your ovulation! :clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2:

Please avoid taking metfomin right now. It has been linked to cases of cancer lately.

I have PCOS, carried and birthed two full term babies.

I lost 165 pounds got pregnant with one tube and one ovary I lost due to cancer… please read the current studies on metformin Drs had me on it to regulate my hormones at my heaviest I contracted ovarian and cervical cancer twice while on metformin I can’t prove the metformin caused my cancer but it’s to be of a coincidence to over look

It took me and my boyfriend 10 months with no help. I had a healthy baby girl.

I’ve had two healthy babies with Pcos, although I did have to see a fertility specialist for both pregnancies, metformin with letrozole, and hcg cycles for both of them and pregnant withing 6 months of starting the cycles

I was on metformin and clomid. I had two of my 4 kids while on that. The other 2 kids just happened on their own.

Lost weight. That helps.

So I was told at 16 to have a hysterectomy because of PCOS, but last year I did the keto diet for 2 months, lost like 30 lbs, started a really good prenatal vitamin and was pregnant almost right away, my doctor said the low carb diet and weightloss helped plus the prenatal

There are many types of PCOS. Seek advice from a medical professional to get to the bottom of your illness.
Best of luck!

My oldest I had no issues second son 3 years later got pregnant on clomid and few months no problems getting pregnant but NOW 4 almost 5 years later no luck.
Not sure why but just a sign I take it because I also dont have periods for months at a time

ETA: I was on metformin for a while but decided to stop taking it and just get healthy because of how many trips I was making to the bathroom a day. Horrible side effect.

Look into soy isoflavones… ask your Dr first

A hormone to start my period then Clomid worked for me

I lost 100 lbs and wasn’t trying and found out I was pregnant. I had a healthy pregnancy and now I have a 3 month old healthy babygirl

Lost 50lbs and was on metformin and clomid

Yes I have pcos and half of my right fallopian tube taken out. Took me 13 yrs to have my first child… excercise and then getting my period regular again helped me!

Join the group called PCOS diet support & 30 day challenge. Im in it. We eliminate sugar dairy & gluten. I drink spearmint tea & take inositol. Many women have lost weight & gotten pregnant. I went from 195lbs to 179lbs & started ovulating.

Had one son at 18. Took me until I was 29 to have my second son after I joined a weight loss program at my gym and lost 68lbs in 3 months.

I think it really is about what you eat and finding the right balance for your body. Good luck

I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 14, was told I would never conceive. I now have 4 beautiful healthy children!!!

I have pcos as well and both times I got pregnant was when I lost weight, gave up trying, and was put on a medication called metformin. It’s for diabetes and used for pcos. I’m not diabetic either.

I have PCOS. I was diagnosed at 11. I naturally got pregnant twice with no dieting, medication, etc. just by not stressing and having fun. My daughter is 1 and I’m pregnant now. I had gestational diabetes but that could happen to anyone. Other than that had 1 totally normal pregnancy and have so far with this one too

I have pcos and was told I’d never have kids.
Ive got 6.
A lot of people on my keto groups do keto because of pcos

I tried for 4 years gave up and the got my son…healthy all the way around

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. I was truly lucky that with PCOS I was able to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. My heart goes out to all those struggling.

Supplements that balance blood sugar and hormones and provide fully methylated and easily absorbed nutrients that we lack from food alone. I don’t personally have PCOS but I have several friends that have benefited from Plexus. Not trying to sell it personally here…find someone you know that can help you get started.

Pcos and currently pregnant with my second. Both were conceived after some diet changes and weight loss.

I tried 2 years. 1 with fertility treatments.

Finally our last round we got pregnant.
I had to do the following: 2 months of keto and healthy eating, provera(to get a period) femara high dose(to ovulate) a steroid( to help egg growth) ovidrell( to help kick boost ovulation) and an iui. After getting our positive I had to do 12 weeks of progesterone suppositories.

I was super sick 7 months, high risk my last couple months due to iugr and low fluid. Delivered a little early because of low fluid.

Healthy baby, smooth delivery for the most part.

Keto kind of resets your hormones when you have pcos, as sugar is the main killer.

It took my cousin years to conceive with PCOS

Oh man 5 years of loses over and over again then now I have four kids lots of praying honestly

Healthy diet, folic acid ,omega 3 b12 and b6.

Crystal Koch maybe you can give some advice

I had pcos since I was 16 and had a beautiful little girl. Do you have regular periods? I went through all this and know how hard it can be

I have PCOS and have had ZERO issues getting pregnant. I actually got pregnant 3x in the last 3 years on various BC

Ovulation tests, ttc lube leave it in for 15 minutes before dtd, maca root capsules & milk thistle tea to balance hormones, get a monthly app to track period and ovulation time and relax and enjoy the journey of making the baby.Stress is not your friend here so take your time get a massage ,do yoga and zen out if thats you but most importantly remember to love eachother and love the love you are about to create even if it takes a year or more.It is not unusual for a normal healthy couple to take a year to 2 years

Diagnosed with PCOS at 15. Two perfectly healthy baby boys now.

One thing about clomid that they don’t tell you is that it increases your chances of an ectopic pregnancy.

We tried for three years, tried clomid, got pregnant and it ended up being ectopic. It broke me.

Got pregnant without help a couple of months later. Was on metformin when I got pregnant and stayed on it during pregnancy.

Found out I was pregnant again a week after my rainbow baby turned 1. No help that time either and was also not on metformin. Stayed off of it the whole pregnancy.

Anyone is more than welcome to message me for more details or just for someone to listen to them :blue_heart:

I just had my second baby and I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2016. My dr prescribed me metformin and I got pregnant naturally. Both pregnancies were healthy and deliveries were just fine! I tried for 2 years with my first and a year with my second (my sons are 20 months apart- 20 months old and 2 weeks old) to get pregnant all I really did was watch my diet and since I never knew when I ovulated (I had 50-60 day cycles) I tested my ovulation every single day until I got a positive and was having sex at least twice a week. Good luck on your ttc journey! :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

Ive had pcos for many years, diagnosed in 2006. I have had 2 miscarriages and 2 healthy deliveries. It went every other pregnancy, so… loss, healthy, loss, healthy. The only way I personally have been able to get pregnant is to lose a bunch of weight (even if I was a healthy weight to begin with) It was 7 years between my last miscarriage and my youngest baby, so it can be tough, but it can also be done. My cysts are inside my ovaries, blocking ovulation and causing my ovaries to swell, making it a risk for my ovaries to rupture from the pressure. My mother and sister also have ovarian cysts, but they are on the outside and they had no issues with infertility/swelling/rupture risk, but I know everyone is different. I had both of my babies without any help from hormones or treatments, but I know many women who have pcos do need help, and it’s not something you should be ashamed of if you ask your doctor for help with it.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 21 tried with fertility drugs but it didn’t work. I never had regular periods. I got gastric bypass surgery and 5 days later started getting regular periods. After loosing 125lbs in less than a year I had a miscarriage didn’t know I was pregnant. Then got pregnant a year later had to have medically necessary abortion. Got pregnant 2yrs later had baby then 8 months later got pregnant again had that baby got my tubes tied.

Dr put me on metformin to help aid ovulation, as it was the only drug my insurance would help pay for that wasn’t considered a fertility drug…

Me! Took us 3 years on meds :frowning:. Great pregnancy & labor and delivery!!
I’ve heard that MANY women with PCOS after initially getting pregnant, their body hits a re-set button, and it’s much easier with any additional children!
Talk to your OB. They will have a plan for you! I went in monthly for an internal ultrasound so he could do the math and figure out which day or 2 I would for sure be ovulating. Was taking famara (sp?) for 3 years. Then he added a steroid and a shot in the butt (can’t remember the name of that) the month before conceiving, and that did the trick!
Good luck! There is A LOT of info from people who have healed themselves with a specific to PCOS diet. - do some digging! At least it wouldn’t hurt!

Pcos since 15 got on clomid & metformin got pregnant (2xs) with healthy & safe delivery both times

Exercise
Very Minimal sugar
Dairy, soy, gluten, and caffeine free

I had PCOS it took me 3 years with my first 2 with my second and then I was fertile mertal after that! I always lost 20-30lbs before and it really helped! With PCOS you are are greater risk for gestational diabetes too so watch your carb intake while pregnant

Keto works wonders for fertility

I’ve had three babies and suffer with very severe pcos.
What helped me was a very low carb diet.
No potato bread or pasta at all and drink lots of water.
Good luck x

Took me years :pensive: gave up on it, changed jobs, didn’t think about it for about 72 hours then finally it happened x

I have pcos. I didnt have any periods I had almost all the symptoms. I needed to lose 120lbs and we conceived naturally. After taking prenatals, primrose evening oil, for 3 months prior to trying. I tracked my periods using a period tracking app. To help find my ovulation days. Had to do an extremely strict diet. 60-80g of protein, 45g of carbs, low fat, low sugar, 64-80oz of water a day and 45 minutes of working out 5 days a week.:tired_face::tired_face::tired_face: hell of a lot of sweat and tears and frustration but after being told i wouldn’t be able to have kids. I now have a healthy 1 year old.

First thing is first before trying anything too extreme try a lube that promotes conception. I suggest Preseed lube but there are others as well. You can use it as directed or just as a normal lube. Do not use regular lube or saliva. Both hinder sperm.
Give it a bit of time and hopefully that will be enough to help. Good luck.

I have had PCOS since 16. My son’s are 12 and 1. I lost a lot of weight when I fell pregnant with the first one. The second one I was on a steroid for a chest infection and 20kgs over weight. Neither of my boys were planned, as I was told that there would be no way the I could carry children.

Diagnosed at 16. First baby at 23. Used preseed lube and Vitex

Diagnosed at 19 !
Had a daughter 17 while on the pill.
Was told twice I wouldnt be able to have any more children due to no periods at all.
Low and behold I now have 4 children 3 were while on contraception (which was prescribed to try and balance hormones)
Remember every person is different and if your concerned speak to your gp or consultant

Keto. Pregnant after 5 years of trying within 2 months of keto.

Diagnosised in mid 20s. Early 2010 I started a physically stressing job where the weight came off. In total I had lost 165lbs! Periods regulated naturally. At the age of 41 I was shocked by my first and only positive pregnancy test. She’s perfectly beautiful and will be 2 in less than a month. Not by our time but by God’s and no I’m not that spiritual of a woman but by goodness I did receive a miracle.

I truly believe it happens when it’s supposed to oh and I am now 29 and my boys are 11 months apart and my daughter will be 6 years from my youngest

It might be him as well as you. It wouldn’t hurt to have him checked out to see if his sperm count is high enough

I was diagnosed with pcos in 2018, 3 months before my wedding. From everything the doctor told me that day, all I could remember him saying was there was a possibility that I may not have kids. I remember breaking down that day. I was put on metformin and yaz. I took everything to God and prayed so hard for my fertility and the pcos. I left my pill at the end of December 2018 . I got very sick in February 2019 and ended up in hospital. Was sent for a CT scan and they picked up nothing. 2 days later ended up back in hospital, bloods were done and I was pregnant. God is the reason for everything. The CT scan did not pick up or affect my baby and all my cysts were completely gone. That is the power of God

My baby is healthy and is 5 months today. Had a beautiful pregnancy, just had to watch my sugar intake

My first child was a fertility baby, but I got pregnant naturally the second time (after 2 failed IUIs). I was taking metformin and also taking inositol and cassanovum. I got pregnant after only one month of taking the supplements. I also have endometriosis, so I feel like the supplements had to have helped. Cassava Supplement, Fertility Supplement for Twins and Healthy Pregnancy (Cassava Root, Folic Acid. Vitex Agnus Castus, Red Raspberry Leaf, Nettle Leaf) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LLMK4GQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2nSoEbQRVXEGZ

My sister in law struggled with this! Her doctor put her on clomid and she was pregnant within a few months. She now has two beautiful boys. It’s also important to maintain a healthy weight, healthy diet, and do low impact exercise to keep ovulation regular :slightly_smiling_face: good luck!

I have endometriosis. I struggled with 3 out of 5 of my kids. :sob: it was so hard… they had put me on a medication to help me with my eggs. I got pregnant 2 months. I’m so sorry girl prayers u get pregnant

I have PCOS and we had to do IVF. Had a very healthy pregnancy and safe delivery though.

I don’t have it, so I can’t give personal advice, but a follow up with an OBGYN might help. They can give you tips and recommend people who specialize in helping out

I have PCOS and just used the wondfo ovulation test, got busy when the time was right. Also, the right person plays a big part in the equation too. I couldn’t have kids with the two ex boyfriends I was trying with, it just wouldn’t happen, but my husband and I got pregnant within the first year of us actively trying.

I took a low dose of Metformin and was able to get pregnant within a year.

PCOS woman here. We did IVF, other fertility drugs, metformin with no a ton of luck. IVF worked but for me I had early miscarriages. HOWEVER, I lost a bunch of weight, quit smoking and stopped trying and ended up pregnant with my now 3.5 year old daughter. My mom has PCOS and had 3 kids without any fertility intervention. It is really about making sure you are ovulating. My mom always said 2 weeks after your period is when you ovulate but we all know that is not true. I would track your periods, your period comes 2 weeks after you ovulated so you should be able to figure it out. Ovulation over the counter tests dont always work for pcos patients

My dr put me on metformin for my pcos and I got pregnant right away with current pregnancy when usually it took me 8 months at least

For me, it was a combination of two things. 1) Going to an endocrinologist and getting all my levels evened out. This included taking Metformin Extended Release. Took over a year to get that all straight. 2) Stress. I stopped working so much. That’s how I got pregnant with baby #1. For baby #2, we went on a cruise and #bam.

I have PCOS. My husband and I tried for 4 years and also did 4 rounds of clomid during that time with no luck. I had weight loss surgery is 2017, lost 115 pounds and found out we were expecting 9 months after my surgery. Then when our first son was 7 months old we found out we were expecting again! Our boys are now 1 1/2 and 3 months! I don’t have much advice other then if she is overweight to try and lose weight as that is what seemed to work for me but other than that if she hasn’t spoken to a fertility specialist that’s a good place to start as well.

I have PCOS and was lucky to not struggle with fertility. I was taking metformin though for a couple years. I got pregnant 1 month after stopping birth control with twins!

Used metformin and clomid for my first, and then tried again for almost ten years with no luck. So we gave up trying. Doctor recommended Keto diet for my PCOS. Low and behold we ended up with a surprise pregnancy and now have a healthy 8 month old baby boy.

Hi, Sadly it can be a cruel upsetting time for some. But doing the best for yourself both physically and emotionally may help before even trying. I had 3 successful fertility treatments and one a surprise natural conception. All born and okay. Sadly, heartbreakingly I lost four in the first trimester in between. Don’t give up tell your friend, while there’s hope. Listen to the Drs, I was overweight, had no periods for months, all the horrible extras of pcos. Good luck to your friend x

I have PCOS and was told at a young age conceiving would be extremely hard for me if I were to even be able to conceive at all. In 2016 i got pregnant with my son ! He was a huge surprise for us :slightly_smiling_face: and was completely out of nowhere , I had a healthy pregnancy for the most part ! It’s now 2020 and Iam currently 20 weeks with my our second baby! We had planned on having another but agen it was a surprise to us ! So far this pregnancy has been going amazing. I’m not saying this to make anyone feel bad , I just want everyone to no that it can happen naturally as well  there is nothing wrong with getting the help if needed as well! Also I was told that in people with PCOS diet and staying healthy is a huge factor in becoming pregnant, also try and cut out any stresses in your life that could be having an effect on your body as well ! Good luck sweetie

I struggled for over 2 years. Metformin didn’t work and caused me awful side effects. Here’s my blog post to what I did to conceive

https://www.kickingkelseys.com/gettingpregnantwithpcos/

I have PCOS. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex numerous times, and I never got pregnant it was always negative. I got a weight loss surgery back in July 2019, and ended up pregnant in November that same year (2019) and now I’m almost 33 weeks pregnant. Losing a great amount of weight definitely helped me and I hope you can find something to help you! Never lose hope though  best of luck

I have pcos also. Was told at 15 I’d never have kids. When I turned 21 I lost weight and was taking a bunch of vitamins including prenatals and ended up pregnant. Then when I was 26 I got pregnant again after losing more weight and again taking prenatals. I had 3 miscarriages in-between my daughters and had one after my two year old. It can be tough but when you stop stressing and take care of yourself sometimes it just happens

I have pcos and i have my first baby back in 2009…and I met an awesome guy and now we are expecting our baby girl in 5 weeks

Low carb high protein

I have pcos and have 3 beautiful kids

I have PCOS and had a baby without even really trying. It depends on fertility. I would recommend that she and her husband get fertility tested and go from there. As long as they are fertile, then persistence is key. Lots of sex. If she has irregular periods like I do, then she has no idea when she’ll be ovulating so they just have to play the sex lotto as much as possible.
